Problem is, Joseph Smith provided samples of reformed Egyptian to Anthon. Those samples are known. JS claims Anthon Confirmed the glyphs were "Syrriac, Egyptian, Arabic, Chaldaic". Thus, we have a claim of evidense JS in print. Also JS claim is Anthon Confirmed JS. And when JS says the word "Mormon" is from "More" in English, we have More, so to speak, Reformed Egyptian. Sadly, no such language/alphabet exists. And the glyphs are letters, not hieroglyphs. And English didn't exist until c325AD

there is no evidence in this video of the language spoke by Nephi or Moroni. So to say that the language would have changed is irrelevant.

With the bible, i think the first book Job was written approx 3500 years ago, and the last book was around 100AD. And all other books are in between, and we have thousands of manuscripts dating close to the original writings for most of the bible. We know the full languages Ancient Hebrew, the Aramaic dialect and Greek.

@d4drules Jews were not the only. Judah didn't even recieve the birthright from Jacob. It was Joseph, and Jacob had 12 sons, not one. SO therefore it was the gentiles and the 12 twelve tribes of Israel, and not just judah.

The book of Mormon families that migrated out identify themselves as descendants of Joseph thru Ephraim, and Manesseh. Ezekiel 37:15-17 This prophecy indicates that Two records will be one. Record of Judah (bible), and record of Joseph (BoM.)

So did He just write those scattered Jews off as "unsaved" just because they had lost access to the scriptures due to their initial disobedience? Is there no balm in Gilead for them as well? The majority of clues linking the book of Mormon is where the largest pyramid in the world sits, covered in Jungle in Guatemala.

If they are saying that a language has morphed into Mayan, it is several languages (Hebrew and Egyptian at least). and it seems to me that Egyptian does resemble Mayan in form. But mostly this video is just talking about linguistic changes.
