I agree, there is no reason why this man shouldn't simply go for the diet and exercise route, he's not 500 pounds - american should stop thinking surgery when they are at this weight
Please don't limit your food intake and risk your life with WLS. Start a new and healthy lifestyle with a RAW FOOD VEGAN DIET and loose the weight just as quickly.

I'm really excited to follow your show... my older sister, my good friend, my aunt, and my mother-in-law all had the surgery with extremely mixed results. I only wish they would have tried walking with me for one week or drank green juice or asked for my help before they did it... best wishes for you no matter what you choose. xo Bex
I think it depends on who you are... some people are able to modify their behavior. I feel like people who grew up with strong tradition especially involving food have a harder time changing their habits. I didn't know how important a vegetable was until was 24. So to spend my time eating nothing but healthy foods is next to impossible because if i dont have bread or fat I start to get sick.
WLS patients have to take a lot of vitamins to get their nutrients. 4 times a day actually. You have to follow a reallly strict guideline or you will end up back in the hospital.
It's a life style change what ever he choses to do.
I wouldn't mind watching the series either, but like you said I hope it's not a slanted view on WLS. What people need to realize is that WLS isn't for everyone. Having any type of surgery to help you lose weight requires a LIFELONG commitment. & for anyone that is not willing to do it for the long haul should seriously consider researching other weight loss methods.
Long term success is contingent on effort & commitment!!!
hmm... no offense to anyone to has had the surgery or anything, or that doctor, its just most cases compell me to think , and i am almost certain, that the surgery is wrong. losing weight naturally is hard, but it doesn't mean u cant do it!
besides, how r u supposed to get your nutrients from one bite of a cheeseburger!
@sk8tergirl939 The stomach will STRETCH back out again over 2 years. People have FAT to live on so they don't starve while the stomach is small. The bad problem is 50% of them continue to EAT JUNK again and stretch the stomach back out and regain the weight. But, it can work if they learn to avoid junk food again and not go back to old eating patterns to deal with stress.
@crewlla aaaaah the easy way out!, well I have chosen to stop stuffing and start walking I lost more than 100 pounds in 10 months, no more junkfood and excersise I can be PROUD! no easy way out
thats fucking stupid! if its as small as a golf ball, and you can get A bite of a hamburger.... how the hell are you gonna get all your nutrients from food that you need!? besides golf ball is a little small. tennis ball would be more realistic.
It starts out the size of a golf ball and after about 6 months is the size of a tennis ball and stays that way. It is not a stupid sugery it saved my life and makes it possible for me to stay at a healthy weight for the rest of my life and not regain the weight. It is a tool that helps people.
Where's the next video in the series? Can't wait to see more!

Behavior modification and at least 10 days with The Master Cleanser Diet should help this guy get a good start.
