As I see it, a cover is how a particular group perceive a track that they cover and a tribute does it how it was intended ! That is the why we have cover bands and tribute bands ! Two different things altogether ! At the end of the day its music and we all dig music so why the animosity to each other ? It just doesn't make sense !!

Yes, BJM version use G chord only in transition from E and A open chords,

while BAL version held G chord much more beats...

but in my opinion a great cover must be diffrent by a copy...

and this one it's an original superb cover!

Anenome = E->E7, G, A->A7, g string bend on the second fret.

LSD and the Search For God = E, G/A, A/G, E. E, A/G, G/D. And then at the end of so many bars A is held for awhile. Totally different timing completely. Sure their similar, their friends with Anton, you could say it's inspired by BJM, but it's no cover. Dig.

Brilliant! Very similar, but it has its own thing going on. Its such an eerie song. Love it. Saw The Morning After Girls supporting dandy warhols in Brisbane a few years back. made the dandys look like amatuers! Missing the old lineup, but they still kick arse!
