  • Hey man...cool thing. Can you tell me if there are specific areas you target? Like 125Hz in the low end and 4500Hz on the high end?

  • @TheDensHard I don't go above 125hz. I've found going any higher adds mud. For the top end I try set it at the harshest frequency. 99% of the time that's between 3khz and 5khz.

  • Great tone man! Would it make any sense to insert the mixsaturator on whole mix?

  • @psilokrzych I've tried it and didn't like it. Seems to work best on guitars and bass.

  • Hey, would this mixsaturator perform well on a mic-ed guitar sound? Or, is it just preamp (any sim, or amp line out) -> mixsaturator -> cabinet impulse?

  • @OhSoInsane Sure man. Works great on a mic'd tone. With amp sims I have it last in the chain also, so Amp sim - impulse - mixsaturator.

  • @fearcomplexmusic very nice! That is incredible to hear

  • Hey dude i had a quick question concerning a prob ive been having for years. Nose gate guitar buzz issues.. No matter what the settings, buzz still manages to get through. I dont palm mute all that much in my music but when i do, the buzz gets through when i palm mute, So i try to avoid it anyway. Which isnt good becaus ei would like to be able to play my instrument and nt worry about something like this..limitations. All of your vids have helped alot man. Godbless

  • Hello .. i am your video fans for a long time..

i really want to ask you are question that disturb me for a long time...

what is your tips to recording guitar sounds as loud as i t can ...but not clipping ?

    thank you

  • @neo69hk It's not so difficult with a balanced mix. Keep an eye on the bass and kick in particular, an out of control low end is the quickest path to a master clipping before it sounds loud enough. Let the kick and bass to dominate the low end and cut the lows from the guitars and other drums with a hi-pass filter at 100hz. Let your mids be dominated by guitars, vocals, snare, toms and the top end by your cymbals. When the mix is balanced you wont need to do half as much squashing with limiters.

  • You and Ola (Fearedse) = my favorite youtubers ever!

  • @PPPatrickWWW Yeah man Ola's awesome. The guy can make anything sound great!

  • @fearcomplexmusic Isn't OLA and you the same person? lol

  • @mauritia No man Ola's fearedse

  • didn't know you could get this pro sounding with only two takes

  • shit you did it again! thanks a lot!...

why you didn't use the same settings for both channels? left and right.

would be great hearing this guitar tracks on a mix to really hear the differences in a mix situation.

  • @TechcoreIsSexy Hey the plugin is on the master fx channel so it's processing both guitar tracks. If this was a full mix I'd have created a stereo group for the guitars and put the plugin on that. Good idea on showing the difference the mixsaturator can make in a mix situation, will do that in another video.

  • Hey, very nice tone! What guitar and pups do u use?

  • @insudm Thanks a lot! ESP Eclipse & EMG 81

  • Man, i fucking love you.

  • @Dimeist Awesome lol :D

  • MEATY!!!

  • @recitetheplan Good to hear!

  • great vid! I used to do the same using PSP VintageWarmer. Thanks for sharing!

  • @stuff7109 Cheers! Yeah VintageWarmer is a great plugin also.

  • What impulses/loader are you using? Are they available for mac?

  • @ViciousHead I used lecab impulse loader with the Catharsis 1-onpres5 impulse. Not sure if there's a loader for mac.

  • @fearcomplexmusic Cool, I've been using recabinet and plugging my ENGL Fireball direct. It'd be nice to have some other options for impulses though :)

  • Important question: are you using EMG's here?

  • @gemarrs Hey yes I am. EMG 81.

  • Nice sounds! Ever try any other saturators or even exciters?

  • @BuckToff Yeah man I've tried most of them. I like this and Soundtoys Decapitator.

  • Please make more videos for guitar. Im sure everybody are waiting for them.

  • sm57? amp? Killer tone!

  • @metalhead3ecr Cheers! Engl Fireball & Catharsis 1-on pres5 impulse.

  • @fearcomplexmusic AWESOME!

  • @fearcomplexmusic You use the preamp or you use a vst of engl?

  • @semilei I used the preamp of the real amp.

  • Probably the best channel for VST & Home music recording.

  • Dude... I love you! Your videos are fu*cking great! xD

  • I like it though. It adds a little subtle something to the distorted guitars. Though in an ideal situation you simply setup a mic infront of the cab, and that's that. All depends on what you're going for. It's 2012, so I say go ahead and use the saturator!

  • what program is this??

  • @jbphotog712 reaper

  • guitars already sound great without saturation :)

  • @alperr307 Good to hear man thanks!

  • good
