although they say to tie to 1 strand, i find it lasts longer if u tie it to 3 to 5 strands.

I did shampoo & condition plus blow dry my hair with like 5 of them in. I added more later on. They are supposed to last 2-4 weeks went installed properly. They will stay in until the hair falls out ;) You basically tie each flair onto ONE hair strand.

All piercings are painful to some extent. Depends on your personal tolerance to pain ;) But when you get it done professionally, it will be done & over before you even realize it hurts!
