I watched a documentary on fireworks, and it's really interesting how they do this. they can take the things that catch on fire and place them in shapes rather than in a big clump together like with regular fireworks. they should do it more often, it's so freaking cool!

1 Smiley face firework comes from inside a single rocket shell not from many. They have been programmed inside a single rocket shell. This has nothing to do with how they are arranged on the ground . Other fireworks are arranged on the ground but each smiley comes from a single rocket not from many...

these shells only work well when lots of them are fired at once like this, as at least half of them break at the wrong angle to the audiebce so the effect is wasted!

Yeah, smiley faces are the next big thing in fireworks. It's pretty interesting stuff. I think recently there was a giant firework that went off in the shape of the queen's head (as seen on coins). I'm still trying to find the footage of it
