  • Really, it's also just fun hearing their pristine synchronicity. Cause it's just..ridiculous.

  • EVERYTHINGS FINE

  • YOU FUCKING ROCK SQUIRE

That is it isn't it. x

  • i do this every morning before breakfast bitches

  • 1:12 was the only part I actually liked to be honest

  • @HardcoreRunescaping yea the rest all sounds like random ass riffage....

  • NOBODY GIVES A FUCK IF YOU DON'T LIKE DILLINGER!

  • beard fail.

  • Superb.

  • oh now i get it!

  • for all the haters.....this music takes more skill than what you usually hear on pop music stations. just because it's not one key and doesn't have the cheesiest melodies in the world, doesn't make it bad. it's called progressive because it is.....just that.

  • if he made a mistake in the song no one would have any idea, it would just sound the same

  • @PornForTheSoul

LMFAO exactly, I could just play random shit if I forget a part.

  • @PornForTheSoul

    lol no it wouldnt

  • @PornForTheSoul Don't you guys recognize any melody in this song or what?

  • @Druzinski I'm sure they'll learn what a time signature is...some day...

  • Comment removed

  • @PornForTheSoul 0:39, left screen, that was a mistake, I noticed, your argument was invalid. The rest of the songs is played as-near-as-makes-no-difference perfectly though, super awesome job.

  • @PornForTheSoul False. He did a great job covering it but there are definitely a few mistakes and timing is a bit off in spots. Just cause it's not your thing, you don't have to diss it. It's very complex, precise music and they perform it while jumping off of shit and running around.

  • @Law0fRevenge A7x's last decent album was ST7T. As soon as Syn (who sucks) joined the band and Shadows started to sing more, the band started sucking.

  • calculating infinity A+

    Psyopus what?

  • what the fuck is this shit?

  • AWEESOMEE

  • fantastic job! absolutely flawless.

  • @dephiled Well except for the beginning, but he knew it by the expression on his face. Otherwise it's pretty awesome.

  • to prog for me, but it's very interesting

  • que asco, que verguenza, 43% burnt a una velocidad ochenta veces mas baja que el original

tiren este video del you tube

  • @cybergrind gracias! Es muy bueno saber de una fan!

  • Wow, this guy has great technique and feeling, I'm so gonna steal his powers!

  • You think this is weird or chaotic? Then you should probably listen to Psyopus (which is an awesome band) :)

  • @tehpeasant

Try Orthrelm or Noism. The pinnacle of mind numbing technicality.

  • this is fucking ridiculous. great job dude. this sounds almost identical to the album version.

  • It's young Lincoln!

  • "I know more about music than you will ever know in your entire life."

    -Typical Dillinger fan.

Maybe I could listen to their stuff: too bad I loathe their fanbase.

  • @Chalzfoed True, true.

  • @Chalzfoed @Trollscience1 Thats why you listen to the music, not the fans.

  • @Chalzfoed yes because dillinger escape plan is the only thing in the world with bad fans

  • right on

  • Nice beard man.

  • i went from tosins jam play interview to this? :(

  • @SOAD525 your in a whole new world buddy ;D

    tosin is badass too tho

  • @TheDallyLama a hole new world would be like justin beiber. this is metal. same atom but different sub level

  • Lol. Dude says "closed minded ideals," what a hipster thing to say.

Shit, and I can tolerate Psyopus at times too.

  • trippppppppiiiiiiiingggg baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaalllllllsss...............................

  • boooooo. sounds like me when i was 12 learning how to play. not so much this dude, but the song in general.

  • fucking awesome

  • Painful to listen. Total shit

  • @cipqer no clue

  • @cipqer true, it is painful to listen. that's exactly the emotion to invoke while writing this music. not to mention there's a method to the madness and that's what makes it genius.

  • Comment removed

  • @WGSen fuck it, anything is better than listening to Avenged Sevenfold or Asking Alexandra

  • @ArseLoad0fMetal666 avenged sevenfold are actually pretty talented. you should listen to some of their albums because they all sound different. its sad that so many guys hate them just because they have so many girl-fans (girl-fans always ruin the bands).

  • @cipqer GO back to Justin Bieber.

