Before you people climb aboard the crazy train to pseudo-freedom land - remember how many cases that have guaranteed important rights to individuals which have been fought and won by individuals against their own state in the U.S. Supreme Court. The Federal Government (at least within the courts) oftentimes will be a better check on freedom than States will. Brandenberg v. Ohio comes to mind when I think of gun-toting republicans screaming about freedom from the feds.
Imagine what would happen if the State Legislatures could thumb their nose at congress? Chaos, the dissolution of the Union, the overthowing of the Constitution, cheaper corruption without a Fed to hold States accountable, the repression of women and any minority. The Federal Government (at least within the courts) oftentimes will be a better check on freedom than States will. Brandenberg v. That 2/3rd State repeal of Federal decisions is an excellent idea. You should probably make it as strong as possible, uncluding protections that the 2/3rd State repeal decision will stand for at least the next 20 years or something. You could combine it with that everyone in Congress and the president will automatically not be eligible for re-election if they voted in favor of what the states destroyed. @hausofjo315 Yeah, back in 2004 I was on a trip to Utah and went through security on the return trip. Myself and my cohort were both selected for what they called a random "Level 2" security check. We had to empty everything, do the cop spread and get the pat down. However, they didn't grab my sack. If they had grabbed my sack, I would most likely be in jail right now. So yeah, this has been going on for a long time, but they have stepped it up to hard core only recently.

Thats an incrediable idea by the Judge... checks and balances is one of the basis of the Constitution. 2/3 of the States can repeal any Federal law/regulation is the absolute check and balance that the people needs.
