  • are you a girl?

  • in my windows7 when i run dxdiag directdraw, direct3d, agp texture acceleration are not available what shoul i do to make it available...

  • Lol kids these days.

  • Dont know what the hype is over DX11. It does nothing for your eyes, unless your gaming, and gaming using dx11 games.... and not many do, and those that do are very disappointed. End of.

  • i have MSI GX630X laptop and i have the same vid card - geforce gt9600m. in dxdiag also says direct x11. just because windows 7 supports it my vid dont. there aren't many vid cards that supports dx11

  • i never knew i had dx 11 i thaught i had dx 9.0c but i have dx 11 FTW

  • i never knew I had DirectX 11 ....

    wow XD

    I though I had 10

    I have Ati 4670.

    is that supported?

  • @Aaron1046 only HD 5xxx and GTX 4xx supports DX11

  • I really think DX11 is just going to be another DX10.

  • Okay first of all you need 3 things to be running DX 11 fully..

    1) Windows 7

    2) Valid DX 11 GPU (Only ATI 5000 series has atm)

    3) A Valid DX 11 Program or game

He just showed you the first step..

    Go to google download GPU-Z

open it up, you will see "DirectX Support" next to it 9.0c or 10 or 10.1 or 11/SM3.1.. thats the second step wow your not there yet to be seeing DX11 get a valid DX11 game or benchmarking tool..

    Heaven or DiRT 2..

Activating Tessalation = DX11 no lies any more..

  • @ChrisHeavyMetal1 Wrong, vista also supports dx11.

  • @twistedgamez you're right..windows 7 shows only the sofware version of the directx...it will always be 11 since windows 7 has it for default... people that are saying that dx10 cards can run dx11 are wrong.i have one and trust me..you can have windows 7 or 8 and you will always have the same. its like windows that now have a lot of drivers installed but you will only use the ones for the hardware that you have connected or installed. i hope it helps people getting the right idea xD

  • i have it to:D

  • it seems like thare is alot of confusing.

dx 11 can be installed on dx 10 cards.

    WHEN IT IS RELISED.

its not relised yet. but whan it is you dont need to buy i ned card. dx 11 cards support 100% of dx 11.

dx 10 cards support most of the new fetures.

but thare will be some it cant use. so you will have some kind of mixed dx 10 / 11.

i dont know witch fetures it cant use.

i guess it is the improved multi-threading tecnology and shader model 5.

you will have tessellation for dx 10 cards for shure

  • lol are also confused, a dx 10 gpu cannot be compatible with dx 11 programs as the hardware is completely different, u cant change a dx 10 gpu to dx 11 through software upgrade, it just cannot be done.

Its like buying a car and putting a ferrari bodykit on it, it wont be a ferrari although it appears to be.

The only dx 11 gpus out at the moment are ATI's 5000 series and the upcoming new Nvidia line of cards

  • I hooked up an old GeForce 4 card, It still said DirectX 11! The card would probably have been lucky to get to half that!

  • u sound like a pussy hole omg fucking go through puberty and learn how to talk gay boi

  • I think he has a pretty good voice for a kid. Normally, I feel like punching kids when they talk to me bc of their voice but im not really feelin it this time.

  • hahaha

  • sorry but this is ipossibul as 9600gt doesnt runing dx11... i know becouse i have got 9600gt in my laptop .... windows 7 off cors can using dx11 but need for this graphic car who can using directx 11.... sorry for xxxx i am polisch and my language is so bed jet.

  • Dx10 cards run DX11 you don't need a new card.

  • Ya but they aren't optimized for it properly

  • buy GTX 300 or HD 5000 ->

hd 5000 is coming next month, gtx 300 next year

  • Lol Next month? HD5000+ has already been released.

  • I think the hard to believe thing is that he is using a DX10 card, the 9600GT. Its not even a DX10.1 card. Its surprising DX11 allows DX10 cards to run on it, but removes options it doesn't have.

I think you will see a much different game when using DX10.1 cards in a DX11 game since they have most of the components that DX11 supports.

  • great vid I wil sub you can you sub me back please!

  • whats a 1 year trail?

  • yes he can. as sone as dx 11 is relised.

go to microsoft homepage and read about it.

