  • i was talking to a group of my mates and one of them said".....moon and stars, and i said soldier battle scars, while thinking of this video xD

  • From which episode is it at 1:41 where The Doctor (Matt Smith) throws the papers?

  • @TheNICKDoctor2 its not an episode, it was from the Doctor Who proms

  • I love that video!

  • They should air this video for celebration of 50 years :D

  • Anything I type here will never show how much I truly love this video.

It seems anything BabelColour makes is absolutely brilliant.

If someone made a meter that could show how much I like this video, the reading would be off the scale.

You have used the best scenes, and they go together with the music PERFECTLY.

  • @DinosaurBoy789 What a kind post! I'm so glad to read that you've enjoyed it. Thank you :)

  • I cannot reiterate how much I LOVE this video. You have done a brilliant job. What about...? ... well, you covered them all <3

  • @Tamakael You're terribly kind. Thank you very much!

  • who is singing that song?

  • @TheDW11 - Try watching until the end of the video!

  • i love your videos

  • I can't put into words how awesome this. So well put together-the timing is brilliant! Going straight in my favourites. :)

  • Just when I think you can't possibly top the last one.... that's exactly what you do.

    Stupendous work.

  • this is so great and the music suits all of this the new music video for it :)

  • I wish you were more of a Troughton fan (he's always very noticeably the least represented in your multi-Doc vids), but I always enjoy these vids.

  • Fantastic video :) The timing is wonderful, and this has become my favourite song of the moment <3

  • The Best. Period.

  • What are the sailboats in space at 2:35 from? I don't recognize them at all.

  • @EmmaJaneMurdock "Enlightenment"

  • @Metaldog14150 Ah, thank you very much!

  • Oh BabelColour. Beautiful, beautiful BabelColour with your excellent, excellent videos. Magnificent!

  • Very nice

  • this is fantastic video and the music i lv it had to get it from itunes ty

  • FirstTimeLord001 got kicked off Youtube! :0

  • Perfect. It uses clips from each Doctor's era in such seamless ways. My favorites parts are with the title sequences, and the bit with the Doctor's eyes.

  • Awesome video. You should upload an HD version :)

  • When does 10 and 11 ride reindeers? :S

  • @MAXPLOSIVE 10 does it in a BBC Christmas ident. 11 does it in the 2010 Christmas special, A Christmas Carol.

  • WOW , you're good!

  • Absolutely beautiful video!

Love the song choice, the editing, choice of clips.....EVERYTHING!

    Well done as always !!!

  • 5 people have no good taste

  • @TheNICKDoctor2 the ring is from the Runaway Bride, and the Sontaran is from an SJA episode called the Last Sontaran

  • How can there be 5 dislikes

on this vid? It's awesome :D

  • "What about the bbc" what about hireing this guy"!

  • This is easily the single best Doctor Who montage ever made. The BBC should use this to advertise the 50th Anniversary. Superb.

  • Oh wow, this is just gorgeous! Perfect retrospective yet again & great song. Such great quality on the classic clips, too. =) 3

  • I'm tweeting this to Stephen Moffatt. Right now.

  • From which episode is this scene taken at 1:41 ?

  • At 1:51, I don't know why but that timing is perfect and makes me smile! I know I've commented before but I think this should be at the end of the 50 year anniversary!

  • Very good. The journey so far.

  • This is the most beautiful video in the history of the universe. Nuff said.

  • I´m in awe with the perfection of this video. Babelcolour, you´re brilliant.

  • Love this. Much screaming here. The kids and I try to yell out the number of each Doctor as we see him. The Five Doctor episode clip does cause a bit of a cacophony. Thank you for all these great vids.

  • I hate modern songs because if too much of chorus repeats but that was brilliant

  • Good work :) i now have this song stuck in my head xD

  • I *love* this video. I think it may be my favorite video I've ever seen on Youtube, DW-themed or not. :) It shows everything I love about this show. The scenes are absolutely perfect, the timing is perfect, and the song is amazing. I had never heard that song until I had watched this video, but now I think it might be my favorite.

  • @JustAWeepingAngel That's very nice to hear! So glad you enjoy it. Thank you :)

  • This truly shows your love and dedication to Doctor Who after nearly 50 years of it! Well done for making this superb tribute!

  • @dronedalekgaming6 Thanks. It's so nice that other fans are enjoying it!

  • Another excellent video, as always.

Years ago someone had a Doctor Who video to this song, but it was taken down. Was that you, or someone else?

In any case, I think I like this one better. When Joan and John hit the screen on "It's school and work and then life" I gasped out loud at how perfect that moment was.

  • I just noticed this- Your title says "What About Babelcolour". Intentional or not, that's hilarious! I also love how you use classic scenes as well as new Who- not everyone does.

  • @LokianEule I just cannot separate the two. "Classic Who" and "New Who" are all Who.

  • I vividly remember Calapine's video from years back and it was definitely one of my early favorites, so it truly means something when I say you went beyond sir.

  • @FanRantProduction I'm glad you liked it. Calapine's version certainly inspired me to have a go at the song.

