Yes, the Creative Vado HD exports in the .avi video format.

SD? Meaning standard definition? I think you mean VGA - 640x480.

@sanferdanio Same thing! Creative names it as "SD", but your right with the resolution 640x480, I know that is VGA, but Creative names it as "SD"

I have that exact Sony Handycam that's at 0:30 !

I use it to record my videos and it works fine! No need to upgrade!

Creative has recently released the 3rd Gen Vado HD which has a shinny cover

@davinp And many other things than a new look and feel! It takes photos as well as video, has manual exposure control, is Mac & PC compatible right out of the box, has an excellent on-board mic, as well as an external mic option (also doubles as a headphone jack for personal playback), and lots of other great features.

meh.. i bought a flip ultra hd over the summer and yes i admit it had better quality than my old "clunky cam" but the problem was the zoom range was horrible (2x) I would perfer a clunky one. I returned the ultra hd and im going to buy a clunky cam that supports 1080 resolution opposed to 720