DX 11 IS compatible with dx 10 cards.

so you dont have to whate to get a Graphics card. buy one now if you want. and install the dx 11 whan it comes

  • is COMPATIBLE but not is the same dx11 cards can run dx10 only this noob

  • When did it come out?

  • Proof why would we need proof?

Im pretty sure evrryone new dx11 was to be included in win 7 last year sometime.

  • Mine Windows 7 build 7068

  • 1:12 CPU is 42 % ??? LOOOL !!!

  • Direct X 11 isn't "fully" supported by a DX10 graphic card, but there's still something a DX10 card can do in DX11...

  • Correct .. @ Video maker ..

That ur Windows 7 has DX11 doesent means ur Games are better now.. theres no DX11 Card out now so you cant see a big Difference ..

  • You Wont see any difference at all.

  • well .. not yet .. but at least when games are going to support DX11 .. then there will be a difference.

  • oh man, does that mean i have to upgrade my Nvidia GeForce 9800 GTX+ ?? i only just got it 2 months ago...

  • you don't have to

but thats why im holding back to upgrade my 9600gt, waiting for DX11

  • DX 11 is not supported by any current hardware. It will be available on Vista and Win 7.

  • Windows seven came out? when?

  • i have NV 7600 gt iand i have DX 11

  • ATI will be having DirectX 11 before Nvidia first of all. Second of all, you can't run DirectX 11 without a compatible card, you just have 9/10/10.1. DirectX 11 was designed to be backward compatible so thats why they're testing it out on the RC1s.

  • so wait can you download this now? i have windows 7 beta and im downloading directx 10. where do I download 11.

  • thats not true Dx 11 its almost in development and i dont think that MS will release it in a beta OS like win 7 and other important thing its that todya dosnt exist a videocard that supórt this tecnology

  • Can you speak louder ?! I can't hear ya.

  • Turn up the volume XD.

  • kinda glad that DirectX11 is compatible with Vista, but i'm not a big supporter of the new DirectX 11 because 1) they're doing things too quickly 2) they chose the worse time to release something when everyone is already building new rigs.

you won't see me shopping for DirectX 11 cards until another year or two. good job Microsoft, you did it again, and you got people pissed.

  • there are no dx11 cards yet kid

  • thare is. ALL dx 10 cards is compatible with dx 11. you will see dx 11 cards in the future. but its just becorse not to confuse customers. (customer that dont know that dx 11 can be used with dx 10 cards)

  • How the hell is one to make use of dx 11 if contemporary video cards are only dx 10 capable...?

  • you cant. :(

  • dx 11?:|

wtf i've just moved to dx 10 and now dx 11?

fuck you microsoft and your politics of marketing..

for dx 10 i moved on vista..

for dx 11 i'll move on Windows 7?

    this is lame..

    fuck you microsoft pigs..

  • DX11 is NOT Windows 7 exclusive

  • dx11 will work both on vista and win7, search in google for "Why we should get excited about DirectX 11" on blogs amd com

  • dont wory. dx 11 is vista and dx 10 card's compatible. microsoft ownes.

  • where do i download windows 7?

  • On Microsoft Website

  • You are all fucking retards around here, no offence but dx 11 is just what it says .... their is no dx11 hardware on the market for 1... 2 Nvidia Has no hardware software or anything to do with dx11 atm!!!

And the oficial release date is october 22nd go to the amd game site or win7 site and it clearly states this!

  • what about nvidia's GT300 due same time as Windows 7?

By the time a directx11 game is released, we're upto directx14.

  • Their are no official anything for nvidia atm lol,.... all we know is what you just said. GT300's will arrive fall this year, but they will NOT release with win7 dx11, Only ati cards will be released on opening date.

I dont know how i got negative props tho lol

Anyway, yeh haha your right, dx11 game's will take the piss to release, some company's still use dx9 for god sakes

Instead of everyone thinking they know and giving me negy props just go to either the amd or win7 site and look

  • Is Windows 7 Even Out

  • yeh the rc is out atm :)

  • october

  • Okay everybody! Pause the video at 0:47 and look at his DDI Version. It says DDI Version: 10. That means he actually has DirectX 10. It's like getting Windows Vista on a PC with a 7600 GT for example and in dxdiag it will say you have DX10 but if you go to display the DDI Version will say 9.

