There's a long and complicated answer, but the short answer is no, you can't. There's not really a good YouTube client for Windows Mobile right now that's available for purchase/download.
umm i got this phone.. but can anyone tell me how to set it such that it does not automatically reject calls? i have this problems of the phone auto rejecting calls after 10s or so..
It shouldn't automatically reject calls. You're saying that if you have it sitting on a table, and someone calls you, it will immediately reject the call? There might be something deep in the settings related to that, but nothing comes to mind. If I were you, I'd hard reset the phone (i.e.: wipe it out), then before you change anything at all, try calling the phone and see what happens.
Yes, that's exactly the problem - you're buying the phone without a carrier subsidy, and this is how much these phones really cost. :-) But if you want to use a phone of your choice instead of what the carrier offers you, this is the price you pay.
It can be used on any GSM network, including T-Mobile...but T-Mobile uses some funky band for 3G (1700 I think), so while the GPRS/EDGE would work, I'm not sure you'd get 3G speeds.
I'm not sure if MyFaves are controlled at the network level or if they're on your SIM - but it's not like it's hard to program a few numbers onto this. :-)
Where do *I* get them, or where can *you* get them? I get them from the companies that make them. You can get them via Amazon, Expansys, or any other number of resellers - just use a search engine and you'll find many people selling them.
Because the iPhone is sold carrier-locked and under a contract in the US, it's cheaper than this. But this phone can be used on any GSM carrier, anywhere in the world, and without a contract - so that's something you pay more for.
They should have let you integrate some virtual memory from a memory card, in order to boost application performance. I wish manufacturers would start doing that on "micro PC devices", just as you can do this on a regular windows computer.
That's one option, yes, but unlike the hard drive in your computer, people do take out their storage cards - so that might cause some problems. RAM is pretty cheap nowadays, so I'm surprised that they didn't put 128 MB or even 96 MB of RAM.
Great review, Jason! I'm not very happy on how much RAM it has... Because when I was using 64mb of RAM on my Dell X51v, it was slow. Granted iLauncher and PocketWeather was running in the background. But there was ~23mb of RAM left... Now the I have 128mb of RAM in the X51v (PocketPCTechs), I can say it's much faster... Great device though!
I did notice however that the Live Search application works GREAT - it doesn't use up that much memory. I think the real problem will be with the GPS apps that do turn by turn directions...they tend to be much more RAM hungry.
well in order to make it fast, you need to flash your rom. i know the sound of it seems dangerous but it really isnt. i mean i hesitated for the first few months i had my tilt cause it will void your warranty with at&t. but i took a chance and did it one day and am i glad i did it! i promise you will love your tilt 100x more then u did before and have a different perspective of it. i got the original rom too just in case anything goes wrong and you need to send the phone back for a replacement.
actually my at&t tilt is faster when switching landscape and portrait mode. AT&T Tilt and the 3G iPhone is the the best phones right now in the phone market with the best processor speed as well as memory. I cant wait to get the htc touch pro though.
Really? My AT&T is *brutally* slow switching from portrait to landscape. The same thing would always happen: I'd slide out the keyboard, it would start to switch to landscape, and I'd start dialling a phone number (or typing a name) and it would drop the first one or two characters, so I'd have to delete what it did pick up and start over. I found it to be a very frustrating phone.
hey can i play games on this

2 questions
1. is the slide out fluid, like is it a smooth slide out
2. i wanted the xperia but i found this for about $400
do you think i should go with this?
STR8MARGATE 3 years ago
Yes, the slide-out action is fairly smooth. As for whether or not you should buy it, that's your decision to make, not mine.

This phone won't come out on a carrier - it's sold unlocked and can be used on any GSM carrier, which includes AT&T.

Yeah, the 64 MB will be limiting for some people - especially GPS, that's the killer because most GPS programs use up a lot of memory.
- Jason
ThoughtsMedia 3 years ago
Defiantly. They built a GPS in it, and you really can't take advantage of it because of the RAM.