  • That was brilliant! Bravo!!

  • @DoctorWhoJunkie Thank you.

  • @oopdoop44

The flying ships are from Enlightenment, Peter Davison era (season 20). :D

  • @DoctorThetaSigma wow really? I was about to watch that episode! lol.

  • fantastic!

  • In the Lodger clip at 0:42, the doctors in his mind go 9-10-8-4-3-2-1. I just noticed that.

  • I like videos like this that summarizes the happy feelings that doctor who gives it's fans.

  • Dammit Babel, you made my eyes get all watery again!

  • In what episode did Tennant ride the TARDIS!? Amazing video by the way -3! i've watched it 4 times now ^^'

  • @PsychicXWolf I think that was a commercial actually

  • one of my favourite vids, good job, beautiful.

  • This is probably not the first time that I've commented on this video, but I have to say, after a couple of watchings... I think that impresses me the most is your command of the material. Literally a million scenes to choose from, and you picked exactly the right one every time. Just brilliant.

  • @almatric Very generous of you to say so. I'm delighted you enjoyed it :)

  • I love this song now

  • As always, painstakingly crafted brilliance. For anyone green to DW your videos are the perfect way to fire people's passion and interest for the show.

  • it's just... beautiful! Fantastic! Brilliant! There are no other words. Well done!

  • Basically THE Doctor Who tribute above all others. You are a genius :)

  • I forgot to mention earlier... The seamless blending of all the different title sequences is also a joy to behold! :)

  • I am addicted to this.where can I download?

  • Beautiful video! The split second that with the Brigadier during the lyric about soldiers and battle scars really got to me.

  • Flawless verve.

  • This is amazing. You excel yourself, again.

  • Which episode is 0:18 from? The one with the TARDIS in front of that planet sky, it's so beautiful

  • @88HUSE If memory serves correctly.. it's from the 80s! Sixth Doctor, Trial of a Time Lord, the 'Mindwarp' segment..

  • @khicle Thanks =)

  • @khicle Bingo!

  • Let me see... I've officially watched/listened to this song continuously... 12 times in a row? So much enjoyment from this song.

  • This is beautiful :)

  • This is really so awesome... I am always so happy when I see videos that acknowledge that Dr Who has a much longer history than many people currently acknowledge.. Hats off to you!

  • What episode is the woman falling off a pier (at 2:40-2:42) from?

Just love the soundtrack and the video; it brings parts of Doctor Who that not a lot of newer viewers see... I dont know what they're missing!!

  • @bjmorley Technically BC is cheating a bit there, it's not from Dr Who but from the spin-off 'The Sarah Jane Adventures' the clip is from the episode 'Whatever Happened to Sarah Jane?' which is one of the best episodes. If you haven't seen 'The Sarah Jane Adventures' then i definitely recommend it, it's fantastic aimed at a slightly younger audiences but so well put together that when it's good it out-shines a average episode of Dr Who.

  • @tribetng Yes I have seen it, however I haven't seen all of it (seeing as I hardly watch much CBBC now)... thank you anyway! :D

  • YAY!!! This was uploaded on my 21st birthday! Thank you for this great birthday present! :) I absolutely LOVE The Doctor! ^_^

  • Well, that was fun!!!

  • just awesome. fab mix of classic and new who. now I have to go download this song. excuse me. though I will be back to watch this again :)

  • simply amazing video brillant loved every single bit of it

  • This.....Is.....BRILLIANT!!!!!

Half a century of Doctor Who summed up in just under four minutes. Fantastic job! Simply astounding, as always!

  • I just re-watched this video and wished I could favorite it twice. It is truly, truly brilliant.

  • BRILLIANT,BRILLIANT,BRILLIANT one of your best videos EVER!!!!!Can't wait for more of your videos.

  • Boats in space!???i think i would remember something like that XD where is that clip from? :]

  • The only improvement on this that I could think of would be to have Matt Smith's actual lines at the very end "Hello, I'm the Doctor." Other than that, it's perfect, fantastic and wonderful all around.

  • daleks will always resemble their shape

  • this was a great song to fit with the scenes, ive also watched your sarah jane and brigadier tribute, so sad. Im not only liking, but im subscribing.

You really had covered everything :D

  • Dear Lord, you are so pitch perfect. Just when I think your vids can't get any better, you go and make one like this.

  • @GingerGallifrey Thank you very much. Glad to hear I haven't lost my mojo. :)

  • your genuinely one of the best editors i've ever seen! :) Xxx

  • @Sutekhthedestroyer07 You're very kind. It makes me so happy to know other fans enjoy the videos :)

  • This is cooler than a bow tie, fez and stetson all put together!

  • 1 dislike? That 1 person must be some lonely messed up person! This is wonderful!

  • FANTASTIC!

  • totally BRILLIANT !!! FANTASTIC !!! watch all your videos and think they are "fantastic",all the time and effort put in to these amazing creations that you share with us,thank you for spoiling us who fans.....alonsi

  • barely anthing not funny makes me smile, but this did, thanks

  • @terriblethomas101 Then my work is done! Glad to hear you liked it.