  • EXACTLY! Then, when the first DX11 supported cards come out, it will change. Thanks for the comment.

  • do a search for nvidia's gt300.

  • @techkid4473 my DDI Version says 10.1 - does that mean DirectX 11?

  • directx 11 will not be called directx 11 it will be called xdirect 3

  • directx 11 supports 6 series too, i got Geforce Gigabyte 6600 and i got directx 11 too

  • funniest comment ever, geforce 6 series can't even support D3D10, what makes you think it can support 11? just b/c you have the api and drivers installed for 11, doesn't mean you can use it. 6 series can only support up to DirectX 9c, 7 series is just a faster 6 series, and the 8, 9, 2xx, series support directx10 & 9 lolz

  • he probably thinks that because the operating system will support it..according to microsoft vista will have support for dx11.

  • Sorry, but it was confirmed DX11 was in development LONG before you posted this video.

  • You will need a new video card for Shader Model 5 and Hardware Tesellation, otherwise all DX 10 cards will support every other Feature in 11 at this point... There will of course be Direct X 11 hardware that will take advantage of Shader Model 5.0 and Hardware Tessellation however :)

  • Do you mean if i have a DX 10 card (Eg. 4870) and i install Windows 7, that i will have DX 11??

  • You will have Direct X 11 yes, Hardware tessellation and Shaer Model 5.0 will be disabled of course but you will have the features other than that. You could run it off a Direct X 9 card as well. This has been established already, They will use software for the features that are unable to be enabled with the hardware end..... (this is laggier way to do it but it lets more people use the API)

  • too bad there aint no games that support it....

    yet......

  • i read that 4870X2 and some other high end cards will run and use some of its technology to make games run faster like tesselation... im so relieved that i dont have to buy a new grphics card to get a big differnce. many graphic cards will have a better performance under dx11 :P

  • You will need a Directx 11 card to do tesselation, however since all Directx 10 cards have unified shaders, they will run the new Compute Shader.

  • yep ^^ some other improvements wont work though :(

  • What is Tesselation, and what do you mean by 'unified shaders'?

  • HAHAHA U KNOW NOTHING; U ARE A FUCING ASSHOLE!

"I think DX 11 supports GeForce 8 Cards"

    WHAAATT????

THE FIRST DX CARDS ARE RELEASED SUMMER 2009!!

U HAVE DX 11 ON YOUR COPMUTER; BUT YOUR VIDEOCARD JUST SUPPORTS DX10!!

HAHAHA, HOW CAN U BE THAT STUPID??ß

    MUAHAHAHA, ASSHOLE!

  • I KNEW THAT SHITHEAD!!! I never said I had DirectX 11 games or shit! I mainly stated that it was under DEVELOPMENT ShitforBrains!!!

    Think before you comment dumbfuck.

  • Your the idiot zp1pfl,

He is just saying it's backwards compatible he thinks you need at least a Geforce 8 series or equivalent for direct x 11 to be able to run.

A g.card being able to support DX 11 technology is not the same as a g.card just being able to run software on an OS with DX11 installed.

    BTW Techkid,

I thought it was going to support pretty much all dx9 cards and up? I read that at nforceHQ so I might be wrong.

  • Well, it depends. DirectX 9 cards weren't able to run DX10, but DX10 cards were able to emulate the DX9 settings. As of right Now, NVIDIA won't say ANYTHING about this and it's got me really pissed about it. i was the first one to discover this on YouTube, and I want to make a video once NVIDIA releases some more information so bad. =P

  • z1pfL you are a complete dumbass...

What he said was *not quoting* He thinks you have to have an 8800/higher series card to be backwards compatible or in layman's terms to be able to run an OS that is running DX11 you must on a card that can run DX10 Which I can't confirm nor deny although I know you wont be able to use those old 5500's you got in your gaming rig running DX8.1 playing duke nukem. Also does using caps lock supposed to show emotion or what? because all I see is a 6yr old whining

  • You don't have any DirectX11 content. Yes your PC has DirectX11 software installed but everything you see rendered by your GPU is DX10 or DX9. There are no public DX11 GPU's out yet.

