  • i just bought an african ringneck 6 months old last week any tips to help tame !!

  • @Vgamer88 biggest thing is dont let the bird be the boss

  • Awww :-) I've never heard one talking, we have lots of wild ones here in Kingston/Richmond Park (UK) but they just go "Weeeeee weeeeee weeeeeee!"

  • LOL at 1:44 Good Baby it's good

  • I love your video. I just got a Ringneck and she is really mean but we are working on her. I am hoping to be able to teach her to talk and let me pet her. Thanks for sharing.

  • So cute

  • i have a redneck last time it said shut up loser! LOL

  • How do they make kissing sounds without lips?

Whatever you're doing, he REALLY likes it.

  • Awww you have such a lovely bird:)

  • weere did u buy the parrot pls replay

  • Just PRECIOUS. We have a ringneck too! Best lil talkers ever and so friendly!

  • We do have mirrors for them. And how come my female chases the male around. Im pretty sure that doesnt happen.

  • I have irns and i checked your website it so helpful. I just to know how do u teach them to talk. U have two beutiful ringnecks, a pair. They only make noise when othe parrot breeds fly over our house. The rest of the time they r quite? Why? Plzz help ty

  • @AdIcTeDGaMeR31 They are not intimate to you yet. Feed them green chilli (they love it) and place them in front of mirror. Talk to them a lot and they'll learn!

  • @solobirds thankyou we have been giving them red chili but they dont touch it.(red dry chili) is their any other info you can share

  • @AdIcTeDGaMeR31 they wont eat dry chilli. Actually they chew seeds from fresh green chillies then they talk a lot :) .You can also try mirrors. Place them somewhere so that they hear you talk. Talk to them and when they do give them treats like a piece of chocolate or fruit. Note that not all species of parrots can talk. You'd want to get your birds intimated to you before you make them talk. It's a long process and takes even months to make them speak first few words. Then they become fluent!

  • @solobirds they do have mirrors, they sometimes just scream like in the wild. HOw come my female sometimes chases my male around the cage, and they never go in the nest box.

  • "Hi baby. What's the matter~? Come'mer. *KissKissKissKiss*"

He talks sweeter than my ex.

  • Ringnecks have really cute voices...really quite distinct hehe :) I love it when he says "Good boy, yes, good boy" hehe ;D

  • How amazing are parrots? They can learn human, I mean wtf

  • Wow!!! I just got mine from a man who dent want him because he didn't talk.. His name is Neeko and he's very scared and anti social.. I can't wait until I can do this to him.. Any pointers? And also.. How can I find out his age?

  • @thawumami I have a Quaker parrot, ad I know all birds are not the same. Thing is my lil birdie was abused and was very untrusting of humans. Its not that he's antisocial its just that he doesn't trust you. What i did to get him the lil loving bird is let him know that he could trust me. I'd give him food, like apples and bannanas through his cage, or just talk to him. Another thing i did was let my hand rest near or around the cage.

  • @thawumami what is did to get him to trust me* And to find out his age would be to take him to a vet. He needs to be checked out anyway. Once he trusts you'll he'll start talking and let you scritch him. ^.^

  • love it

  • Epic talking birdy! :D lmao at 0:33

    so epic.

  • u have 2 be alot of time for them birds my bird had one named taylor that was nice 2 the boys in the family but mean 2 the girls the bird looked like he took off the house on how evil he was.. but they r very smart but they do no wat payback is..lol

  • he said whats the matter at 2:00

  • cold beer?

  • I want a talking bird!

  • 1:33 what a baby?

  • archimedes, nooooo

  • at 1:30 he kisses the wall XD

  • "Whats the matter?" "Kiss noises." "I know. Come here." "Oh that feels good, come here. Whats the matter huh?" "Hi baby, huh?" "Good boy, yes, good boy. yes."

    awww

  • N'aww, that's so cute. My ringneck never let me pet him like that.

  • was that parrot in the room with you guys when you had sex?

  • When he/she says those words, sometimes I have the feeling he/she is talking Russian:-))))))

  • Look at her/his eyes! I think it shows the level of his/her enjoyment....she completely enjoys being caressed.-)))))))

  • Are female parrots able to talk? Somebody told me that only male parrots have the ability to talk. This same person told me that if parrots live in pairs, they'll soon forget how to talk and wont say a word anymore...only to the other parrot....are these true?

  • @wannaknowit Nope, bot male and female parrots can talk and though some parrots will become somewhat antisocial towards humans if they live with other parrots, they do still have the ability to talk. Parrots thrive on attention so as long as they feel enough attention reward from their human when they speak they will gladly talk.

  • @guiltfreemistress

oh thanks a lot for the information,I did not know that females are too able to talk....this birdie is very exuberant......thanks a lot!:)))))))

  • The parrot sounds like a pedo at first

  • LOL

    OH GOOD YEAHYEAH

  • does anyone have an idea where to get one of these birds???? plz help me out because i am trying to find one on google but they pop up as 'breeding birds' and i only want them as a pet to pet and hold in my hand.... plz send me a private message with the website or stuff like that. thank you

  • Are they loud birds even when they are living alone in a cage?

  • That's amazing man x

  • Can anyone help me? I have got my IRN to take a seed off my finger from being terrified of me. What should I do next?

  • how many birds do you own?

  • you are one great owner.

  • this ia a male, all males have red rings females have light green or blue rings.

  • @DeathMetalShredd666 Where did you hear that? Whoever told you that is a complete idiot.

  • @Fatluigi99 Pssst.... don't feed the troll.

  • @Fatluigi99 yeah males hae BLACK rings round thier neck females either have NO rings or very faint ones.

