  • What can be said: Long live great Paul!

  • god he's sexy. i love the sex noises he does. haha. and uh... this is a really really good song. for ten whole months... can't get enough of him.

  • GENIUS!!!

  • amo esta cancion cuando la canto en el concierto de la ciudad de mexico el 28 de mayo 2010 no podia cantar de la emosion y de la voz tan chillona que tenia de verlo por primera vez LO AMO ES MI TODO!!!!!!!!

  • wow genious, sexy, and sweet.... he's wonderful and my favourite artist of all time. he amazed me in so many ways. and i like it when he does those sex noises in the end. this song is way beyond great. just like him.

  • cocaine

  • It's a shame John kinda gave up. Even late in the Beatles stuff. I think mid-era Beatle John Lennon was probably their very best - Ticket To Ride era. But Paul and George were the writing the best Beatles stuff later, and solo careers as well.

  • @PFB1994 I have to disagree. There was a lot in the early stuff that Paul made that I didn't care for, really, that goes for all of the Beatles. Later Beatles (Rubber Soul and later) Paul and George were the biggest influences in the band and that's why it was there best music, despite what the radio tells us.

I guess I might not be disagreeing that much. Maybe the drugs mixed with Paul and George better than they did with John.

  • @MacktheFilet It's actually nice to hear that other people agree with me about Paul and George. When I discuss The Beatles with people, I'll say that the reason they succeeded for so long was the stellar work by Paul and George. Near the end, I feel that John was a lesser force. He sort of peaked during Magical Mystery Tour, which was his tour de force. He translated acid into music way better than Paul or George. But during the halcyon days of 68-70, Paul and George carried the torch.

  • I love his voice in this song..he sounds like a black singer

  • his love

  • SOOOOOOO GOOD!

  • What's that instrument at the end? I've heard it was a sax, but no sax can play that high...hmmmm...

  • @TheRyukMan Synthesizer. Expensive synthesizers can mock an orchestra very well, I believe that is what Wings was using (other than the actual horn players in the band, or at least in addition to).

  • LOVE the piano part at the begining.

    LOVE the whole song

    paul <333

  • Love ya Paul, fantastic album, stuff the Lennon McCartney comparisons, they were the loves of each other's lives and with great love comes great pain :')

  • Paul is sooo cute... and soo crazy!!! :D haha Gotta love him!! <3

  • Awesome skills!

  • LOVE IT!!!

  • Ever since I first heard this song I wanted to see Paul's facial expressions when he sang it, thank you so much for sharing this!

  • i can remember when this came out just loved the piano on it back then.wish i could get this in better quality

  • You have no clue. "Band on the Run is a great album due to Paul's songwriting." That is a quote from John Lennon. I don't want to get into a John vs. Paul pizzing match because I love them both but it's a fact that Paul wrote most of the Beatles hits on the last few Beatles albums and that he had a MUCH more successful solo career. George had a better solo career than John IMO. Yes the MJ duets were lame but that doesn't take away from all the great music Paul has made over the years.

  • You can't argue with idiots like this. Paul did write most of the Beatles hits in the last years and his solo songs were most certainly his own, John had nothing to do with them, even the ones written while they were still in the Beatles.

  • @rodneyracoon this is a fucken awesome tune brings back memories

  • @rodneyracoon Band on the Run is a great album because Paul was under pressure since his band quit on him right before they left for Africa. If Sir Paul feels competition (aka Lennon, band quitting) he rises to the occasion. Otherwise it's give my regards to Broadstreet.

  • PAULIE

  • esta canción es espectacular. ¿qué les pasa?. paul mccartney se luce aquí como un fantástico compositor. maravillosa interpretación. una canción de otro planeta. great song, paul is a monster of the world music. superb!!!!!!!!!!!.

  • what a fuckin toon

  • Awesome!

    xoxo

    The Clarences

  • I wore this out on my record player at home when it first came out and I still play it....everybody that hears it always starts jammin at the mid section of open funk 2 get down 2!...no matter who they are!...What a great song that will last 4 ever and ever!!

  • What the hell is wrong with you?

  • you are a fucktard, his behavior at the end of this video is the epitome of his awesomeness. no one else but paul can pull of such amazingness.

  • thick fucking sheep? you are a dicksucking faggot. you're the one dissing on a man who is simply enjoying his own song and dancing to it, how does that make him a cunt? you fucking moron... learn an instrument and have some fun, maybe you'll see life isn't as shitty as you think it is.

