In all fairness, there are a lot of other places in the world where people are more stupid: Africa, South America, India, most of southeast Asia (including most of China, excluding Japan and possibly South Korea), Central America, some of eastern Europe, THE MIDDLE EAST, etc...

By these polls showing that more 'educated' people believe in evolution is simply by the fact that religion and creationism has been driven out of our schools. I'm not a Christian, but it is completely understandable why people are Christian. 1) Most North Americans are brought up to be Christians because of their parents and probably most of the people in their life as a child. 2) It is very hard to accept that we have no purpose and are probably gonna be rotting in the ground when we die.

The discovery of Ardipithecus Ramidus indicates that our last ancestor lived much much longer ago than previous evidence has shown. Also, Ardi has proven that our last ancestor was not a chimp at all, rather, it was another bi-ped; however, this bi-ped ancestor still had finger like toes mixed with reduced canines, an awkward combination.

Jups time and that's why macro evolution is speculation because in theory they say it can happen but in reality it's not happening. THe fossil record is not showing it. It show a cambrium explosion with al the species as they are know. Jonathan Welsch explains that thoroughly. Chemical and biological evolution makes claims about the arival of life. We see degeneration of all species. The cheetay is almost exstinct because of his genepool which is getting smaller and more corrupted with errors.

Chromosomes. Problem is that a taboco plant has 47 chromosomes and some plants, animals who are not looking a like have the same number of chromosomes so that's no argument for a common ancestor for humans and chimps. Our DNA is most related with worms so is he our ancestor no he isn't.
Plus we Humans use the same technologies for cars, jet airplanes, motorcycles. I mean their is a general comon related technology. So i say one designer used the same principles in creating life.

I was actually talking about the human chromosome number 2 which is a fusion of 2 ape chromosomes thats why humans have 46 chromosomes while other apes have 48.
Also theres no evidence for a designer as opposed to evolution which has genetic evidence, fossil records, and we've seen it happen. It's not a good idea to compare carbon based life with motorcycles either.

That's the debate that not enough people have. I think it's clear the today's religions do a terrible job, but something probably would have to replace them if they are removed. So we should research the neurology of religion and find out what best would fill that gap.

I hear people debate all the time about whether science proves evolution. But the debate isn't really science at all. It's about which worldview improves quality of life the most.
Anyone who says they can prove that God exists or that evolution is a fact is relying more on feeling than science. The whole debate is reminiscent of bipartisanship, and I find it disgusting.

Sorry thats micro evolution and not macro evolution. Micro is just the variation within the species. Plus new information is not added, its just altering it a little bit or a loss of information.
We do not see animals change in something else and that it happend in the past is just speculation because there is a huge gap in the fossil record.

I have read enough about evolution. And the theories look verry interesting but in the reality of life i don't see it. Sorry micro evolution is just a variation within in the kind. You know dogs and cats have lots of variations of cats. I don;t see evolution i see degeneration of all species. The gene pool is getting smaller and not bigger like evolution is telling you. A verry simpel argument: why are all species separate ones I don;t see intermediates now.

By viewing the Universe, and the order rather than chaos suggests a designer or a creator. Even Einstein agreed with that. Eastern Religions such as Hinduism show a fantastic mix of "Gods" and Creation. If you enjoy the show Cosmos search YouTube for -"Carl Sagan - Cosmos Episode 10 part 4". Carl explains this relation very well and it is an enjoyable ten minute journey.
Nothing proves or disproves any particular God or Creator, however you'd have to be blind to just rule out a designer.

I went to a class for math during the summer one time, cause I was going to fail 7th grade, it took as much time to teach me 7th + 1/2 a year of 8th grade math as my school took to teach me half of 7th..

I went to a catholic school, my family is lower middle class, and I only have a GED.
But my IQ is around 150 and I am a rationalist. If I want to know something I can analyze and determine. I think the average person is simply stuck at a 90-100 IQ there whole lives and so it's impossible for them to be analytical. A friend I grew up with, he couldn't understand simple things, it was laughable except that it was also sad. He was Not a person of below average intelligence, but average..

All of these polls are misleading. As Abraham Lincoln put it: "The philosophy of the school room in one generation will be the philosophy of society in the next." By these polls showing that more 'educated' people believe in evolution is simply by the fact that religion and creationism has been driven out of our schools. So, new generations opinions reflect what they are being taught in school now. It is not proof that one view is smarter than the other.