  • @261290 Yeah, sure. Better than this bullshit at least.

  • @cipqer pussy

  • I love at 0:40 seconds, he's shakes his head because he messed up. This is an amazing video, though. This song, even this album are one of the greatest examples of technical music

  • Music for musicians. :)

Lol @ all who say "Oooh this doesn't sound nice! This is not music! Ooh!"

  • fckin raw

  • fuckin raw

  • I don't understand why people have to talk shit about this. Dillinger has changed alot, from their noisy, mathy roots to groovy, mathy material. I love all of it, and people need to get their heads out of their asses. At least they're not playing "creative" rhythms on the low E for a whole song.

  • This really confuses me why did a jamplay version of a dillenger song :')

  • This is so fucking good, dude.

  • @barneycockburn The entire point of the album this song was on was to create an intense, stressful and chaotic album. Especially if you listen to their post-first album work, you will being to hear the geniuses these guys are. Either way, I still find this album amazing, but I hated it at first. It really takes a kind of acquired taste. I started with Tool, then Meshuggah, then this. Look at some stuff like Widower, Highway Robbery, Unretrofied, Calculating Infinity, and *#..

  • @Omnibus97 TOOOL!!! MESHUGGAH!! XD

  • @Omnibus97 Can't forget Setting Fire To Sleeping Giants.

  • @Omnibus97 hahaha I worked myself from Tool, DEP, and then Meshuggah lol

  • @Omnibus97 Tool, Meshuggah, DEP. next step is fear before the march of flames, (Art Damage)

  • I'm totally cool with someone not liking this song. But FFS at least listen to the damn song. This is a vocal-less track with multiple slips on guitar (great cover btw), but damn... listen to the actual song before you decide you hate it haha.

  • so hot peace

  • Nice cover, but partly ennerving guitar sound

  • So many dislikes... the dude nailed it! So confused :S

  • I know I've been drinking........but i see two of you.

  • Very good!

  • WELL DONE

  • This is realllly bad noise to me personally. Sorry if you disagree, I just don't see how anyone could like this. Being technical doesn't make it good

  • @barneycockburn That's why we like it.

  • @barneycockburn In your opinion. Your favorite guitarist probably couldn't keep up with Dillinger though.

  • @Deadpool615 I think Jeff Loomis could hang! Haha but this guy is pretty damn good, just not my cup of tea

  • @barneycockburn It gives some people a release for they're anger.. It's very difficult to describe but i do understand how you feel.

  • Great Job!

  • It's great....but you played it a bit too much like a recital, brah. It was a little too precise. But still, good job!

  • @ShinjiIII Too precise? What are you talking about dude? Technical guitar like this is supposed to be precise.

  • I don't know what I liked better, the melody or the transitions. lol

  • I can't understand how people can listen to this, technical or not, it sounds horrible

  • by that logic you also care alot....comments are meant for commenting.

    hi

    people

    say

    hello

  • That is just awesome!

  • I know theyre going for 'technical' music, but this isnt technical like prog metal or technical speedwise or anything. It sounds like a big mess.

  • @Direksone complex timing signatures written with math. its not a mess, there is a pattern there. it's brilliant in my mind

  • @papercuts989 There is a pattern, yes, but it sounds like a mess to me. A hero of mine Max Cavalera is making an album with their singer so I wanted to see what they're all about, and I am not fond of it.

  • @Direksone a big beautiful mess, you just dont understand it with your close minded ideals....its ok

    good music isnt for everyone.

  • @IAMinDreams hahaha that's such bullshit. You don't even know who you are talking to and how I think about things. I simply don't like this, is that so bad? You like it, I don't. Done. Grow up.

  • @Direksone i honestly dont give a shit if you like them or not kid.

no bullshit here...just your faggot ass

  • @IAMinDreams call me a kid and then go on and cuss like a 12 year old adolescent? You truely have some growing up to do. If you truely didn't care, you wouldn't even take the time to comment. It would seem you do care. And a lot.

