  • Like this if you remembered call of duty world at war

  • Good movie but whats up with the voice, ruins everything.

  • @virreee94 Sounds like it could be the old man's actual voice. Some of those older guys get pretty gruff as time goes on.

  • My late Uncle fought on Peleliu. He died fighting the JAPS,on Peliliu!!

  • Semper Fi Marines. Much love from a family member

  • my uncle fought here...

  • Not to take away from this sobering account, but at 4:29 those are actually 3rd Div. Canadians in Normandy.

    Cheers.

  • This is outstanding. Nothing like hearing it from a first-person view. Many thanks for posting this series.

  • No Better Friend, No Worse Enemy

  • My uncle (whom just died) fought here with the US army, saw Gen McArther during the Phillipines campaign...RIP uncle BUD

  • JAPAN

  • What do we have here?

A great novels foundation,a very interesting faction taking place at an outstanding spot of the WWIIs pacific campaign.

    And THEN???!!:

-weird clips of different WWIIs-even WWIs - theaters thrown in one pot;mixed up with animated scenes and cartoons like i a childrens early noon tv programme at ear deafening volume, too!The viewer isnt a child, the story gets ruined by that way of narration! Though the story is great - the presentation is unprofessional ! Work it over !!

  • 6:53

The picture of the 'Asian' at that point is actually a Korean who was captures by the Allies on D-Day in Europe. If you look carefully, he's wearing German uniform. He was initially drafted into Japanese army, captured by Russia, and than captured by German. The Germans put him on the beach where he was captured.

    Thought you'd want to know.

  • Wow, that was pretty frightening, esp when narrated by the marine now years later.

  • my grandfather landed on Peleliu.

7th Marines under Hanneken. He has explained, to the best of his ability, the sheer terror and horror of the assault.

God bless the Coprs and all their sacrifice in the Pacific.

much respect to all other vets in all theaters.

  • Semper Fi--They were and still are "the Greatest Generation."

  • what dose that mean?? semper fie

  • Semper Fidelis is Latin for "Always Faithful."

  • bless ur father for having survived the hell of some of the most bloody battles of the Pacific War; Guadalcanal, Peleliu, Okinawa.

  • was he infantry?? how do you survive omg

  • I find it hard to believe that the "greatest generation" could give birth to the worst.

  • What did you say? Who fought and died in

  • @SecretSponge You are full of shit what generation fought and stopped a immoral war. Landed on the moon average age 26Created the best RR the world has ever heard. Bill Gates - Jobs - Stopped Hussein. I could go on for ever.

  • I have respect for him fighting in that battle. The Pacific is the unsung theatre, so neglected in favour of the more glorious open warfare of the European Theatre. Respect to our vets

  • Its hard to tell if this is a real vet talking or not, if you are, then great, if your not...well I don't know what to say.

  • Thank you for your service.Hey if your a kid, buy CoD World at War, it has the battle of peleliu with the first marine div. Just a thought...

  • I'm not a kid, but I'll have to check it out. My son might know about it.

  • its nothing like the real battle, although its a good game. more shoot 'em up than a history lesson.

  • Well the map looks exactly as it did for real, but for real it wasn't that easy.

  • This makes it interesting here. Thnx.

  • Wow, what an incredible story, keep them coming!!
