  • very simple sheaaait!!! haa!!

  • Thanks alot!!! :-D

  • hey on the mpc can u take the instruments out of a song so it jus leaves the music & the vocals

  • a how do u chop and screw on audacity on the recent version

  • To edit samples quickly on an MPC hold shift and use the note variation slider to select the area you want to edit.

  • bro...appreciate it, but um, someone im in audio engineering school with told me they take for instance an oldies song, put it in audacity take pieces chop em, and loop em and then i guess render them or some how make a folder for all the pieces they chopped..how is that done, i hope i havnt asked too soon seeing how im watching this vid as i type this, so hopefully i hear you talk about it in a minute, if not bless me wit some info..lol

  • is there a way to remove the voice from the sample that I choose?

  • @dotbadburn yeah you have to make an acapella of the track first then save it as an mp3 file then follow his steps

  • Cool Video....But I thing an MPD and FLStudio would work waaaay better for your type of workflow.

  • im using a turtle beach x11 to record so its not my mic but when i record my voice over a beat, my voice keeps cutting in and out and i dont know why, can someone help me?

  • BAM!!! PLEASE PEOPLE, DONT DO DRUGS!!!

  • thanks bro

  • how can i right click on my mpc?, lol nah men jk. good tutorial bro.

  • Man, thanks for doing this. This helped me get chop it up right quick and I didn't know jack about Audacity. Easy as pie. Saves me mad time choppin' on the MPC.

  • Can you do this with an MPD26?

  • Can you do this with an MPD26???

  • dude thanx major help, can u load chops into a mpd like that?

  • @ShortBrownMC nah men. u cant load samples into mpd cus is a midi controller.

it depends what you are using if u use Fl studio for example then u will use Fpc, or

any vst sampler like sampla, beat thang, furu, bmp guru, ect. to load your samples in and use the mpd to trigger your samples. peace.

  • down and dirty baby

  • BAMM!!

  • ignore the rude comments man good vid thanks for the help

  • KAGAMINE LEN ROOLES (random, much?)

  • u gotta use the cursor wheel and highlight the numbers on the left when you trim, same principle on audacity or any other hardware/software editing

  • thx man you helped me a lot.

    keep the shit up ;)

    DO IT!

  • you are a disgrace

  • O_O you're too excited !

  • Are you from Wisconsin?

  • fuck you, hatin on wisconsin - this dude could just be a moron when he talks

  • Oh, and how am I dissin Wisconsin? cuz I asked him if he was from there? I'm from WI, buddy...I recognized the accent..stupid maricon...

Next time don't jump to conclusions.

    & Fuck you too.

  • Ummm yeah.....

MPC's use WAV files, you don't need to get the MP3 converter dude.

  • Lol

the guys voice sounds douchey LOL!

  • i use logic for chopping, its fucking dope how u can chop by ear while the sample is playing back, you just press the divide hotkey and it splits the regions, then u can export them or drop em straight into the exs sampler.

  • im going to start using audacity with an MPC 500 haha so i can make beats on the bus to school lol

  • Update your mpc to JJ OS 1 or 2 and you can scroll with the data wheel alot quiker

  • :D :D

  • IS RECYCLE FREE?

  • Hell no i wish

  • what about Acid? is that program any good?

  • Get on reason and use recycle with it

  • nice brah really helped

  • USB boom! plug 'er in, very simple shit :D

  • From Canada are you aye>?

  • You Need to convert to Goldwave.. its miles better than Audacity and its free

  • Thanks Bro! This vid helped me out alot! I was trying to figure this shit out for a minute! peace

  • Great vid cuzzin, Audacity is a bitch if your new to it. lots of help wit this vid. thanks again

  • Great video yo..helped alot

  • holy crap i can't do anything with this program... i am using Mp3 files, i drag them into Audacity, i highlight the bit i want and i cant cut, export or do FUCKING ANYTHING im so pissed off and pray for enlightenment - is there anything i'm doing wrong?

  • google it u will find out

  • yeah its okay i figured it out i've made about 3 boards for beatmaker on my ipod : )

  • Hey how do you pass your own kits to beatmaker

  • download a program called switch sound file converter and change that mp3 into a wav. file then put it in audacity hope this helps

  • You have to press stop before doin something, i don't know if this is the problem, but this happened to me, then i realized i had to stop it not to pause it to put effects.

  • yeah i figured it out 3 months ago but thanks anyway lol

  • lmao

  • This method really takes forever.

If you're familiar with Sound Forge and FL Studio you could set up markers on SF then export the regions using Edison on FLS. Like this you get all your chops done in a very small amount of time. Like this you could spend more time bangin' at them on your MPC! =P

Audacity is cool, but I like using FL Slicer/Edison & Sound Forge, there's a lot of settings to mess around with on both.

  • bam usb and you dont even see it lol

  • hell yeah. i been using audacity for awhile and i endorse it 100 percent brotha. stay up.

  • a quicker way to set your start/end point on the mpc (what i do) I use the q-link...when you're on the sample screen, press and hold the after button and slide the q-link and you'll see it highlight the sample, after that, you do what u need to do

  • Do you know how to do it FL Studio?

  • Really helpful and super informative. The that shit up man. Peace.

