@TORNADOchaserful I get all of my fish from local fish stores here in south florida. The firefish and chromis are from a place formerly known as "big als", now its called all fish emporum. The clowns I bought from a smaller store called exotic aquatic - they were a mated pair from figi I think
I should have bought 2 true percula clownfish just like LA fishguys and it will be nicer with the green or rose anemone too oh well I got 4 different types of clownfish in my tank already if I put more clownfish they will fight each other
are u using just a return pump for your reef tank as flow? are u going to add soft corals in their too? what did u add in your sump tank I mean like filtreation and all those stuff? I have a white bubble anemone and it is still aliv but I am just wondering why is my bubble anemone is always closing its mouth and I have a koralia 4 and 2 in their that is fine for my bubble anemone right?
In this video, yes, I was only using a mag 5 as circulation for my tank. But, that was a long time ago. Reef tanks need a lot of water movement, otherwise you will end up with a lot of algae like in my video here. Now, I use 2 koralia 2's for flow and a Rio 1800 for my closed loop. I have also added quite a few corals - various zoas, frogspawn, red monti cap, gsp, a few shrooms, and a toadstool. I also run an aquaCremora skimmer and a TLF phosban reactor. My sump is a 15 gal sump/fuge.
If your bubble anomone is white, that means its sick/dying. All anemones require pristine water conditions, an established tank (meaning your tank has been running for at least a year), and very good lighting (4-5 watts per gallon of water). If you have all of these elements, and you have decent flow in your aquarium, the anemone will move to a spot it feels most comfortable. If you bought the anemone recently and it was white, I would consider returning it, especially if your tank is new.
Do you ever have a problem with the arrow crab fighting/eating anything else? I want to get a coral banded shrimp (I already have an arrow crab) but I keep reading how they tend to kill each other. Your tank looks great!
where did you get these fish