  • @dabrixtonbomba hes not a cunt! hes Paul and hes an amazingly talented artist. and hes "behavior" doesn't show anything other than him doing a dance. its a good song and hes a good person.

  • No one has soul like Paul,

    PLASTIC SOUL MAN! Plastic soul

  • se ve lindo cuando fuma

he looks handsome when hes smoking

    paul you are my GOD

  • ever since MR SCOTT MUNIE FROM 102.7 FM IN NY played this song, ive been searching for this. its been a good 5 years but, then i heard it on satl. radio and i had to look it up. omg omg omg what a great song! doesnt sound like beatle of old but sounds like a great pink floyd song. the ending music and guitars are just awsome!!!! thankyou for putting this up on you tube! my gratitude to you my man!

  • One of my fav Macca songs. I love his work on the piano on this little gem. Very funky playin'

  • At 3:59-4:04 I adore his expressions!!!!!!

  • Does he sort of morph into Beatle John for a second, or is it just me? 2:35

  • Just you. :) Ain't nothing "Johnish" about this at all.

  • @GizziesGirl2 It's actually 2:38 where his face looks like John circa 1964 for a moment. Nothing Johnish about the music or anything else but the expression of his face at that moment.

  • LOL Yeah I guess it kinda does. Guess they rubbed off on each other. :)

  • smokin a pinner at 2:07. Good for him

  • 2 fat men in a small alley

  • @36Rza huh?

  • Paul, was very careful as to how far to push certain genres of Music He,can play it all -This piece has a great funk /Jazz feel and is great to play piano to / but to also sing it ? way cool for 1976, and it all holds up ...what about ,2012, Peace....

  • you are amazing paul. i love when he goes outside his usual tone.

  • This Macca song is just fantastic. I LOOOOOOOOVEEEEEEE the song so much, 5 stars from me, it deserves 50

  • so amazing

    he sound wonderful

  • She may be right, she may be fine, she might get love but she won't get mine coz i got you...

    What a fuckin lyric!

  • intense!

  • Nobody does it better..

  • whoooaa i love this shit.

  • 2:07 is a pot??? what you smok paul???

  • I think so... well, he's a regular pot smoker

  • i do believe that is a joint he is smoking :D

  • The man is timeless

  • you rock my world master, not michael jackson

  • I remember thinking that 1985 was year and years away and yet, even the reference in this song relates to nearly 25 years ago!! Sheeeeeit, old age has crept up on me, BUT I'm so glad i got to listen to this sweet stuff when it was real!

  • What's Paul smoking at 2:08?

It's giving him a raspy voice for a raspy song. xD

Thanks for sharing, this is smokin !

    5/5

  • Simply, a genius

  • A very good version of this song by Paul the master!

  • Paaaaaaaaaaul.

    <3

  • ohh my GOD he is amazing and handsome, he is the best singer, because he has too many styles of music

  • MAGIK SONG

  • I love this song a lot

  • 3:00 onwards is epic

  • wot a stupid twat

  • 3:00 !!

  • 03:00

  • What are you talking about? he's a great performer.

    Fuck off.

  • when you love the beatles it becomes all good. he was just having a little fun and those of us that love the beatles love they crazy and fun way that they behave. and this is my fav. mccartney song. wings.. also try listening to the woeds and song called medicine jar. another great one but not by mccartney. but by wings

  • Is that to me? I was saying he was a great performer too. I'm r8 confused.

  • You did it on a different account?

Sort myself out? What would you say a good performer is then, what music do you listen to? Paul McCartney knows how to perform... he was in the Beatles for fuck sake! So you're saying a performer should be boring, not move, don't improvise, have no energy? That's what you're saying is shit about this performance.

    Sort yourself out man.

  • Ringo Starr was in The Beatles too, your point is? I'm saying a performer shouldn't act like a total cunt.

  • He's not acting like a cunt, he's performing and really getting into the music.

And Ringo Starr was a revolutionary drummer... and is still a good musician today, your point is?

I read it as How can you seriously call that nonsense at the end OF a great performance.

  • He was one of the first important drummers of guitar music! He broke a lot of ground... and so was the beginning of something great.

  • He was only ever 'revolutionary' when he got pissed and fell around like a drunken, talentless sausage. The drunken old cunt.

