There is no evidence...none... that global warming is man made. It is a farce. All evidence points to regular changes in climate. CO2 increases after temperature increases. Polar bears are increasing population as all things do in warmer climate. Ice melts in summer. And scientist / politicians are taking advantage of doctored and falsified data, and a lack of education to promote this crap. This is a small video "aimed" at children. PUBLIC education will make your kids "weather police"? Wake up
Let's ignore for a moment that you're dead wrong on the issue of evidence (seeing as the evidence is actually conclusive that it's caused by human activity; natural climate change does NOT jump exponentially over the course of fifty years - or are we gonna pull a "Hackel's drawings" over climategate?). Since what we were originally discussing whether this cartoon was designed to indoctrinate children, let me ask you this: how many children do you think sat up to watch a political debate on CNN?
ok Very few kids watch political debates. Why should they? Let me say DEBATE is never closed. Also let me say truth is the truth no matter the source. I believe global warming is a hoax. Tell me where to look to find things to teach me otherwise. Kids should not have thier emotions toyed with by telling them santa and polar bears are in danger.if it was real they could be taught fact. When you are done teaching me i will show you my sources and we will see if we can agree. NO hockey sticks ok
I might not get the hockey sticks reference, but if you'd like an Internet source, evidence that the earth's average temperature has increased sharply within a short amount of time is often presented in any discourse on global warming. Concerning polar bears, the ice caps themselves have decreased in size over a few decades. If you'd like specific named sources, I can do that in a separate post.
I was looking over it again, and I think I missed that you sort of higlighted the word debate. I don't know if I'm putting words in your mouth, but did you mean that warming is an unresolved question? I only ask because the scientific consensus is that it does occur, and the generally demonstrable cause is the greenhouse effect. I'll oblige with specific citations on request, and sorry if I attributed an argument to you that you didn't inted to make.
yes i hear the debate is over. it is not. i am never convinced by what people say is happening on any issue. i am no climatologist but i know a little bit enough that you wont illeagally search my shit. sorry jay z refference lol. "hockey stick" graph is a dissproven temperature increase graph. i think climate change is real just not anthroprogenic. it is sun driven not greenhouse. i am open for sources on this just dont close off debate. Peace love and chicken grease
I see. You're referring to the MBH98 reconstructions. While I know there were some spurious claims from outside the scientific community attacking the methodology, you could hardly call it "disproven" with any seriousness. I don't know where you heard anything about a debate being over, but "debate" doesn't so much occur in science as peer review, in which all experiments and findings are essentially pilloried by scientists with criticism, counter-testing, etc.
Watch The Man-Made Global warming Hoax starting at part 1 . I love the phrase "peer review" It eliminates my ability to input OK that might not be to bad. But far far more destructive is the fact it implies I cannot question a theory or conclusion. Al Gore, Obama, Pelosi all say in plain English "the debate is over" it is not my phrase I hate it. My experiment consists of walking outside(pretty cold). 79 Global cooling. 99 Y2K. '01 Global Warming. Exposed as bullshit now "climate Change" hmmm?
Wait, what? Peer review is a demonstration that you can, indeed, question everything and are, by the non-authoritarian nature of science, encouraged to. It's just that, when religious or political passions get involve, "questioning" can quickly turn into jumping to conclusions based on pseudoscientific or spurious refutation (see creationism). And your isolated, controlled scientific experiment for analyzing the average temperature of the globe over several decades is walking outside? Great
no man i am trying to keep this light. of course i follow recorded temps.i am saying our government paid for results and got what they paid for in the data. then they paid for the peer review. and then said sorry consensus is... and debate is closed i accuse them of being pseudoscientific. again its about state funding. i am saying political passion is all this is. not proven. but if i was given source data unaltered i could peer review. my mind is never closed and new stimulus will change it. K
Your claims of bias and pseudoscience are completely unfounded; state funding is not enough to establish clear breaches in objectivity. You'd have to analyze the specific experiments. And what of those in government who do not believe in global warming? Are they not significant in number? How is it their funding gas not yielded contrary results? No one has said anything about a debate being closed, but "debate" is hardly on par with informed analysis, if your "experiment" is any indication.
