why didnt he move right? im not a great bowler, but i would have moved ALOT to the right side. cause he wasnt even coming close. he didnt even make my average. i think i could have made my average though. lmao
no you couldn't. it is really easy to say that as a third party. but nothing comes close to those conditions. he didn't move because you move when you're making a good shot and the ball isn't reacting as you'd like. he was missing, and he knew it. he was trying to play a tighter line than he could under pressure, and because of that he was missing right, getting fast, or missing it at the bottom of the swing.

Norm IS one of the best bowlers on the PBA Tour, but Walter Ray Williams Jr. is the BEST bowler on the PBA Tour, I used to be a Pete Weber fan, but I'm not as crazy about him as I used to be when he gets so many strikes, he does those vulgar movements, and I can't appreciate that, that's NOT being a good sportsman.
when you are exempt, you don't have to go through the TQR round, you are automatically in the top 64 for the tournament, but if you aren't, like rhino page was last year, you have to go through 7 games of the tour qualifying round to actually get into the tournament.
There are only 55-60 exempt players allowed on tour. So if you win a regular season title, you are exempt for next tour season. If you win a major title, you are exempt for 2 seasons. Norm was going to lose his tour card if he didn't perform big at a tournament. So this particular show was like a Cinderella story for him.
The guys who are exempt don't have to pay for the tournament or go through the TQR to bowl. The jump straight into the tournament. Exemption is hard to earn. But it's worth it if you can get a spot on tour.
Norm Duke in my eyes i the greatest bowler ever. What can't he do? Throw him the hardest pattern, he'll always break 200. Give him a deadly flu, he'll always break 200. Throw him in the finals on TV with all the pressure, he'll always win. I love that guy and I think he deserves the utmost respect from everyone on tour. DUUUUUUUUUUKE.
Challenging oil patterns is how you control scoring paces. You would see alot less high scores in leagues if the proprietors would put the more challenging stuff to bowl on. That is what seperates the pros from the rest of us amatuers.
shafer is bowling really bad here, norm couldn't possibly lose to him.
