i would take a tube. cut a piece of. then cut it at the seam, roll it open. flaten it. and then take your tool. to make a washer. make it a piece of tube again. then you coult draw that to a longer tube. cut a piece of...
@sultryaz The disc cutter will cut the Niobium and Titanium, There will be more wear on the cutters than normal. As for forming the washer. It be a little tricky. The niobium will form easier than the Titanium but neither metal can be easily annealed. They have to be annealed in a vacuum under an inert atmosphere.
excited to try this, but disc cutters are expensive... is there a really big difference ebtween this 300 dollar disc cutter and the 60 dollar ones elsewhere?
@leftysoftball17 Sadly no there is not. The basic rule of thumb though is, The larger the washer the larger the ring. This technique of making rings takes a lot of experimenting to find just the right combination of diameters and thickness. The thickness of the metal plays a roll too. So try getting some copper, in the same thickness as the ring you want to make, and do some experimenting. Be sure to right down each step and that will make the process go faster.

We recommend using 18-gauge metal.

Thank you for the size chart at the end of this video. Do you have a chart for larger ring sizes?