  • but i have GeForce GTX 260 XD

  • i got the same card but

how can i give all my memory to it it use 1200mb but i wanne give it my other 900mb how can i give it ???? nice video :D

  • you got a hot Voice

  • Oh, and sorry. That was me. "pinnacleproductons2" was just my old account. XD

  • excellent... :) and good job with the video.. it rly shed light on this dx11 rumor

  • Oh no, I knew that, and If you use the HD preset in CS6 it provides an .mp4 HD file, which isn't recognized with YouTube's HD Rendering system. So basically, you have to make your own preset.

  • you a girl or boy?

  • boy

  • google the dell XPS M1710 .. it suports the

    7900 GS

    7900 GTX

    7950 GTX

google it =] .. and they have lap tops with 9 series cards in SLI

so idk what you googled =]

  • Well, whether you can find some or not, they should be able to have laptop versions of that.

    Check it out at notebookcheck(.)net

  • lol sorry kid .. but you got your info wrong .. yes windows 7 (SUPPORTS) DX-11 but your not using it on your computer .. your utilizing direct x 10 .. i have a 7900 GS in my lap top and im running build 7057 .. im utilizing DX-9 .. until you get a DX 11 graphics card you are not and can not use DX 11 .. im not trying to be an ass im just letting you know =] .. the way these OS and DX works =] .. i liked your vid doe =] ..

  • lol sorry bro... but you too seem to have your info wrong... yes his build of windows 7 is not utilizing dx 11, but you can run dx11 on dx10 cards. the only thing a dx11 card can do that a dx10 card cannot is a new feature called hardware tessellation. btdub the kid is a badass for knowing as much as he does for his age. so to the people insulting him for his age, get some new material and do something with ur lives like he has

  • im not insaulting him .. i do under stand that for him knowing what he knows at his age is amazing .. but please explain to me how DX 10 cards can run DX11 .. and DX 11 does a little more then just tessellation

  • From what I understand, you will actually have to get a new GPU. Sad, but true. I tried to explain it a little more in my "Everything you need to know 'bout DX11" video, but all o this is still really confusing. =S

  • Camtasia Studio 6. Download a free 30-day trial at techsmith(.)com

  • hey is there any possible solution to have direct 10 in asus en9600gt and to works

not only shows me that i have direct10 or d11..i hope you answer.

  • i have DX 9 and OpenGL

  • well i'm not shure how DX11 is build up but if it's anything like DX10 it would be backwards competable till... wel... about anything.

direct X 10 and such still has parts in it from the old direct X verions, which is why a direct X 9/8 card works on vista with DX10 and windows 7 with DX11.

the only problem is it doese not use all the effects that DX11 has to offer, a DX9 game will work fine on a DX10 game... just dont expect it to actualy run in DX10

  • last DX9 game should be DX9 card... damn i miss edit buttons T.T

  • that true i cant believed but its true ihave it too sorry for my english

  • fuking girl. bla bla bla drivers. Grow some balls and smoke a sigar!

  • Thanks! I bet you don't sound half-bad yourself!

  • Alright People listen up. DO NOT POST COMMENTS SAYING I SOUND LIKE A GIRL. The Drivers for my Microphone were screwing up. THey Still haven't been fixed. Why do you think the volume is so low? Don't belive me? Watch any of my other videos and you'll see.

Any more comments like that will be deleted.

  • Its not yet fully developed yet is it? God......... dude this is gonna rape osx and overpriced apple at the same time! And they said vista was over priced. Apple can shut the fuck up when it comes to trying to be cheaper. Pc dominates.

  • buy a new micro

  • What do you mean new micro?

  • microphone volume sounds very low

  • lol that was my fault... It was the last time I used WMM ever again. I use different stuff now, but other than that my mic is EXTREMELY clear.

  • I see... I wish I can install Win 7 on my pc but it's only 512MB of RAM :S

  • it'll work!!! Windows 7 is NOT THE HOG VISTA WAS. A 512mb machine can run it EASILY. Try it! You'll love it even with 512mb!

