hiya mate, was wondering how ure set up in ure swim with the two feeder rods? ive just bought a korum accesory chair and i was thinking of fishing with two feeder rods but i think it might be a bit two awkward striking and landing the outside rod?
Try searching the web. Should be around 100€, rather less. The new model is good as well, but the design is kinda fancy :) Thanks for the comment and tight lines!
Used to river fish all the time when i ws young, but been carping for the last 6-7 years now, just started rivers again earlier this season cant beat this type of fishing gr8 vid, i wanna go fishing now :(
Thanks for the comment! If they have enough to eat, they can be very weary, so prefeeding the spot is usually quite helpful. You'll get one soon enough.
All of them match the fish imaged in the video, except the barbel at 4:39, to be honest. Caught a smaller barbel and didn't make a photo, the bite was quite similar.
the berkley cherrywood is one of the worst rod i've ever seen, and in particular it's not adapt for short distance, also in the fastest of the river (maybe in floodwaters, but there are much more better rods)
by the way why do you use rods with a casting weight of 180+ for this kind of fishing? they are not suitable for such tiny hooklinks, expecially whit braid as reel line (and why do you use it for short distance?)
HI there concerned fisherman, i know you're from Italy. :)
1. The Cherrywood is a lovely rod and I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world.
2. The circumstances don't allow a much lighter rod, because I still have to fish with 120g or more, even at short distances. And even a smaller carp with, let's say 8 pounds, can demand everything from your rod, especially in that heavy flow.
3. The 2500 sized reels would be too small for regular feeder fishing, but because of the short distance they are much more comfortable.
4.The small hooklinks never gave me any trouble because of the feeder gum. Try tying a 0,22 link to a size 14 hook, the chances of the hook slipping out of the knot are much higher.
5. I've to use a braided mainline, because of the heavy current. Not everything was filmed at the locations imaged in the video.
Believe me,everything has its purpose. Ty for comment!
but why not using a 13' specialist like the wichwood? or the daiwa B&M? the cherrywood has no action, the shimano extra heavy are better rods in that category, i dislike them too, but they have a better action. and a small reel whith a heavy rod is a nonsense (the rod is still much more havy than the difference of weight between the two reel sizes), a 4000 is not too big but is more powerfull with fishes such as carps and barbels
Absolutely, it doesn't make that much of a difference if you narrow it down to the weight, but I like it the way it is. The CW has a massive "backbone" but a sensitive tip, as you can see in the vid. Well by saying more powerful, you mean the line capture is bigger. This is true, but fighing a bigger fish is much more pleasure, because it takes a little longer.Pre-Feeding is sort of nasty to do with a 2500, but it makes just asmall difference at the short distance. Appreciate your comment though.
