I liked the first darkness (being this one) far better then the second, the way this is set up, the grim nature of it, it makes you know that the darkness should be feared, the second game was fun to play but it lost something... @theowarrior yeah, he gets consumed, but he managed to control the darkness. If u played the demo, The darkness is saying to jackie to use him again. Apparently, jackie never used the darkness since the first game. I guess we got to wait to feb 7. There is a hint in the demo when u get the first relic about the darkness counterpart, the Angelus so that is a plot hint right there :D
I dont really understand what premise there was for them to make a second game, but from what ive played in the demo, cant really complain. Kinda the same thing for Prototype 2.

Well, according to the comic books, Jackie wouldn't have died per say after he shot Polly. The host of the Darkness is killed when a male offspring is conceived. This would explain why he has to "wake up." However, the game does not exactly follow the comic to the letter. I'm sure most of the unresolved bits will be explained in the sequel.

After Jackie shot Pauly the darkness consumed his soul, but somehow he managed to wake up (probably thanks to Jenny) before the gate to heaven. "They" that Jenny spoke of were probably the angles and, because Jackie's soul was tainted by darkness, they only allowed them enough time to only say good bye. Jacky loved her so much and in the end, she was ripped away from him. Words cannot express the sadness Jacky must have felt.

This the saddest ending to a great game and ending to one of the best comic book story arcs of all time I cry everytime i watch this video and it makes me think on how i did my gf who was everything to me and how i lost her to a stupid mistake.
