  • what trans?

  • you should race a gt5000

  • Do you mind telling us the compression ratio? That Mustang is putting down good numbers.

  • @elr456 ford.com prolly has your answer

  • holy shit thats like 650 at the fly and someone said these motors dont get anything from boost

  • is this setup safe for engine life?

  • Hey man great car, Automatic or Manual?

  • damn that blower sounds awesome under full load like that. there just aint nuthin like a whipple.

  • so whats the best S/C to get? the procharger, KB and Whipple all make awesome power...but damn the procharger lacks the S/C whine that everyone loves!

  • so is this the tuner kit or 525/625 kit?

  • Wow IMO the tuner here sucks....he is running WAY too low timing down low. The motor is struggling on the lowerend....the very apparent by the anemic torque numbers. Take the car to someone else, you will gain 100 ft/lb in torque....your WAY off where you should be. Peak HP is pretty good.

  • @04gtstang 4vs have always had lower torque...what are you saying?

  • @ADD8oi My 03 cobra makes 518RWHP and 534RWTQ, I dont think that blanket statement applies...although with these new engines, who knows. Im just saying that the torque seems very low...I mean its only 100 ft/lb over stock RWTQ numbers. It could just be the type dyno...just seems very low to me.

  • @04gtstang the difference is that these new 5.0s are high rpm engines, more in tune with european sports car engines as opposed to the torque monsters than american engines are, which is a shame but hey, it works, turbo applications as well as nitrous get massive torque and hp

  • @04gtstang

ur cobra is still shit compared to this

  • @MrIlovebmw86 Yet another internet tough guy with no car and no videos uploaded on their channel.

Look, I also have a 04GT that puts down 640/617, so can it...I didnt put my cobra numbers up to act like im better than anyone, I put them up to address the statement that all 4Vs have low torque.

Maybe its just the engine design or a crazy easy going tune...in anycase, your comment was very childish and added zero value to the topic.

  • @04gtstang High Torque at low RPM's is what damages engines, its entirely possibly they're just going with a conservative setup so reliability isnt sacrificed?

  • @voltwings Wrong. The torque produced at low rpm won't hurt a thing, but rather, too much ignition lead under load, at low speed, and/or poor fuel with a lean ratio is what will fuck things up.

  • @madtownmadman i think we're saying the same thing just two different ways, what you described is how pistons get grenaded, and what i described more or less is when a rod gets bent. not saying either of us is right or wrong, just clarifying.

  • @voltwings True

  • Very awesome Mustang! Sounds like it's in need of some thump through that exhaust.. Are you planning to throw in some cams?

  • damn, go ahead and throw that new 4.0 whipple on there if they have it for it!!!!!

  • Whats the bore and stroke on these new 5.0s?

  • @irvinemuscles This tune is NOT ultra aggressive. It's not even aggressive. This is a custom tune by Torq. The stock whipple/FRPP tune that came with the kit made about 480rwhp, so it's far, far from aggressive. AFRs in the custom tune are very safe. I'd recommend contacting the tuner for more information (TorqSpeedlab) before you decide to make wild assumptions about the nature of a tune.

  • @mustang50driver Yeah, but does Whipple or anyone else offer a 3 year 36k warranty on entire Powertrain and Differential. I highly doubt it. My 5.0 puts out about 470rwhp with Roush warrantied 5.0 tune, and if anything breaks, Roush covers it. Damn good insurance if you ask me.

  • @mustang50driver I can easily have a custom dynotuner make me 550rwhp on my Roush SC 5.0. But it will void my 3year 36k warranty, so that's why I don't do it. Plus I doubt the 5.0 stock motor will last long at 550rwhp. Maybe 20k miles max. Sean Hyland says the 5.0 motor can handle up to 600hp crank safely and last. Anything over 600 crank hp and you're living on borrowed time, according to Sean Hyland.

  • I really wish I could afford to get a new 5.0, that's just sick power at 8.5lbs!!

  • @wldwst22 wait a year and youll be able to pick of some used ones for cheap!

  • Driveability is same as stock, except for tons of extra power. No overheating issues whatsoever. Trips are a non-issue, jump in the car and go. In fact, hwy mileage for cruising is around 26 mpg.

  • What is the driveability like with this system and tune ? is it streetable, can you drive it without overheating issues, can it be taken on trips with this setup? Any info you could give would be appreciated. How much did it cost to get it installed by a ford dealer?

