Good Review!! I say this because you show that there is an issue with VDJ and the Mixtrack Pro. I still haven't figured out why the scratching is not as responsive as with Traktor and Serato Intro. So I also saw your review with the Mixdeck. With Traktor there is a lot of mapping you have to do. But with the Mixtraxk Pro Serato is the best works well for me and my sons who are beginners.
The controler is very responsive, i use it and it is very very good for this price. If you compare with vinyl and want vinyl, go with vinyl, this is a digital MIDI controler.
please help me, i'm using a numark mixtrack PRO and i just wanna ask how can i connect this to a mixer then, mixer to PA speakers and subs. pls help 'coz just gettin' started here. thank you.
hello there! good video! just one question! i am going to buy the numark mixtrack pro and i am also going to buy speakers to my computer. But can i just put the computer speakers into my computer and my mixtrack pro into my computer via usb cable? then i will get the sound from my speakers. there is no need for rca cables right? :) please reply!
i bought one and i returned it.. nothing against it at all. it kinda felt a little too plastic to me. do you have a problem with the green light on the pitch control...the center light is slow responsive? Did you try the Serato DJ Intro?
so you bought a midi controller to scratch?.. A jog wheel on a cdj and midi controller will never be good for scratching.. maybe n7 or whatever its called.. but dude.. get ur self some 1210mkII.. Midi controllers and stuff like that is more for the regular club or bedroom dj.. not battledjs/turntableists.. The the companies say they can scratch is to fool people that have never touched a turntable.
Hi! i bought a mixtrack pro and it works but when i install the software its only good for 20days did you had the same problem did you had to buy the full version bacause after 20 days it only works for 10minutes plz help me. :(
Great video but hey i need help, when i am scratching a sample and try to bring the jog wheel to the start of the sample it goes to slow is there any way i can make it play the sample as soon as i let go of the jog wheel? It just slowly backspins then plays plz help
my mixtrack uses an asio driver with slow buffers and has a near vinyl like response, the responsiveness of the unit is remarkable but it depends on your computer and operating system.
@DongerDingDang .... Hey Ding Dang, are you even a real DJ... go play freeze tag or something kid. I guess you would think they were responsive if you have never touched a real turntable.
@PSRplaystoprewind You got to remember that this is a fairly cheap turntable, it's not trying to compete against lets say Pioneer CDJ-400 or even cdj-200. It's built for people that want to get into dj'ing, also since it's connected to the computer there are more calculations needed by the computer to keep up on what you're pressing and doing. Mostly this is a Virtual DJ software problem. Anyway I like you'r review and love you'r critism (Not sure if i spelled that right) :D
This board is great for the price, and even though it is mostly plastic the hardware is pretty sturdy. The only thing to watch out for is that you cant replace the crossfader if it goes out..so get the warranty!
@PSRplaystoprewind did u try it maybe on a better of faster pc or laptop? just wondering could it be the computer ur usin that is slow? cause im very interested in gettin this for home use too but after lookin at the delay im not too sure now.
@TheFoxypa I can eat my words on a lot of this video, I need to do another one. Once you remove the lock symbol beside the cue buttons, the cue buttons work fine. It also increase the response time when scratching. Still not the best thing to scratch on, but for $250... It almost can hang with my Pioneer CDJ1000. If you spend an extra $150 to upgrade to VDJ Pro, you will have more options to fine tune MixTrack Pro. My review is just with the LE version. Upgrade to Pro... trust me.

HI dear uploader! thanks for the honest review! most of the reviews telling all the positive things, but it is rare that somebody is telling us the negative things as well, like you did for ex. bout the hot que slowness thing...
I have a question about this:
Is that possible that this slowness is becouse of the virtual dj LE?
You know, according to the official Numark site, it says the unit comes with Traktor LE in Europe and Asia. Can it be better with that? Thanks!

for the nonresponsive platters go to config then click the tab that says options and move the jog sensitivity(scrach) to the right as far as you want it.
@KoushOWNs ... Try this, there is a lock symbol next to the que buttons on VDJ. Make sure it is not lit or selected. It will allow you to scratch and use the cue buttons with more freedom. When the lock is selected, the software will try to beatmatch everything for you. Since I have released that lock, I am scratching like a pro again. Also, since adding more ram to my laptop, the software reacts quickly. I have 3 gig ram, core2 1.90 ghz processor. I have no complaints with this unit.
No, you are right my friend. I was using vdj pro 7 and was able to adjust everything there. Sorry for not paying attention. Any way my best regards to you. Have you done many live shows with yours? Also are you able to connect an ipod via usb and grab tracks from that device using the mixtrack pro?
@djmalarky No, I haven't done any with it yet... I am just using it to make mix tapes, instead of setting up the CDJs everytime. I think I am going to give it a try at a club, I am having fun with the effects. I haven't tried my Iphone yet, the last time I was djing with my Iphone the phone rung and embrassed the heck out of me... LMAO...
@PSRplaystoprewind Ya man, now thats funny. I've had my fair share of embarrasing moments but all you can do is look em in the eye and laugh. Im going to try the mixtrack pro using virtual dj pro 7 at a live gig on the 10th and if all goes well I'll try it again with a larger crowd in a bigger setting. I will hit you up and give you the 411 after i'm done. Keep in touch and as I allways say, Love, Peace and Hairgrease...Malarky out.
you do know that you can go into your computer config and set your jog wheel responsivness for the exact latency that you want for scratching, dont you???

It just came out here in NC in March at the Guitar Center... and wasn't suppose to be released until March 2011. Some people were able to get there hands on it early, and some are using the regular MixTrack and not the Mixtrack Pro, the only difference is the built in sound card on the Pro...
when did the mixtrack pro come out? i heard you mention a week ago, but other people have had their hands on it months ago. cause it's 2011 and im worried a new numark model might just come out. thanks
PS... I had the mixtrack pro plugged into a Core2 laptop with 2gbs of RAM, 180gb HD and no other programs running. So, that could be the cause of the slow response from the Hot Cues and platter. the reason your audio's low is simply because the middle leveler is for the volume.
you can do the double up on the quarter not you have to feed your que's in and out and quarter it on the other side.

You can triple / quadruple tap with the stutter button after you press the hot cue point. The cue point just sets the location on the track.
Have you tried scratching on this?
