The game is now free to play. As a free player you get two charactor slots and are limited in what classes you can choose, what chat areas you can participate in, joining super groups, using AE, trading, using the consignment house, and a few other things I don't have space to list here. There is a rewards program for free players though. The longer you play the more you unlock. I'm currently a free player and I've unlocked the ability to send tells, trade, and join super groups. I <3 this game.

Yeah but Free too Play, Players get a crappy Deal making it seem worthless to play, only having too Character Slots, they can't join a guild, Also they don't have access too Pets Class and Epic Arctypes.

I have both DC Universe Online and this, they're most definitely different games. A big difference is that in DCUO you can free-roam a whole city, not just sections. I'm not sure which one is better but City of Heroes is a lot like DCUO in its developement.

Actually this is weird. For once the game far outdoes the trailer. And after playing mmos of all sorts for the past six years, WoW, Aion (its pathetically short lived life) Everquest (just a little) Silk Road Online, D&D online etc this has to by far be the most fun mmo I have ever played!

ahh i miss this game. it used to be full with life but ever since champions online came out the population has just donr a straight drop. i had a 5 month break from this to play wow. i came back. around 100 people in the whole of union. i fear it will be shut down soon. btw if any of you know Jay Spine/Toxic Red etc from union. you know the basic idol of that server comment on this post

What makes this game great is more than the graphical upgrades and the hero customization (but those are cool too), its the history. The world feels alive with a history behind everything, including the colossal statues and signature heroes- even Praetoria has a history that explains the differences in their world and Prime Paragon.

the same people who made this made a huge mmo just like it called champions online on pc, it should still be in the new release sections, i think its 8.99 a month in the uk and 12.99 in usa

I got into it a few months ago and I love it. And as mightupload said, there is a game called Champions Online, but I'd never reccomend it. I tried it for a week and just could not stand it.

@KiyoshiHyuana its a great idea for an MMO :( shame they didnt pull it off too well. Some people said about champions online, but its not by the same team. I remmeber reading about the team who made this game focued on maintaining this game while they brught in new members to make that game. It has the same feel but it lacks alot :(