  • @IAMinDreams haha nice XD

personally I wouldn't call dillinger "music". not in the conventional sense anyway. it's pure complexity, aggression, manic stop-start sound. metal in the most no-holds-barred, no-bullshit way possible.

    pretty fucking cool

  • @PoisonTester who says music has to be conventional? within musical context this literally is music.

whether you think it is or not. it is very cool

  • @IAMinDreams i understand that the dissonance comes from simple minded ideas like semitone harmonies, and tritones, unlike dissonance that comes from such bands as execute the sinner, which is jazz influenced

  • @Highspeedpotato thats cool, im not sure anybody was typing to you..cool nonetheless

  • Great!!

  • Wow what crappy, ugly "music"

  • @barneycockburn if you're too ignorant to understand it, or you got nothing nice to say about it, go listen to some katy perry or something

  • I can't say I liked it too much. I respect the song's technicality though.

  • a love math progressive metal.. but this totaly sucks.. the most shity instrumental song what i ever heard

  • its weird seeing this song played so calmly

  • I'm all for "outside" sounding stuff but god damn what a shitty choice of notes. I dunno how in god's name people love this song.

  • @indierokkers

"Shitty choice of notes"? Do you understand how they are choosing the notes, or what sound they were after here? They chose these notes so they could get exactly the sound you're hearing. If you want something a little tamer try listening to the most recent album Option Paralysis, namely Farewell Mona Lisa, Gold Teeth on a Bum and Widower :)

  • @MrWiggerdale123 You don't make any sense. I'm no expert but it sounds diminished to me. I listen to all kinds of metal, many bands I enjoy use tritones, whole tones, augmented, and diminished tones. I was merely saying that they way Dillinger Escape chose to utilize these tones in this particular song was not as appealing as other bands I have heard. Please think before you type : D

  • @indierokkers

    You're right, you're no expert.

  • @MrWiggerdale123 Like you know what the fuck you're talking about. Get a life scum fuck.

  • the distortion is ok but it sounds bad cuz the volume is kinda low. but it has to be so it doesn't overpower the drums in the background from the original track, hello? this was a nice cover.

  • damn this guy is pretty good. and he looks like a gypsy son, but damn good ear lol

  • i. love. this.

  • i. dont. like. this.

  • When I here this type of music the first thing I ask myself is, "Will I/they/he/she remember this 10 years from now and will I/they/he/she be able physically and mentally to play/listen to it?"

DOES THIS TYPE OF MUSIC PASS THE TEST OF TIME?

  • @billyrichardson2 you'll be surprised hahaha

People who say this are getting old

  • @billyrichardson2 clearly it does since they have been around for like 15 years and have made a solid career making their music

  • @DillonMcCarthy23....................2shay

  • I had no idea Honest Abe could shred d.e.p style, fresh!!

  • I know what mathcore is, im not ROLLING, and yea this stuff is still funny to me

  • he should play some cephalic carnage stuff !

  • This isnt music its just funny

  • @dopefiend138 PLEASE tell me you're trolling...

  • @joshTHFRO What does that have to do with what he said?

  • @PresidentChiefer He said that The Dillinger Escape Plan isn't music......Obviously he doesn't realize what mathcore is.

  • @joshTHFRO yeah but someone who is trolling deffinitly knows what music is. You're referring to ectasy right?

  • @joshTHFRO When someone is under the influence of ectasy pills, it is known to say they are "Rolling" Some people call it "trolling" to give it more secretiveness. I thought thats what you were talking about.

  • @joshTHFRO HUH? are you trolling are just a nazi when it comes to other peoples taste in music?

  • @dopefiend138 No, I don't mind that you don't like it, but you're an idiot for saying it's not music just because you don't like it...

  • @joshTHFRO cool story bro. i just cant take this seriously. from the way the guy plays he dosent either

  • Fripp from hell

  • People who hate on this don't know shit about real musical talent.

  • this guy has the talent of composing music that badly suck!!

  • @komonology He didn't write it, The Dillinger Escape Plan did.

  • so awesome.

  • this is soooooo bad.... someone shoot that mormon NOW!

  • @littletingoddess96 He's a mormon? You mean you can tell people's religions just by listening to them play guitar? THAT'S AMAZING!

  • @THEREALMOSH2 he just looks like one dude. search amish or mormons or something. they have big beards like that too.

  • this is soooooo bad

  • Tighter than virgin cooch and a nun's ass.

