  • i am thai and i happy with thai aircarft carrier. it is the power of royal thai navy and thai peple love that but now chakri naruebet don't have aircraft because harrier out of commission it just

have sea hawk (s-70 b ) bell-212 and s-60 helicopter and i hope some day chakri naruebet it will have new air carft (f -35 )

  • hmz ich bin nackt

  • So the Spanish are boasting there own stuff when it belongs to Thai

  • Who cares about Spain lol?

  • I love thailand

  • man this shit sucks, the 80s sucked ass

  • Why they give the number of the ship '911'? Kind of sensititve.

  • @wtuanmu

She got that long before the incident.

  • @wtuanmu 9 means the 9 th reign of chakri monarch. this is what i know.

  • @tongpeter2010 Wow, 9th already. Long live the kingdom.

  • @wtuanmu The first number is a number that represents the type of vessel.

Which has been in eight different categories.

But the king of the Chakri boat. The tanker aircraft. The new classification of type 9.

  • The second digit. As the number of ships that are in that type.

For example, suppose there are three supply ships. But the second number is 3.

The aircraft carrier in the country. This is not the same as the number 1.

  • Comment removed

  • The last number is how much the aircraft in the fleet.

The king of the Chakri dynasty. It is the first in a fleet aircraft carrier was the number 1.

911 HTMS Chakri Naruebet . Form Thai people :)

  • They should sell it, if they are not using it. It's an impressive vessel. Bet the Iranians, or maybe Israelis could use it.

  • LordBuntaro is right Spain does build the best navy ships in the world. And for the aircraft carrier being out of duty for a long period of time is not a great way to see it rot. Also the Thai Navy receives the least amount of money for the defence force thats why they dont have the money for parts

  • such a shame, she has been inactive for such a long period. Truly, Thai government has incapable of reinstalling new spareparts... Thai Navy should has spent money on other things than something a small country like Thailand with no lethal enemy. Honestly, Idiot.

  • she have served the purpose during tsunami time as well i that the main goal of royal thai navy they need thai ship for a rescue mission more than anything eles

  • Spain is a developed and powerful nation, whoever thought that Spain is incapable of re-armed its Armed Forces or in this case someone else Navy is a dumbass!

  • this carrier was built & eqquiped in spain´s shypiards for the royal navy of thailand, and is one of the most advanced and modern ships of the world.

  • Most information about the aircraft carrier is classified. But one true thing is, They navy has grounded at least 3 Av-8s and 2 more were kept for spare parts. Still, the navy has ordered 6 helicopters 2 will be delivered next year and 2 more every consecutive years. The capabilities of the ship is unknown to most people outside the army but its real punch is lethal

  • People make a mistake when believing that Spain doesn't have power to manufacture these things

  • Spain builds its own ships of war. We have some of the best military shipyard in the world: we build our frigates (we manufacture for countries as Norway or Australia, for example) our submarines (the most modern not nuclear submarine are the S 80, exclusive of Spain); we have capacity to manufacture aircraft carriers, as the Prince de Asturias or one for Thailand, also manufactured here and identical to the Prince de Asturias (but here don't interest the aircraft carriers)...

  • SONSONP

Of what it serve you to have nuclear aircraft carriers and submarines if later you don't win wars as Vietnam or are you finishing in bags, as in Iraq, rubbish?

    You have what you deserve

  • do u take debit?

  • The RTN has decommissioned its fleet of second hand Spanish Harriers due to lack of spare parts, so now they have been left with two alternatives for this ship: first is to use it as a Helicopter Carrier and second is to wait for about ten years and then acquire a fleet of F-35s, when it becomes available, to be put onboard this ship. The decommissioning or selling of this ship is out of question since this is the flagship of the RTN and, above all, its name is given by His Majesty the King.

  • They can use it some day later. It costs too much fuel.

  • Maybe they can sell it back to Spain?

  • The Chakri Naruebet is basically a white elephant. It is not really doing any sort of service to the Royal Thai Navy. They really should've stuck with corvettes and frigates, because now they may have to decommission it...

  • They should sell it to the Sri Lankan Government. They need all the subs and frigates and destroyers and fast attack craft they can get. The Thai aircraft carrier would be much needed there. They

need heavily armed aircraft like the American skyraiders of the vietnam war.
