  • But isn't there a 4th scene when Suzie sees Jack really getting into it towards the end of the movie?

  • You're right Sennaboss. This tune played this way should have beën on the soundtrack. Bittersweet melancholy at it's best

  • The big question I have, is that Jeff playing or Dave Grusin? It's my understanding that Jeff came up with this on his own from a recent interview with Dave Grusin. I wish they would have developed this more and put it on a CD. One of the best jazz piano passages I have ever heard.

  • "I saw you dusting off your dreams..." that's a line that really hit home when I first saw this movie. Pure truth in this movie. The battle of being an artist who also has to make money.

  • what is the name of this song he is playing?

    very cool!!!!

  • Jack's Theme by Dave Grusin. My favorite song. I enjoy the sweet sadness or sweet loneliness.

  • Thias piano genius you here is Dave Grusin!!!!

  • One of the best scenes of this movie.

  • This reminds me of my brother. Whenever he is off from his gig he slips into a jazz joint in New Orleans and plays drums. Love his chops. I think every musician has jazz in him. Just doesn't pay much dough..

  • @PinkPrism008 A player needs to play just as much as he/she needs to breathe air.

  • GOD I LOVE THIS SO MUCH Tovarski thank was just about this whole film for the pettatonic scales this dude is playing but i found my cd broken

    such a shame={

if you like this look for peter king in his album footprints the song no5 called 'the search for peace' similar chord changes and style- i saw peter king (ukjazzoldschoolgod) play that in the pizza express

    SMOOTHjazzlives on (in the soul)

  • I couldn't agree more, I love it too!

I performed a quick 'n dirty search just now to look for the clip you are looking for. I don't believe it is published on YouTube yet. Thanks! I will upload the clip this evening, especially for you.

    Take care,

    Rogier

  • @Tovarski

Thanks so much for this very poignant scene. Jack is so sullen and bored to tears with "Feelings", but once left to himself at Henry's Jazz Club, he comes alive and Suzie recognizes the true Jack.

  • i love this movie,is there a clip when Jeff plays alone after New year?