  • And are you actually 50? Arguing with a 16 year old about Paul McCartney? Blimey, what a life that must be. Night.

  • If I was 50 then the best years of my life would be behind me, making me more likely to have fuck all worth doing that arguing on here. If you're 16 then you seriously need to rethink your life. Night!

  • its 10 to 12 on a monday night... can't be partying all the time.

  • Too right, you should be in bed!

  • owned yourself, nub

  • Oh, and no of course I can't fucking read. That's how I'm seeing what you're saying and then writing back to you.

    Stupid cunt.

  • Well you're not reading it properly, how the fuck could anyone interpret anything of what I said into a compliment? Jesus Christ lol

  • The King stold one again.

This is the best one i know of.

this kinda music is what set paul apart from everyone else

  • This is my favorite song in the world. Hands down.

  • My dad's band did this for a charity concert and let me tell you if you use your imagination right this you can use the beats to sync up one hell of a light show.... they did this with venus/mars/rock show and the lights i rigged were mind blowing.

  • This song on headphones is freaking amazing (Band on the Run, plus fadeout). Oooooooh yes x

  • oh my god!!!!! thanks for the video, so great!!!!!

uhuhuhuh do it to me babe

    love ya paul

you're the best, still the best!!!!!

  • Paul is fucking gorgeous. Every song he makes is purely amazing and phenomenal, hence why he is my favorite artist of all time.

  • Whew, I'm glad you said your favorite artist of all time and not the best of all time. In my opinion, 2 words-Dave Gimour. I am a big fan of Paul and the rest of the Beatles, which is what I grew up listening to involuntarily, because my mom loves them.

  • Yessss, I love Paul. I also Love Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin about just as much. Paul and Robert:)

I love John Lennon too, but I've always loved Paul a tad more.

  • look at those teeth

  • the master

  • The emperor of rock

  • The REAL king of pop

  • that one is spot on.

  • Yes is agree. who is michael jackson, when you see paul still live on stage better than ever. And he ist now 67!

  • it is no a beatles song ¬¬

  • he smoked a joint lol

  • Comment removed

  • laugh out loud

people say it when something is funny

  • Comment removed

  • Usually, yes. lol

  • looks like Elvis at 4:25

  • manbigus;

Jepp, they went to Lagos, Nigeria. Crazy idea to begin with. Imagine those guys killing Beatle-Paul over some loose change. I'm so glad Linda screamed.

Paul once made a joke about the incident: they stole the demotapes, and when the thieves listened to them, they said "let's get some real music on here", and recorded over it.

I love this song, and I love Macca.

  • Actually McCartney's best album is "Ram" but this album and this song really rock too.

  • A great song from maybe his best album.

  • An excellent song from his best album Band On The Run (recorded in Nigeria of all places).

Gosh 1985, seems so long ago now....

  • I wish he performs this song again!!

  • esta es una rola de las mejores de mccartney, el video es poco conocido, felicidades a quien lo subió, Alejandro Orihuela Niebl

  • It was in Nigeria?

  • No, I think it was in GB. One Hand Clapping is a film project which was begun around 1974 I tink, so it was more than a year later than the Band on the Run sessions in Lagos :)

  • McCartney, Denny Laine and Linda recorded it in Nigeria. The story goes that he and Linda were taken at knife point in Lagos. The villains were after McCartney But, didn't know it was him. They were going to rob then probably kill him. Linda knew this and started shouting, 'that's Beatle Paul'. The villains only robbed him as a result.

  • So... Paul's life was spared due to being a Beatle, and John's life was taken due to being a Beatle. Interesting. It's like they were: "Paul: It's getting better / John: It can't get no worse..."

  • he was very high haha

  • thats boss thaa

  • That's awesome!! I luv that song!! xD one of my faves : )) thanks Julie xD

  • This song is so freakin' catchy!

  • Does anyone know where this video comes from? I'd like to see the whole thing!!!!

  • This video comes from a Tv program in1973 (I think ) called "One Hand Clapping" rehearsals of T"Wings" at Abbey Road Studios."1985" is the end of this mervellous document, you can find it on Emule or Bit Torrent for example...

  • Geez, if you whacked this on in between the regular clips or whatever - video all cleaned up - it'd knock 'em for six!!!

  • th' Dude is a stud...no question. Wouldn't you want to be him??? except for Heather Mills, he didn't make many mistakes.

  • I was saddened about that entire thing. Poor Paul. He kind of goofed. Linda was his perfect mate.

