It was New Year's Day, 1998. I had been dating this girl for a couple months and she finally let me bang her that day. We got drunk and had sex about 10 times....
Anyway, in between "sessions", I heard this song on MTV for the first time and liked it so much that it was stuck in my head all day. So now whenever I hear it, I think of that day and all the hot, drunk sex I had. Great memories. Great song.
@elmosasukehayate >.> It's a parody of the 1979 movie "Alien" which was a HUGE inspiration for all the military tech in Halo, from vehicle design the even the marines and black sergeant.
Wow I had no Idea this was Goldfinger I saw this video a long time ago and it beat off a Big Wreck song on a MTV show where they voted for the songs to get air time that I liked.
@DonStirFrye Ska music had been around for decades BUT. This was the beginning of a different style and i only say that because it's combined with alternative rock. That made it popular again in the 90's for a "short while"
LOL they references so many movies in just one film lol Theres Alien of course with the whole corridor and the chest burster then Arnold with heavy gun in a muscle shirt then Spaceballs with the car as a spaceship and how he escapes then finally i think it may be a reference to wizard of oz how he wakes up in bed ... i'm assuming he let out the "and you were there and you were there" skit from wiz out because it wouldn't really have any true effect on the video haha
2:53 badass lol. i love goldfinger and i love their punk-ska style of music, every album they have made is great. this is off hangups, now that is a kickass record. just listen to skiers must perish, chicken mcnuggets 20 cent goodbye, and of course the awesome Superman
I think Simon was an awesome bassist. Listen to "Pictures" or "The Last Time". I mean Kelly is good too, but IMO you don't need a 5-string for pop-punk.
well they don't pay for the video themselfs. also the video doesn't look that expensive tbh. certainly nothign that they couldn't gain back on the single
yeah, this was the good goldfinger.. I like them still, and they have some rockin' new songs, but the music isn't as good when overshadowed by focusing all your efforts on shocking the world as to how bad eating meat is.