  • WOW, As this thing was revving my hair on my arms started raising and my i had a grin on my face , by the time it reached 7300 rpm the hair on my arms was straight up and i was smiling from ear to ear , i don't think ive ever heard a more intimdating sound in my Life, Absolutely the sweetest, meanest Awesomist if there is such a word ive ever heard. period. I cannot wait to get this on my 2011 GT.

  • Wow nice.. keeps pulling to redline I bet with some more revs and up the boost to 10psi this thing could push over 590 maybe hit 600..

  • More left in there.. thing keeps pulling to redline.. wonder what it do with 10psi

  • 8 lbs of boost. Only the 525 hp kit has a 12 month warranty if installed by a Ford dealership. The 625 kit (this one) is not warranted.

  • Wow how many pounds of boost are you running. I was checking out the ford website and they sold these kits for 7200 a bit pricy but doesn't it keep you factory if its installed by a dealer.

  • fuck FORD for stopping the 5.0 in the early 90s. The 2005 mustang shoulda been a 5.0 and 2010 should be 5.4 liter.

  • were any internals changed at all or anyting? are the 5.0 engines capable to hold this much power for a long time and be reliable or is it to early to know this info yet?

  • @nickt916 as long as you keep the boost below 8psi it should be fine for the length of the warrantee. I would recomend going with a 6psi setup if your looking for longevity. Depending on the size of your blower it should net you between 490 and 550RWHP if your going to go beyond that i would always recomend beefing up the internals. And while your in there the cams could be bumped up a bit too.

  • @DaBluedude100 Roush warranty's their new kit at 7psi for 3 years and 36k miles. 7psi fine for longevity. Kit puts down 460rwhp.

  • @irvinemuscles Good info. I'm not often impressed with roushs power adders. Somehow they seem to underachieve. They do make a great overall package tho. With a bigger blower and good tuning I think you could see 500rwhp at 6~8lbs pretty easily.

  • @DaBluedude100, i agree, roush is always on the low end for power with their supercharger kits. 500whp from a roush or 550+whp from a whipple or kb, and for the same price almost hehe

  • @praetorian2150 Thats because Roush warranty's their kits with super conservative tunes. I have a 3year 36k warranty on my Roush charged 5.0. This whipple tune is ultra aggressive and no one witl warranty such a tune cause something could blow. EVo performance has Roush kit and they are making same as this Whipple. It's not only boost, it's all about the tune too. Don't keep thinking boost all the time. Do your research Jack before you know what the hell you're talking about..

  • @irvinemuscles, do my research? you just backed up everything i said lmao

  • @irvinemuscles i have never liked roush tunes, just my view but they aren't enough! My buddy owns the new 5XR...and YES its a beast and YES its overpriced but i feel like he could get so much more out it with a different tune other than roush!

  • @2010BlownGT He could get more, but it will void his warranty. Yeah, he can prolly make 500-520rwhp with more aggressive tune, but zero warranty if something breaks, and something always eventually breaks when you're talking 550hp cars.

  • @2010BlownGT How much did he pay for 5xr. Yeah, the Roush tune is ultra conservative, but it still makes killer power, and damn good warranty.

  • Car made 583 rwhp and 480 rwtq on a DynoJet

  • The numbers these stock internal 5.0's are putting down with a little boost is mind boggling. Just ten years ago laying down over 500 horse at the rear wheels by just bolting on a turbo or supercharger would have been a pipe dream.

  • This is the 2.3L

  • Nice car. Moderate HP if it is the new 2.9L Whipple. Pretty good if it is the Gen II 2.3L

I sure wish that more technical info was supplied. Has the lower been changed and what size upper was used. And most important, what size blower. And what AF did you tune it to?

  • What lowering kit is on this car?

  • Comment removed

  • OMG that is sick HP at the real wheels. Proly making 600+ at the crank. Now get some exhaust mods on there and let here breathe better.

  • @texasbradley She has the Kooks LT's already, with cat-delete pipes. More mods are to come!

  • @TorqSpeedlab i bet she is loud as fuck

  • you know, this might be the first time i stick a supercharger on one of my cars. after the warranty is up.

  • track numbers

  • awesome results. what gears?

  • @praetorian2150 Stock gears, 3.73's
