Okay the open was great, but why the hell would you have that music afterwards, "Oh, here you see a patrol car crashed" and someone potentially got hurt or lost their life, and you're playing happy music, please, have some sympathy and DO NOT play music during times like that, it's better to have it off.

Khambrel was a news anchor for a while at this same station up unitl about 2005 or 06 then became a producer for the newscast and decided he wanted to be back on air, and decided that he would come back in weather.

I'm glad the anchor is only filling in. He's a great investigative reporter, but he seems way too stiff (for lack of a better term) at the anchor desk.

I despise them using "Viral". They should've had Gari make them another update of Hometown instead of using Viral. Don't get me wrong, I like Viral but Local 2 should've stayed in the Gari side. I'm happy with the rest of their stuff (graphics-wise).

they have new graphics, now they need new anchors (except mornings)to take the 4,5,6,10pm spot

and i really think they could compete again.

Huge improvement over the cheap-looking stuff they had before, esp. the opens. Tracking the Tropics graphic looks like garbage tho. In other words, you can tell what was done in-house and what wasn't.

Actually, the "Tracking the Tropics", "Decision 2008" and a few other segment opens are from the previous graphics package that was done at the station. Most of the franchises haven't begun using updated graphics...

I like the new music. It certainly fits them better than Advantage or the cuts they were using of Hometown when they switched back to it...I think KPRC has finally gone to a look that fits them and the market. The graphics are nice, they look a little like Hothaus' work, but knowing KPRC's history, I doubt they are. Good job KPRC, the new look works well for you.