  • idk cuz it said min ram 1 gb ummm well i will try the shit lol

  • do u have problems in gta iv when you see black lines all over the place because i can see that and i play other games like far cry and flight simulator and i dont see them there

  • love the voice heh lol

  • Sarcastic or Serious?

People call me a girl cuz my voice -__-

  • wtf u aren't a girl?

  • -_-

  • What? :S

  • The "wtf u aren't a girl?" lol

  • Oh cuz ur voice in this vid sound girly :S and was the first vid i saw so I tought u was a girl but I saw other and didn't sound the same

  • Crazy video memory, 2.2GB!!

    Salu2

  • W00T Awesome gamelay for a LAPTOP huh?!?!

  • techkid4473, great vid but ur wrong. Do ur research, Geforce 8 series card don't even support DirectX 10, in fact the whole GTX200 architecture doesn't support it as Nvidia wants to take a leap or jump from 9 to 11, that's why only currently the HD 4XXX series support DirectX 10.1 which is the latest API, there's no way u can test DirectX 11 rite now coz no games support it, let alone a single game supports DirectX 10 other than Assasin's Creed. No hardware supports DirectX 11 currently either.

  • MicroSoft announced to NVIDIA the development of DirectX 11. NVIDIA has begun working and developing "prototype" cards for DX11, though DX11 isn't even finished.

NVIDIA and ATI should announce the compatibility in a press conference soon.

  • yup exactly so my point is, u can't benchmark or do any tests coz the current gfx cards just don't support it, and no games or any benchmark apps can support it rite now.......so ya.....how can u test it? It just shows u haf DirectX 11, but that's it.

  • Umm.... I got Windows 7. I run dxDiag and it says I have directX 11. I play game called Counter-strike:Source

it says DirectX 9.0c something like that. :-/

  • Right, because Counter Strike: Source only uses DX9, not DX10 or DX11. Currently no games support DX11, we just know it is being developed and will be part of Windows Gaming future.

  • lol r u ok in the head? CS:S came out years ago, DirectX 10 wasn't even out at the time, so u expect that the game to support DirectX 10??

  • No.... I just tought that its fake DirectX 11 :-D

  • defeinitely works with the nvidia 8 series, i got the 8800, works great!

  • r u sure? Or maybe u can't tell the difference. 8800 doesn't even support directx 10, in fact the 9800GTX+ doesn't even support it coz i have it, and i'm sure the GTX series don't support DirectX 10 either, or at least not DirectX 10.1, currently no gfx cards support DirectX 11, the only cards that support the latest API which is DirectX 10.1 are the ATI HD 48XX series.

And btw, no game other than Assassin's Creed supports DirectX 10, so u can't even test it anyway.......

  • lol are you retarded? the 8 and 9 series both support dx10.

I own a 8800gts 320mb edition, since launch and im running direct x 11 just fine and using crysis on dx11 settings. and dx10.1 is completely useless, dx10 is also useless and slow compared to dx9, with many of its effects able to be renedered in dx9 (such as with crysis, where dx10 configs could be imported into dx9)

the 8 and 9 and 2 series (nvidia) DEFINITELY support it and so do the ati 2xxx and 3 and 4xxx series.

  • ok my bad i meant the 8 & 9 series don't support DirectX 10.1 which is the latest API currently, so my point being that Nvidia DEFINATELY HAVE NOT released a card that supports DirectX 11 since they've already decided to skip from 10 to 11 straight away, i.e missing the 10.1 gap. And also, Crysis doesn't support DX11 settings, ur wrong.

My point being, no way u can test DirectX 11, no benchmark games or apps are released for it and no hardware actually utilizes DirectX 11 yet.

  • nonono, im not saying crysis uses dx11 settings (my bad) im saying that im able to run it on dx11. my 8800gts in dxdiag shows that its running dx11.

just because dx11 is newer doesn't necessarily mean that its not going to work with older cards. Even if the hardware doesn't utilize dx11, it can still use it instead of dx10. dx10.1 is just a version of dx10 with a few new features, nothing special.