  • Has anyone told you you sound like Seth Green?

  • @coolcat33333 he totally does, thats so cool.

  • My ringneck, Morgan, loves this video. Whenever I take him to the pet store, he always seems genuinely disappointed that the birds there don't speak "people."

  • Maybe I could see it if you could remove your hand of his face.

    BTW. I love the parrot.

  • so cute !

  • dumb ass bird

  • @crazycagada At least he knows how to talk, unlike you.

  • @MegaJagveer i guess

  • I bet he learned 'good boy' without you teaching him, he must have heard you praising him alot and than took it over! Such a nice daddy!

  • dude, is he a slave driver? he's calling YOU "good boy." lol

  • @guthixbox381 Yes he looks just like a slave driver

  • @guthixbox381 the only reason the bird did that is because birds and any animals including us have an ability to Mimic other thing haha

  • He should apply for a job in CallCenter.

  • i heard.... whats the matter huuuhhh??? hey baby hhuuhhh...good boy yes good boy....oh baby come he lololololol this is funny :)

  • wow nice one dude! how did you get it so friendly to handling? ours dislikes being near fingers at the best of times...

  • lovely!!!!!

  • beautiful bird!!!!

  • 0:10 Dialogue:

  • So lovely ^_^

  • that's cold beer at :30

  • ooohhhhh yeah! good boy.....oh thats good whats the matter?

  • ooohhhhh yeah! good boy.....

  • I love these!

We bought a female adult ringneck a few weeks ago that had her bonded mate sold separately, sadly They were not breeders but just a bonded pair.

She is quite vicious understandably, & we doubt if she can be tamed after reading the temperament of the female IRNs. She bit the toe of one of my Amazons when they were trying to feed her.

Wondering if we should get her another IRN male but worried after reading that the females can kill the male IRN's.

    Anyone with IRN's experience this?

  • @sue345sue It depends on how old she is. If she's an adolescent she's most likely just having her teenage mood swing years, which all ringnecks have. That's when they're ESPECIALLY evil. Don't give up on her now, just learn to respect her.

  • beautiful bird. such pretty color.

  • r u a rapist 2 that bird

  • 1:07 lol aw too precious

  • i cant get mii indian ringneck to talk.. hes a boy and hes nearly a year old.. hes super tame but he doesnt wanna talk. he can kiss and make those noices but he wont talk.. whats the secret?

  • are you part Indian?

  • HELP! i dont know if my parrot is an indina ring neck or an alexandrian! how can i tell the differnce

  • @princessbetterthanU if ur parrot have red mark on his/her shoulder then its an alexanderine, if not, its an indian ringneck.

  • @FEARfromGOD oh, thank you. mines is an alexandrian. but its odd since my parrot only responds to indian ring neck videos, and not alexandrian ones

  • @princessbetterthanU First off, the size, Alexandrines are much bigger, especially the head and beak and make a different noise, their ring is more wide spread and their feathers are slightly darker and more colourful on the wings

An Indian Ringneck is what you are watching right now, go search for some pictures, you'll immediately tell the differences, be careful, there's the possibility that your bird is a hybrid of both species.

  • @CassiaBlueLava hmmm, maybe mines is hybrid wit all tis info. mines has the neck and beak of an indian ring neck and the rest of an alexandrian

  • 00:43 Yeah baby lol!!

  • adorable!! Trying to teach ours to talk he is 8 mos old..

  • OMG stop doing this to this parrot you made holes in it

  • @SeXyThING357 They already had it .

  • Great bird. Makes me want one. When I had a cockatiel, Spike did say one word, "water." he used it a lot when his bowl needed water, when I let him drink from the bathroom sink, or after his making out with my hand once... Cracked me up. Spike was a horny bird!

  • I agree with birdlady....All I can think is...AWWWWWW

  • 'Scratch that back, foo' :3

  • you just got to be nice to it but also just kind of force it to be social, even if it bites just move into the bites (take it!) and hold it and pet it and shit...

  • add green chilli in his food.

  • cute!

  • soooooooo cuteeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • he must love that back rubb :)

    he's adorable ! :D

  • HE'S SOOOO CUTE!!

mine wont let me touch it yet.

but u started handtaming it, first with a towel, and now with my hands (and sleeves if necessary.)

but i think mine's shy; it always hides behind my head when its on my shoulder. :S

  • You're birds are so adorable!

  • where can i get a ringneck frm?

  • Wow he is AWESOME! I just got a ringneck today. My 6th bird now. She looks like him, but w/o the ring since she is still a baby. I hope she will learn to talk like yours. (no I don't know if she is a girl. Just acts like it) I want to see more of your bird for sure!

  • I usually just chase my ringneck around the house until I have him in the right spot, then I grab him and hold him. Sometimes he hangs right there and lets me pat him, but on others he climbs up to my shoulder and takes off. In that instance I let him head back to his cage.

At least he's getting his exercise.

  • He has such a cute voice!

  • I have a question how do you train them to talk

  • Judging by what the bird is saying he automatically repeats what the owner says.

  • you just keep saying the same things over to them =)

  • He's so cute! What a happy parrot :D

  • my rigngneck is trained to come to my hand! He bites any other peoples hand though.

  • I have a indian ringneck too. When do they start talking normally? He's like a year old now. He seems really scared and terrified of me. plz help!

  • You just have to keep spending time with him and keep giving hime treats when you pick him up or go near him and talk to him all the time they love attention. Also you can start touching him more if you curl fist under you wrist so the skin in tight and he try and bite you but he wont be able to grab anything and slowly you'll be able to sneek a pat in, then he'll realise he likes it.
