@CinemasHabbo He doesn't use the clutch on the down changes or when he's slotting the gear lever in a straight line. What they were talking about during the lap was how some drivers used the clutch when they were moving over into another gate when they used the H pattern box. Basically it was a quick dab of the clutch to just momenterally reduce the load on the drive train and avoid the slotting the wrong gear and over revving the engine.