  • everytime i try to move the folder to the removable disk E it keeps saying

Please insert a disk into drive E

what am i doin wrong someone help plz

  • why would you try to move a folder to disk drive E?

are you trying to burn a cd?

  • o well no lemme explain i plug the USB up to the MPC 1000 with the flashcard in and everything set up correctly then i go to My Computer and Disk Drive E is there. So i thought that you just put the song folder u chopped in there, but if thats not right can u tell me what i hav to do please so i can get samples on MPC 1000

  • try it though Disk (J:)

  • I can do this also with akai mpd24 ???or only with mpc1000?

  • what cords are plugged into your computer? midi or scsi?

  • yea, if you just get the 1st free program of the jjos for the mpc, it will def speed up your data wheel slices

  • I use audacity for my MV projects... But with MPC-1000 I just chop in ReCycle, save as AKP format, import to BlueBox, and save as PGM... real easy

  • man, Joe. you cut straight to the point. I've excavated the Internet for this shit. Turned it inside out..ducked and dodged and read the MPC theory..this shit broke it down to the root.

Fuck the haters, keep doing your thing.

  • what file format do you need to make your samples because my mpc says they are the wrong format thanks

  • .WAV format. Read your manual.

  • so if you had a mpc 2000 i guess you would drag the samples to the floppy drive?

  • props! thanks!

  • REAL SIMPLE SHIT! BAM! thanks for the info

  • Audacity is the shit! I use it for my podcast, it's rated higher than actual podcast editing software! Anyhoo, nice tutorial

  • Thanks man good info...

  • wow i want an mpc. i saw one the other day on a vid for linkin park

  • hey whats up!tell me, can i sample a music into the fl programme without a mpc? what programme should i use to do that?

  • yo bro i have audacity too man i need to know how to reocrd clearly with my cuz the whole track sounds too freekin loud can u tell what to do? holla back

  • your master volume on your mpc may be too loud

  • lol man i feel like a real dumbass now lol thanx a bunch man.

  • jesus this fucking guy talks so much rediculus uneeded shit - I'm out !

  • nice taste in music

  • You can set the start and end points of a sample with the q link sliders. its alot easier than using the data wheel

  • hey can u do this with the akai mpc500?

  • i haven't used the 500 but im pretty sure you can do the same wit the 500

  • i own a 500 and yes you can!

  • nice and thanks a million I will try this pgm

  • On your MPC, you can use the Q-Link sliders instead of the jog wheel, you can get to your chops points quicker...when you go into your sampled track on the MPC Press the button at the same time where it says After on Q1 and move your slider to cut your first sample from beginning to end and the use the other slider to come from the end to beginning...Does your MPC lock up when you plug it in USB?

  • damn....dope vid...butttt to much work with that program...recycle is really the shit for chopping...you can concentrate more on the shit you want to cut, no time lost with the copy/paste drama...

  • how do i link my mpc 1000 to audacity so audacity will play what my mpc will play

  • use recycle its made just for chopping and sampling, 1 million times more easy. just export as wav and your done

  • yea but i dont be gettin that shit,i heard its 1000x's easier but fuk i cant figure it out

  • Audacity FTW! I use it still to this day.

  • guy u need jjos u using akai os thats when it goes slow with the data wheel

  • yea i use audacity to make rave beats and stuff you can download drum samples with just the sound

  • yo man, thats hot...but 1 thing.....U GOT A MPC,u can do all that stuff that you do in audacity on the mpc...but i feel tho..watever your comfortable wit..

im usin audacity rite now but im wantin the mpc everyday...

    peace

  • how do u chop a sample on a MPD 24

  • dont know man sorry

  • The mpd 16, 24, and 32 are midi controllers, and not sampler/sequencers like the mpc series.

  • but i saw people on youtube with MPD 24's making beats or freestyling on their MPD 24 and it was like songs dat were chopped and vocals

  • you dont... an mpd is a more a controller that triggers samples on your pc. (so if you use fruityloops for example, rather than 'map out sounds' using a computer mouse you can assign sounds to your mpd pads) you can use the software shown in this vid or something else like cool edit pro or soundforge etc to chop your samples up, then use the software and usb cable included with your mpd to transfer your chopped samples to sequencing software (e.g fruityloops) from your computer. hope that helps!

  • @7sheldon7

the same way you see here

  • does anybody know any sites where i can get the LAME file so i can save an audio clip as an mp3?

  • google LAME

  • r the sites safe

  • cool edit pro is more comfortable : )

  • pretty good info homie

  • NO JOKE AUDACITY IS FREAKIN AWESOME!! the recording quality can be set higher than adobe soundbooth which is insane!

  • hey try this, instead of all that copy and paste just hit export selection as wav and it cuts it out and saves it with out deleting it. it only exports the highlighted selection, try it out

  • thanks that is much easier

  • ayo i was wondering y wen i record to audacity the bass is way to high how do u turn down tha bass in tha mpc

  • JJ OS for the MPC 1000...get it, and get to chopping.

  • thanks

  • chopping a sample on the mpc is easy. try using the "shift + slider" method. im not sure if it applies to the 1000 but it works well with the 2000xl. its much more faster that using the data wheel.

  • i tried that but it didnt seem to do anything for me thanks for trying to help