"....I find the indoctrination at schools to be pretty relentless. On a recent Grade 7 test my daughter was asked something to the effect of, "How are you going to educate your parents about global warming?"
only because someone else says to do so as an invasion of privacy. I would do it and still tell you i was not because it is none of your business or mine what happens in the privacy of the home. I especially dont like socialist and fascist policy written from bogus doctored science. This policy is no life saver it kills more in 3rd world countries than running my tap. look up lifestyle and health, based on carbon emissions. and eugenics.
I'd be extremely careful throwing around the phrases "fascist", "socialist" (thatsba curious one), and "doctored science", and I'd also be a little careful making claims about people in Third World countries being "killed" by carbon restrictions and tossing in the word "eugenics". It comes off as a bit paranoid and Manichaean.
Ok in this country we and i emphasize we, can say whatever we want as long as it doesnt infringe on your rights. If i cant we are so far gone that i weep. Not allowing 3rd world nations to develope because of carbon restrictions is imposing poverty and disease. More carbon emmissions equals longer lifespan per capita. Statistics not theory. I went to your channel. I like education. But liberal education in a liberal state is not all there is. Your teachers? Biased Why? Funding.
I find it first of all extremely disturbing that you think carbon emissions increase the lifespans of any organism. And what does capping emissions in other nations have to do with legislation to cap them here? And why do you think industry absolutely MUST rely on pollution to be beneficial? And do you know my teachers? They get their curriculum from the state. And where does my state get her funding? Tax-payers. Baseless accusations of bias don't refute research or science.
no. carbon emmissions do not increase the lifespan. tractors leisure time and electricity and medical care help to increase your lifespan. in countries with high emmissions they rest more and live longer. development means longer lifespan AND higher emmissions. we are cap and trading small countries also as in KIOTO or Copenhagen. we are rich enough to buy carbon credits they are not we are stopping development. yes yes the state imposed education, exactly. i am not trying to accuse orbebiased:)
Wait. So, there is absolutely no possible means of industrial development without unwieldy amounts of carbon emissions? Also, Japan and most countries in Europe are fairly industrialized and affluent; it has been proposed that underdeveloped nations be allowed to emit carbon over a transitional period of industrialization as these would be isolated and controlled instances that will not compound any damage already done.
I have been to many places around the world. I also am a fan of history. What i mean by socialist in this country is what is termed entitlement programs. Chicago,Detroit, L.A. and mainly any city or state or country run "liberal/communist" is doomed to implode it will increase taxes and give to "entitled" welfare people until it fails. true freedom is your right to self govern and succeed independently. Take from the rich and give it to the poor? Robin Hood was an outlaw! As is obama. limit Gov.
I'm gonna ignore that you seemed to seriously missed the point of Robin Hood stories. Republicans have been throwing around the word socialist since Roosevelt; Obama (aka Barry) is no socialist. I should know, hint hint. If you wanna talk about limiting government, we have a point if agreement. However, there is no reason why emission and waste has to be an essential component of freedom. And I hardly consider the right-proposed DEA congruent with less government.
no. pollution is like human waste we dont want to live in our own filth. its the method of change not being democratic and the timing seems a little off. and make no mistake i am enjoying this and when they finnaly legalize it and get rid of the jackboot DEA i would puff puff pass with you for sure. i never said i was right. maybe, i say maybe jeffertonian but please not right i am not an idealist but dedicated to hearing my inner voice-and yours on issues(not god by the way) i really like R.H.
ok well i did learn things from you especially plans for industrial growth transitional period. i am still not in agreement but that is kinda part of this process. i hope you found me open to discussion and in no way angry there are many people who just enjoy discussion and new people. take care
The sad thing is that this has to be the best way ever to ask about global warming in fact it is probebly the best video in the whole cnn youtube debate.

I don't think they're trying to "ain" it at children, considering children don't usually watch CNN political debates.
I really do hope they'll send wine to the parents, though.
