  • The choreography to this hula is too busy especially for hula ʻauana. What were the duck walks all about? This mele is a sad song about Queen Kapiʻolani’s love for King Kalākaua’s journey away on his world tour. When your hula is too busy – it takes away from its true meaning. In this case it was all about show and not of any consequence to the lyrics of the mele. The Kumu should do their homework and find out what the song is about before making any choreographical moves!

  • Wow. Very beautiful.

The song and dance , make my heart full of the thankfulness to Our Great God. He has given us so much beauty and love. It fills my heart and helps me to remember , we are physical and spiritual , and we should always try to bring as much love and truth to each moment of our lives. This transcends to all peoples -3

and makes all our lives meaningful .

    Shalom-