  • I can't believe people actually call shit like this music or talent. Sounds like a power drill having a seizure while banging a rusty table saw.

  • @dangnola69 Thats the idea

  • @dangnola69 let's see. there's obviously a form to it, arrangement, repetition, people actually like it, and it takes skill to play.

music. it's not just what YOU like.

  • @viper1991 Any form of Classical music actually TAKES skill to be played, idiot.

  • @Shyuum disagree. it takes skill to COMPOSE classical. all it takes to play classical is asian parents. i have em, i know.

  • @doubleuarex Epic win

  • @doubleuarex

It doesn't take much skill to compose classical. Throw in a couple circle of 5th progressions, secondary dominants, modulations, and V7's and you have a classical song. This stuff at least makes you think outside the box rhythmically and melodically.

  • Comment removed

  • @nlo13 I guess after six semesters of studying counterpoint, traditional harmony, and music history from an analytical perspective, it's pretty scary to me. This kind of stuff is what I play to relieve the stress of the rest of school. I compose classical, jazz, fusion, metal, pop, country, and I play all of that too. And I have to for school. So either way, thanks for the compliment.

  • @nlo13That's a very ignorant view of classical music. Especially if you're considering "classical" to be all periods. First, if you listen to anything from the romantic or contemporary period, emphasis on contemporary, you'd eat your words. Besides, your formula is sufficient to make a classical period piece, but the real trick is being able to take something so regular, aka V7s, IV-I cadences, and make it interesting. Just because it's regulated doesn't mean it's not interesting to listen to.

  • @nlo13 having said that, I would agree that writing music like this is a completely different skill. And is one that I too prefer.

  • Comment removed

  • shaggy can play guitar :D

  • I guess you guys just don't get it. Ignorance is fine, whatever. Just don't go posting and rating based on your stupidity.

  • wtf is this. if he didn't have to record himself twice to play this i'd think it was random

  • well that's ONE way of playing with yourself...

  • harry potter with a beard is 100x the guitar player I'll ever be.

  • Shockingly bad.

  • Im a new dillinger escape fan after seeing them with deftones on june 1st with deftones. So far they are fucking awesome.

  • man don't you just hate a shitty distortion tone....

  • @Sloppysquirly its not that bad tbh... he has the gain lower than most people... its pretty pro tbh :L but i will agree it isnt exactly top notch

  • I think i just threw up a little.

  • THIS IS PURE GENIUS!!

  • just my opinion, but i think this sucks, please Dont feel you need to defend DEP. i think a lot of you are just blinded by the fact that you're loyal to the band, you do know that bands make shitty songs sometimes right? if this wasnt DEP im sure you all wouldnt be so impressed by it, iits ok to admit your fav band wrote some garbage. its not a blow to your ego

  • @iamajoo Before I was a fan of DEP, I thought this song was amazing, on a technical level. Like it or not, it's incredible as far as the technical aspects of it go. I'd like it if it wasn't DEP. With that said, I completely understand not liking DEP, they're a bit hard to get into initially, at least for me.

  • @Slivarito I do agree with you, it is technical as fuck and im sure its hard as hell to play, I really enjoy DEP and their "clusterfuck" approach to music. I dont like this song, but i do appreciate it for what it is.

  • @iamajoo this song was the reason i got into DEP you fucking moron

  • @iamajoo You should probably read the first 3 words of your post.

  • so many haters! i liked it and i dare you to top it!

  • on regards to his shitty tone, it prolly doesn't help that he's playing a schecter. Beautiful guitars, but with stock pups in it... :/

  • seriously?? lol! i quit on guitar! thanks!! lol!

  • I don't mind DEP...but seriously, this guy's tone is crap.

  • It's kinda like metal free jazz.

  • sorry... but this sucks ^^

  • @MetalSweden Nope. Your wrong. It does not suck. Your opinion on the other hand, does.

  • @ChimpFromSpace and you like this sound?? :D :D :D bedauernswert.....

  • It's called The Dillinger Escape Plan, you fool! MATHCORE IN YO FACE!!!

  • That sweep is so fucking hard

  • @Patience5840 Seriously. Septuplets!? Fuck you.