  • PERFECT SONG!

  • This is why DW is the best and most original tv show ever!

  • It is entirely possible that I've watched this too many times.

  • @GaEv4 Oh, go on. You know you can watch it a few more!

  • One cold heartless fool with Dalek for brains disliked this video.

    Let's kill him please.

  • I'm totally in love with this video, I don't want to criticise you, but I felt the need to point something out - at 0:43, it seems like you switched the Ninth and Tenth Doctor around.

  • BabelColour, I have to sue you for using up all of the AWESOME!!! :)

  • @FishWRabies I don't use it up, I merely gather it together to share.

  • Godd my man you are really good! Do you do video work for living? You rock the Dr.Who house.

  • @b5904 Thank you. I don't do it for a living. I have a terribly mundane job that primarily involves pushing pens.

  • Perfect tribute! I'm not too keen on the song myself, gets on my nerves a bit! But it most definitely fits the tribute!

  • @moco806 I love this song! It's one of my favorites now!

  • I get teary at some points. This is wonderful

  • @Sednethal I'm glad it has a power to move people. Thank you

  • @Sednethal This happens to me, too. Just thought I'd mention that.

  • My God...this one is PERFECT!

  • @FreddyPavao - I'm delighted you think so!

  • That is pure gold. I have the CD where this song comes from, and now I shall always associate it with Doctor Who.

  • another briliant video

  • @MrDOCTORWHO63 - Thank you very much :)

  • You never disappoint! Another amazing work!

Now I can't get this song out of my head!

I will now always associate this song with Doctor Who (just like the many other songs used in your tributes).

  • @conanfan1412 - I happy to hear that. But you really mustn't try to get it out of your head. You must watch it and watch it and watch it!

  • @BabelColour Yes, sir!

  • around 0:56 poor dalek

  • One of your finest work to date, BabelColour. Keep it up! :)

  • @OfficialSmileyStudio Thank you

  • I love this! It's a good tribute. Out of curiosity which is your favorite doctor?

  • Ha! I did that same comparison of Colin and Matt jumping over benches in one of my videos too! Glad somebody else noticed!

  • Brilliant

  • @tardisandfredfan001 Thank you

  • Very good and professional compilation. I'm truly amazed how the clips connected perfectly with the lyrics. Astonishing!

  • Are u a YouTube partner? If not please check it out and consider it as u would be very likely to be accepted :) keep it up

  • @MrBenram I wouldn't consider it. It's not my copyright to use it, so I wouldn't try to make money off the back of it

  • THE BEST DOCTOR WHO VIDEO EVER!!!!!!!!!! You should make one about the doctor dieing :)

  • i can see why you chose this song, it's so amazing! i haven't stopped listening to it! the tribute is amazing, and i can see that you've put a couple of SJA clips in it too. the song is such an amazing fit to doctor who. well done, i can say that on behalf of all whovians across the world! :D

  • Where does the clip with the two girls "on this pier" come from? Its driving me crazy!

  • @squareeyes74 it is from the Sarah Jane Adventures in one of the episodes with the trickster

  • @squareeyes74 The Sarah-Jane Adventures' "Whatever Happened to Sarah-Jane?"

  • This song really fits with Docttor Who!!!!

  • can't stop watching this.

  • @best2baz - Excellent news. Watch it again!

  • Surely, Babelcolour, you have the mind of a Time Lord yourself. Who else could hear a song and come up with the ideal 1.58 seconds of Doctor Who footage to go with a particular phrase?

Also, thumbs up for getting Richard Hurndall in there!

  • You're welcome. In fact, i dedicated a post in a whovian blog about your videos ;)

  • @MisterAlexGabriel it's from the Special Edition of Enlightenment. They did a wonderful job at improving the special effects as you can see.

  • Where is the clip from at 'sailboats clatter in vain'?

  • Comment removed

  • The change between 8th to 9th/10th Doctor to 11th Titles is the one of the best shots in this video. Seamless.

  • The link to this video only showed up in my inbox today. Wonderful video and song and seems very apt with the season finale tomorrow.

  • This is a fantastic vid.

  • So, very beautiful

  • When it comes to new uploads, Babelcolour is always worth the wait :)

Brilliant tribute, loved the little Davros compilation :D

  • Another amazing, tribute!

  • That was beautiful. We Who fans are lucky to have such a talented fellow fan to make these wonderful videos. Thanks for another good's mate! @winterwolf2710 if you want to see that christmas who ad in full I'm going to suggest Applemask's channel. He did a wonderful series about the BBC at Christmas and he has that video in full. And it is canon. :D

  • @docmagnus88 - Thank you. I'm lucky too, to have such kind viewers. Glad you enjoyed it!

  • Fantastic work. Thanks a million

  • This song works well for the Doctor, I think. Instead of dealing with his personal trauma from the Time War and the things he lost, he ignores them and instead focuses on everything else. At first I didn't think this song worked that well for Doctor Who "other than being about everything, of course", but after giving it a bit of thought, I've changed my mind!