  • ya i know wot u mean, but my whole point this whole time is regarding to this video, u can't test the features or benchmark it, sure DirectX 11 is build upon DirectX 10, in fact people say it's the TRUE DirectX 10, so it's not rly an upgrade at all, but rather what was expected when it came out. So ya of course u can run Crysis even though u haf DirectX 11, but u won't be able to use its actual features, it's gonna take maybe another 2 years until hardware or games support it.

  • also, games such as crysis and farcry 2 have full support for dx10, assasins creed isn't alone.

  • yes that's true, I forgot about Crysis, but my point is, not many games support DirectX 10

  • because its kinda useless. are you a ATi fanboy?

  • ya it is useless but updates are mostly good or important, that's y they're called "updates", ya'know? 10.1 improves on quite a lot of things if u wanna go technical on this, i know it's shit but a lot of ppl including me lyk DirectX 10 over 9, and 10.1 is just a nice update to haf so why not?

Ya i'm an ATI fan boy, but i also own a GTX 295 x2 so i'm currently leaning towards Nvidia.

  • yeah, but i don't understand why people like dx10 better.

Here's an example: crysis warhead is a DX10game. In dx 10, you can use the enthusiast settings. in DX9 you can aswell, but with better framerates.

Few games support dx10, but many cards do. few cards support dx 10.1 and even fewer games.

  • well to put it simply, some ppl just lyk DirectX 10 better coz it looks more realistic, such as the smoke or moving water compared to DirectX 9 on maxed setting. It's just personal taste and i lyk DirectX 10 better coz of its features, after all it is a jump from 9. Well, DirectX 11 seems promising so let's hope it's really good.

  • agreed.

  • 'Scuse me, techkid, but have you run any benchmarks to compare the performance with XP or Vista? I realize that nothing will take advantage of DX11 at this point, but I had heard there were other performance enhancements within the OS itself.

  • Oh, Definetly!!! Windows7 takes ADVANTAGE of its resources and is extremely light-weight. I'm happily looking forward to Windows's future.

BOTTOMLINE: ITS NOT A HOG LIKE VISTA =D

  • Thank you, I can't wait to see how my games will perform. :)

  • No prob! I'm gonna see how Windows XP compares to it though. I just partitioned my test PC and just gotta get a copy of XP. Then Triple-boot and compare

  • If you want a legal beta of windows 7, it's to late.

  • I have a fileplanet account and the beta is still up there for download, legal too.

  • can you show me how you can download windows 7 and how you can do it?

  • dx 11 cards arent out.....or will this work on dx 10 and 10.1?

  • heh I `ve gto DirectX 10

how to update to DirectX11 ?

  • You can't "Update" to DirectX11. We all have to wait and see if it will come in Vista Service Packs in the Future.

  • the geforce 8 cards can't support direct x 11... why would you even post a video of this? there is no card out right now that support dx11.

  • The purpose was to PROVE DX11 existed and was going to be further developed.

  • but no one denied it didn't exist....

  • Lemme rephrase that. the purpose was to INFORM and PROVE. There we go. I was actually one of the first to find out on YouTube.

    KeyWord: ONE of the FIRST

  • Makes sense.

  • hmm no offense but you sound like a girl

  • I get that alot... -.-

  • I think you did mean offense, otherwise you wouldn't have said that.

  • just telling the truth o_O i wasnt trying to be mean

  • techkid4473,

how does yor computer do on crysis???

    please write me

  • Ah, right on time! I was just playing it on Windows 7! lol.

It runs perfect. My latop has A NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT and 4 GB RAM running Windows 7 64-bit.

It runs on Very High at about 10-20 fps but on a 1280x720 res.

However, I am yet to go into SandBox and see if it is using DX11 or if it's still using is default DX10. The reason I say this is because when minimized it says: -Crysis DX10-. So lemme find that out and I'll message you back. =D

  • my laptop is somewhat as good as yours concerning crysis runs :p but I run vista and...yea it kinda sucks a bit more then 7:(

Im not so sure DX11 will solve any frame loss issues though

  • dx 11 gonna be on vista too.

  • great another directx

  • uh techkid if u download the latest vista drivers from nvidia it recognisez windows 7.

I know this because befor installation of the upgrade in the legal document page i accidentally saw windows 7 documentation instead of vistas.
