  • ...? ugly swing, ben hogan would puke, that follow through looks like a humpback whale a having a seizure...

  • Great swing!

Never mind the negative comments here.

  • good swing not ben hogan

  • Far from it

  • lol

  • someone want to explain to me how this resembles ben hogan?

  • Where are his hat and cigarette? And what happened to his great swing?

  • please stop comparing yourself with Ben Hogan,

  • To be a champion requires more than a marvelous swing. You also have to learn how to play the game of golf.

  • what a wanna be

  • The next Ben Hogan huh? Great....take a grey hound bus head on at 70 miles an hour, then come back and win three majors in one year. After that...we can call you the next Ben Hogan.

  • sorry is that follow through for a man? or for a three eyed tranny

  • Was this video posted by Alex Matlari's ..... Mom ?

  • i like how is lower body is completely quiet at impact. must make him very accurate

  • We spend at least 75 percent on short game.

  • Very nice swing. Fundamentally sound. How is the short game? Is much attention placed upon shots out of rough, traps, fried eggs, uphill & downhill lies? To score you need a good swing and a great short game which will serve you well under pressure. Hang in there and don't listen to too many people!

  • far from hogan kid, you may be good but dont compre your swing to hogans....... what video you watching? dont u have eyes to see your swing is so different, why dont you just own your own swing?

  • Hogan would be sickened by that clubface position...

  • @sweeniebhoy7 Hogan was interested in Ballflight, This kid has world class ballflight for 15.

  • Hey emcaity, I know what you are talking about. I hear the same BS all the time. One thing I like about Alex, and my son is the same, they are not into telling stories about how good they are or want anyone else do the same. It is a nice change!

  • @bruderlong I guess they just leave it to you by calling them the nest Ben Hogan lol

  • This was a year and a half ago. There are super-slow-mos you can see.

  • too fast a swing to really see - sorry n all but got a long way to go before comparing to hogan. Good luck

  • @CBFREE

Hey, I agree about "too fast"--how about posting a slow-mo, since it's so hard to freeze where you want on a YT vid?

  • Good grief. People are discussing what a great player he is after seeing his swing, or after seeing ball flight? You know how many "unbeatable" kids I've seen who "hit it awesome," but who end up shelling out money at the end of a match? Uncountable. That's all I ever used to hear about--the next one who was going to kick my ass, the best player anybody had ever seen...until they didn't. So you'll forgive a little skepticism.

  • Still, plus-3.5 is really, really good, and if he got that number from playing legit courses and in tournament play, it indicates scoring ability, not just ballstriking and a swing that fits somebody's theory. Where is he ranked, and how high?

  • @emncaity impressive! We will put you in the hall of fame with Titanic Thomson:>)

  • @bruderlong

Hey, I'm just saying. Obviously I'm nowhere near as much a genius in making bets as a guy like Titanic. But I mean, I could be in a money match, four under at the turn, piping it down the middle, and it was inevitable--some guy (usually one of the ones getting trounced) would have to just go on and on about his nephew who played at Oklahoma State and hit it 400 yards left-handed and never missed a putt under 20 feet and could shoot 61 "any time he wants to." Seriously.

  • @bruderlong

That said--I'm not saying the kid isn't good. I really do love his action. I'm just saying it cracks me up when people sit on youtube and discuss what they know or don't know about whether a player could make a living at the game, etc., just from a swing video.

  • Tom is a John Schlee deciple. I spent a week in John's house back in the late 80s. He was in a different league to Tom. The key to building a good swing is being able to extract what is good from Hogan's concept and applying it to "modern fundementals". There are very few people who can really make a swing similar to Hogan. Alex has the facilities, but it will not be a copy when we are finished developing his swing.

  • sevam1 is cool, but he doesn't come close to the genuine how-to Hogan method of the golf swing that Tom Bertrand does. Laying the club off and the neutral grip in combination with using the left elbow to release is what put Hogan above and beyond all others (along with a couple dozen other details). It's like putting a scope on your 30-06 for the first time.

  • listen man, this kid has a solid swing and i don't doubt his ability, but to be comparing him to Hogan is insane. first of all, you guys really shouldn't be preoccupied with trying to become the next ben hogan. Hogan is one of the top 3 greatest golfers of all time and there will never be a "next hogan". second of all, this kid swings nothing like him, and thats not an insult. you guys keep working hard and winning golf tournaments, but don't proclaim yourself to be the next ben hogan.

  • Hey big guy, you are a little off base. First of all, you have never seen this guy live. He hits it like nothing you have ever seen. What I meant was, he has a swing like a modern Hogan would. Ballstriking and playing record are two different things. If this kid is ever in you area, go see him! I have players on the ET. When people come to watch the pros, and Alex is there, they just end up staring at him... just wait!

  • hey hogan fanatic, if you knew anything about hogan's swing you would know that the lag he created is by far not the most important thing of his swing. i would suggest checking out sevam1 on youtube. he knows what he's talking about when it comes to hogan and moe norman.

  • I will guarantee you that he works! The blondes is a nice problem to have....

  • My point about a modern Hogan is this. He has the ability to swing it like Hogan with the lag he can create. You do not see many touring pros who can swing it like Alex. Alex's swing will continue to evolve, it is just nice to see it in action. That is coming from a real Hogan fanatic!!

  • Don't forget the word WORK, dont listen to hype and keep away from Blondes when you start shaving.

  • Isn't golf a rich persons sport in Germany? Modern living and easy credit means there will never be another Ben Hogan. Yes, too rich to be the next Ben Hogan. Hogan worked in povery til he was 35 to work out his swing, when you have it at all at 14 what's left to work for? So many don't. He might be the next Tiger woods though (Alex's swing there is better). Swing is "good" because it's pretty textbook (but is that really" good"?)

  • that is the most amazing swing

its a dynamic knee flex works the weight through faster

    comment mine
