  • hey can i play games on this

  • Not Familiar with this Brand, but a nice set of features & is well Built, GPS locks in Quick.

  • which one is better immpression or smart phone

  • Nice review. UK price atm is £170 so not bad considering the Tytn 2 is close to £500

  • my zinc will be here on my birthday and i cant wait!

  • could u tell me the settings to get it to connect rogers web browsing because mine cant connect to the GPRS

  • You'll need to create a new GPRS connection. Connects To > Internet. Access Point: internet(.)com Username and password blank.

  • sweet works perfectly

  • can we install the Flash I in this phone? so we can watch YouTube's?

  • There's a long and complicated answer, but the short answer is no, you can't. There's not really a good YouTube client for Windows Mobile right now that's available for purchase/download.

    - Jason

  • You said that you were on the Rogers SIM, is this correct? If so were able to connect to the internet through the 3g.

  • Yes, that's correct - it worked great!

    - Jason

  • umm i got this phone.. but can anyone tell me how to set it such that it does not automatically reject calls? i have this problems of the phone auto rejecting calls after 10s or so..

  • It shouldn't automatically reject calls. You're saying that if you have it sitting on a table, and someone calls you, it will immediately reject the call? There might be something deep in the settings related to that, but nothing comes to mind. If I were you, I'd hard reset the phone (i.e.: wipe it out), then before you change anything at all, try calling the phone and see what happens.

    - Jason

  • does it have a head phone jack? what kind

  • hey i wanted to know like would i be able to visit sites like facebook and youtube and watch videos and see pictures ?

  • Facebook has a decent mobile site, but YouTube's mobile site requires Flash I think, which this doesn't support.

    - Jason

  • is this a good phone for teens if not what is. with qwerty keybored

    thanks

  • oh also can i install touchflo on it?

  • Technically? Yes. But since HTC doesn't sell TouchFlo 3D, that's where this conversation has to end. :-)

    - Jason

  • 2 questions

    1. is the slide out fluid, like is it a smooth slide out

    2. i wanted the xperia but i found this for about $400

do you think i should go with this?

  • Yes, the slide-out action is fairly smooth. As for whether or not you should buy it, that's your decision to make, not mine.

    - Jason

  • How is the camera quality when taking still pictures and videos? Thank you.

  • I've given this away as a prize in a contest, so I can't answer that question unfortunately.

    - Jason

  • is the Atom V better or this?

  • I don't think the Atom V has a slide-out keyboard, does it? So it's a completely different class of device.

    - Jason

  • does it include internet and messaging?

  • Yes, it comes with Internet Explorer Mobile and an IM application - though you can install others if you don't like the default.

    - Jason

  • Thanks,Jason, the problem with that is that without a carrier you can get a lower price since this phone is Xpensive.I saw the price in $549.00.

  • Yes, that's exactly the problem - you're buying the phone without a carrier subsidy, and this is how much these phones really cost. :-) But if you want to use a phone of your choice instead of what the carrier offers you, this is the price you pay.

    - Jason

  • Who is going to be the carrier of this phone? i'm with AT&T...

  • This phone won't come out on a carrier - it's sold unlocked and can be used on any GSM carrier, which includes AT&T.

    - Jason

  • Keyboard is flat and its bulky, good if you like that sort of thing.

  • Damn this thing is nice! What service is this for? If it's for T-Mobile(which by the way I highly doubt it is) then I'm trading in my Wing!

  • It can be used on any GSM network, including T-Mobile...but T-Mobile uses some funky band for 3G (1700 I think), so while the GPRS/EDGE would work, I'm not sure you'd get 3G speeds.

    - Jason

  • Oh okay. So if I were to buy this phone and put my SIM card in it, do you think my myFaves would appear on the phone? Would you know

  • I'm not sure if MyFaves are controlled at the network level or if they're on your SIM - but it's not like it's hard to program a few numbers onto this. :-)

    - Jason

  • Not impressive at all, Seriously UnderPOwered.

    BOo!!!!

  • jason could you make a video on how to change the theme or color thatnx

  • hmm thanks mate nice vid...

  • i think thats a bit shit that you need to put your own url in if you wanna watch a video stream but i love this phone its gr8

  • cool thanx lol

  • I was thinking about this or the glyde for Christmas. Which should I get?

