ONT one of the reason is that UK have automatically qualified for the Eurovision final, regardless of their positions on the scoreboard in previous Contests. While other countries must go trough knock-out phase, UK (+ GER, SPA, FRA) dont...and you know, countries allmoast every year give points to same neighbour or friendly countries in Eurovision...
