  • very nice, reminds me original Fallout model

  • nice work - just learning zbrush myself and love it - maybe you can show us more of the process - especially how you make hands - cheers.

  • were do you get the softwear and how do you sculpt and do all of this

  • @bigdady325 Pixologic sells it, Digital Tutors and GnomonWorkShop sells videos on how to use it. Then I practice.

  • I hope you finished (or are finishing) this model. Just one question, how did you seperate each limb/part by color in zbrush (I am a big novice of zbrush) in polygon view mode?

  • @silkyskeeter Hey Thanks for the encouragement and reminder :) Actually I haven't touched it in a while. You are right I should be finishing it. The color are intrinsic when you use Zspheres but you can group them with selecting a section and "group visble". Try a Digital Tutors ZB tutorial DVD.

  • I think it's 600. but that had a $100.

  • Can you move the body parts after finishing the model? Like, to make an animation.

  • Yes, ZB has a posing tool, but to animate it I would take it into a different software.

  • I only hope I can learn to model like this one day...I'm at this crusp in my life where I need to decide between having a stable job I'm not happy with and doing it for the rest of my life, or pursuing what I really want to do, which is things like conceptual designs and character modeling. My background is in graphic arts (Drawing, photoshop etc.) but I really want to evolve into 3d. I've downloaded blender and I'm playing with it when I have free time. Thank you for more inspiration!

  • Yeah, I remember when I had to make that choice(s). First I had to chose between following my art or having a steady job well paying job. Then several years later, when I had a great job as an 3D graphic artist, I had to make a choice whether I wanted to become an character designer/modeler. Now I am facing a choice of am I going to be my own film producer. :) I believe you just helped me come to a decision. I am moving forward and I won't turn back now. My future is forward not behind me.

  • Hope is all you need.

  • So you're pursueing this? Or just a hobby for the time being?

  • I'm not a hobbyist, but I have been acting like one lately. I need to purse it more fervently.

  • Thanks.