  • pleze rely bak =(where do u get these rare mobiles)

  • if ur in the US try ebay or amazon, if your in the UK (like me) try h t t p :// w w w . expansys . com / d . aspx ? i = 161302

    (delete the spaces)

  • Where do *I* get them, or where can *you* get them? I get them from the companies that make them. You can get them via Amazon, Expansys, or any other number of resellers - just use a search engine and you'll find many people selling them.

    - Jason

  • can you change the theme for this phone? the blue themes seems rather ugly.

  • Yes, you can change the theme to any colour/wallpaper you want.

    - Jason

  • which phone should i get iphone3g or mwg zinc ii???????????

  • Get whichever one meets your needs the best. :-)

    - Jason

  • y would u want utten for a touchscreen phone and all the touchscreen phones with keypads there all to thick

  • iphone3g is way better than mwg zinc ii

  • i like this phone but its pretty costly..is it the motorola qh (unlocked) any good in terms of qwerty keyboard/messaging/features/camera quality?

  • You bet, the Q9h is a good messaging phone. Although I personally prefer the Blackjack II even more... :-)

    - Jason

  • how much is this phone?

  • It's in the sidebar: $599 USD is the current price from Expansys.

    - Jason

  • dude you get alot of cool stuff

  • Thanks, I do enjoy my job. :-)

    - Jason

  • nice phone, looks better than the iphone, don't know for price wise

  • Because the iPhone is sold carrier-locked and under a contract in the US, it's cheaper than this. But this phone can be used on any GSM carrier, anywhere in the world, and without a contract - so that's something you pay more for.

    - Jason

  • They should have let you integrate some virtual memory from a memory card, in order to boost application performance. I wish manufacturers would start doing that on "micro PC devices", just as you can do this on a regular windows computer.

  • That's one option, yes, but unlike the hard drive in your computer, people do take out their storage cards - so that might cause some problems. RAM is pretty cheap nowadays, so I'm surprised that they didn't put 128 MB or even 96 MB of RAM.

    - Jason

  • Great review, Jason! I'm not very happy on how much RAM it has... Because when I was using 64mb of RAM on my Dell X51v, it was slow. Granted iLauncher and PocketWeather was running in the background. But there was ~23mb of RAM left... Now the I have 128mb of RAM in the X51v (PocketPCTechs), I can say it's much faster... Great device though!

  • Yeah, the 64 MB will be limiting for some people - especially GPS, that's the killer because most GPS programs use up a lot of memory.

    - Jason

  • Defiantly. They built a GPS in it, and you really can't take advantage of it because of the RAM.

  • I did notice however that the Live Search application works GREAT - it doesn't use up that much memory. I think the real problem will be with the GPS apps that do turn by turn directions...they tend to be much more RAM hungry.

    - Jason

  • Wow, Windows Like using little memory... That's a good thing! Does have a great processor for a PDA Phone though.

  • my first laptop had a 500 MHz processor with 64 mb of ram

  • lol

  • Yeah, it's pretty amazing how far things have progressed, isn't it?

    - Jason

  • well in order to make it fast, you need to flash your rom. i know the sound of it seems dangerous but it really isnt. i mean i hesitated for the first few months i had my tilt cause it will void your warranty with at&t. but i took a chance and did it one day and am i glad i did it! i promise you will love your tilt 100x more then u did before and have a different perspective of it. i got the original rom too just in case anything goes wrong and you need to send the phone back for a replacement.

  • Sounds like you're talking about illegal ROM images - I don't use those.

    - Jason

  • nope not illegal roms. they are homecooked. all completely legit

  • actually my at&t tilt is faster when switching landscape and portrait mode. AT&T Tilt and the 3G iPhone is the the best phones right now in the phone market with the best processor speed as well as memory. I cant wait to get the htc touch pro though.

  • Really? My AT&T is *brutally* slow switching from portrait to landscape. The same thing would always happen: I'd slide out the keyboard, it would start to switch to landscape, and I'd start dialling a phone number (or typing a name) and it would drop the first one or two characters, so I'd have to delete what it did pick up and start over. I found it to be a very frustrating phone.

    - Jason

  • Iphone 3g better

  • first

  • And do you have anything to say about the review or product? :-)

    - Jason
