Yeah- at 36 volts it was going to boil water soon because anything over 2-2.5 volts per gap is wasted as heat...

I didn't measure the temp but after time it was getting hotter so I will need to drop the voltage and this will slow the amperage and the heat .

Yep, 36 V = nice heating device,

you need only around 1.50 V per Cell.

higher voltage go's to producing heat not to bubble fabrication.

Do you use NaOH or KOH as electrolyte ?

At 36 volts there should be about 17 nuetral washers between the positive and negative terminals. I only count 7 in your set up.