  • lol he's so stoned in the second part of the vid u can see it in his eyes! gawd i luvv him soooo much!!! I wanna get high with Paulie!!!! <333333

  • What makes you think he was stoned? The eyes? heck, I don't do drugs and my eyes look bloodshot and weird when I am seriosly short on sleep.

  • to manbigus: I didn't mean it in a bad way, I was just observing Paulie's body language/eyes/moves/actions and it seemed to me that he was high while singing this song (I luvv this song sooo much, btw)! But, I'm really not saying it in a mean way, I just think it's funny and cute! Then again, Paulie's high on life (just like me) and I love him for that! So maybe he was stoned or maybe he wasn't, and it's not worth it to get into a debate about it. But still, I would LOVE to get high with him!!!!

  • 2:07, that ain't tobacco.

  • NO it is not TOBACCO, he he he

  • reminds me trigger happy tv

  • Looks like Sir Paul is getting high in this video!! The "little lady" must be MaryJane!! Ha Ha!!

  • this is paul's most progressive song

  • And Old Siam Sir I would add!

  • *0*

    MACCA 4EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • genious!

  • PAUL!!!!! Sir mccartney... You make me smile :) Peace love laughter :):):)

  • the golden dogs do an amazing cover of this song, i suggest checking it out

  • i agree

  • Love it! My favorite Paul song. Remember listening when I was 11 thinking how far in the future 1985 was.

  • I love it also, and I don't understand why he never sang it live instead of always singing the same stuff "Let Me Roll It" or "Jet" "Band on the run" that are very good songs but always in the track lists since 1976...boring Paul's choices, boring Show business, sometimes they HAVE to sing the most saled records...we have enough of that, damn!!!

  • completamente de acuerdo

  • sometimes the simplest lyrics and instrument progressions create the best songs. Beatles, Wings, and a lot of other bands of that era found that magic and is why their songs live on.

  • Arguing youtube is pointless. "i dont like this song." well, i do, so youre an idiot!" "no, youre an idiot because in your comment to me you spelled a word wrong!" "no, youre the idiot because you used a comma improperly!" and on and on....pointless.

  • Surely in the top 5 of paul's songs !

  • im not saying mccartney isnt an "icon"...hes great and obviously has written some great songs...i just dont understand the fascination with THIS song and why so many bands cover it....if you read the lyrics, theyre trite and a 3rd grader couldve written them....yeah, the piano chord progression (yes, a piano IS a stringed instrument) is interseting, but the song goes nowhere and the words are stale....mccartney can and has done much more interesting things...so im just trying to get...why this?

  • Because it's catchy.

Also, a lot of rock songs done in the last 15 years have prominently used a chord progression that this song has (see 0:40-0:48), so it has 'that sound' as a 'current' element.

  • Its called `Iconic`! What shite do you listen to?

  • ...it only means that a third grader can write 'better then him'!!!!

  • well, if you think a third grader would write better than Paul, why don't you just upload the damn video.... fucking troll, you are!

  • Mercurial. Looks as if he's really suffering then pushes himself to enjoy himself and be happy. Then ends like a professional with a smile. Fascinating performer.

  • Sure miss Linda... If only.

  • Paul McCartney Is MY HERO!

    I Love him =)

  • This song is purely badass.

  • Too hard to play and sing!!!

  • yummmmm

  • That dude who refers to "Paul" as McFaul I think is trying to say that the guy is an/the imposter. Could be right, as he only resembles Paul when he's up on stafe. Other observations: whoever it is, the vocal quality is great. Whoever it is, he's looks as if he's stoned on stage. Ok, now what is this video? It's not a music video, is it just some promotional piece, or from a documentary, or a "home movie"?

  • It's from the 2001 documentary DVD "Wingspan" and also in Paul McCartney & Wings' 1974 TV special "One Hand Clapping". It definitely is Paul.

  • It's a remix of the original song... a slimmed down mix of the original studio recording, but later the full mix comes in.

  • Dios mio...o "Monkeberry Moon Delight" tambien... Aunque Band On The Run, Jet, Let Me Roll It y "Mrs. Vanderblit" (las que toca en vivo) están buenas tambien...

  • para cuando una version en vivo de esta cancion?????? basta con jet o Let Me roll it!!

Live version of these song pleaseeeeeeeeee..........!!!!!!!!!!!!
