if it hadnt been for mike love and the present line up thousands of bb fans all over the world would have been robbed of seeing and hearing such great concerts,thanks mike and keep it going.the music goes on.
Because Brian legally gave them the name and they're good......Mike is and always will be the voice of the Beach Boys and this band they have now is awesome and has earned the name!
@75DrummerBoy Sorry, but I disagree with you. Although Mike Love's vocals were prominent in a lot of their songs, Carl's (and Brian's when he was with them) was of paramount importance. Look at 'God Only Knows', and 'Good Vibrations', to name just two. For me, Carl was the voice of the BB. alienhuman hit the nail on the head: 'No Wilsons-No Beach Boys. Just my opinion though.

You can say that about a hell of alot of bands. Line-ups get changed but the band name stays the same.
