Well in the Book they are using Railguns which are firing caseless ammunition just like in this Series. Only the third part of Starship Troopers was a BIT like the Books but with a very low Budget. Halo is a copy from SST and Alien vs Predator and maybe Starcraft.

Why are other squads always so weak when it comes to combat? It always seems that they always seem to take massive casualties, or are pinned down by large amounts of bugs they can't seem to kill, unlike Alpha Team, who can massacre large amounts of bugs like nothing.

The other squads' aiming is probably just so poor, and that's how they failed. lol.
