ok so i have a flip camara and the flipshare editor is really bad.. so i uploaded everything i recorded,, in windows live movie maker and edit it............once i save it and upload iy onto youtube its not HD someone PLEASE PLEASE help :'( D:

One day, Microsoft will produce a version of Movie Maker that works with camcorders. How blinking stupid is it to have editing software that doesn't work with ANY kind of camera that shoots video? Ridiculous.

I've tried this cheat before, and it works. Although, sometimes, the videos get meeses up while they import from flipshare to windows movie maker.

i did that but it says it does not support the file type, and it does not let me put quicktime videos on movie maker, and when i try to drag it over, a little circle with a dash comes up on the video? what do i do, cause i might just have to take my flip back but i dont want to?

I have WMM7 ... you can transfer the video and edit but the end result is that it is not compatible with HD and will shrink the video

I have the same issue. Getting video into editer is fine if no talking but voice don't match. Have you figured it out yet?

Well, to reply to both, I still have to (now) convert the videos using Any Video Converter, to even get them onto Movie Maker. I've found a few temporary solutions to getting them to match up the words and video, and of how to get them to Movie Maker, but they never stick. I'm still looking into these problems though.

Yes, I've noticed with the new FlipShare software update, much of the time it won't work now.  If I come up with a solution I will let you know! Though it is very flustering because some things accept MP4, but nearly ALL things accept WMM. Why PureDigital doesn't understand this, I wish I knew!!!

Right. The ScottMills idea works for the non-HD versions of the Flip, which put out a version of .avi files that WMM doesn't grok (i.e., 3ivx)

Are you talking about Flip Mino-HD? I don't believe it uses 3ivx. (The Flip Mino does, right?) We're talking about .mp4 files, here.

another way to do this,particularly for xp users where your method wouldn't work, is to connect your flip to the pc, find the flipvideo drive, open the systems folder then click install. run 3ivx_d4_451_win.exe. then you can import your video into wmm as usual.

Hopefully, you'll see my video response. It shows me dragging .mp4 files directly from my hard drive to WMM (again, with the right version of Vista and WMM.) If you join FlipInFocus, I provide another strategy, which involves downloading a FlipShare modification I created, so you can export from FlipShare as wmv, but in full 1280x720 resolution. Then you can edit in full res in WMM. (There are many other benefits to joining, and it's cheap.)

The USB drive isn't needed. Export the video, just as you did, to your hard drive and you can drag it from there into Windows Movie Maker.

This only works for folks who have Vista, and the version of Vista that has WMM pre-installed. Otherwise, you need another trick that the FlipInFocus channel provides.

Thanks for commenting. I know this works, but I have Vista and when I put the videos onto my external hard drive, I have to convert it to WMM first. Any ideas?
