  • lol. that kiss. Daniel's awesome

  • Nickelback is awful

  • no playing... not acceptable

  • Nickelback is shit

  • @axedstoninst yes but daniel is not. hes a freaking beast.

  • @zzzzzushi Yeah, he is actually pretty damn good, sad he is in a horrible band

  • @axedstoninst i still have the drummer world magazine issue with him on the cover. he said hes in this band to make money and in martone to make music and have fun. :)

  • @zzzzzushi Lol. Nickelback isn't shit actually. It's annoying that everyone claims they are.

  • @axedstoninst Incorrect. You are your little friends are uneducated little bitches lololol.

  • @XxStrongDrums1996xX Incorrect, you are an over opinionated douche with no musical taste.

  • @axedstoninst Lol, liking a band does not make me over opinionated. The fact that I have different musical taste than you doesn't mean anything. I understand if you don't like Nickelback, but saying they suck is uneducated.

  • @XxStrongDrums1996xX No, liking a band and trying to force it down others throats after they have stated theirs is opinionated, and i beg to differ, Nickelback is legitimately a HORRIBLE band, Chad Kroeger is horrible, his lyrics suck, and his voice sounds like eddie vedder and the lead singer of creed sodomizing each other. Now, what bands do you know of that have had petitions signed to keep them from playing at the super bowl. And getting booed off stage and having rocks thrown at them?

  • @axedstoninst You are correct that one who shoves it down others throats is opinionated; good thing that's not what I'm doing. I'm simply telling you that you made an uneducated statement. As far as your statements about Nickelback. First off, Chad Kroeger actually has a really great voice. If you actually paid attention to the music then you'd realize that. I understand that his lyrics have progressively gotten more cheesy over the years, but I am still a fan. I don't listen for lyrics.

  • @axedstoninst Second, the fact that all that shit went down at the Superbowl means nothing. All it proves is that a number of people in one place at one time were uneducated and clearly didn't know jack shit about music. Nickelback is in fact a great band, and by saying they suck you prove yourself as a douchebag without any comprehension skills. I'm done wasting my time on someone who has such a low level of education in the area of music. Your are a disgrace.

  • @axedstoninst Ok, listen. I just looked on your channel and I've got a little more respect for you because you have a great taste in music. Nickelback is going mainstream, I'll give you that much, but their older stuff kicked some really hard ass, and you can't deny that. Now, I want to ask you about your drums. How's that 22 X 20 bass drum sounding?

  • @XxStrongDrums1996xX Well thank you XD I also checked out your channel, digging the nightmare cover man. and the 22 sounds pretty fucking nice.

  • @axedstoninst I'm curious. I've been a little bias against those really deep kick drums for a while, but after listening to them, I've really realized the true roundness and tonality that comes from such a deep drum. How's the low end?

  • @XxStrongDrums1996xX It's actually pretty nice, great low end and an un believable punch. Especially on my gresch kit because the softer mahogany gives it a deeper warmer sound.

  • I think Daniel used to play a Pearl kit if I'm not mistaken.

  • enough ass kissing and brand pandering how about you actually play something worthy of DW Drums?! ...

Oh That's right.. you can't, you're in Nickelback... we've all seen the pre-rehearsed solo that's on youtube.

This is the same manufacturer who spelt Jimmy Chamberlin wrong on their own videos...

Methinks there is a down turn in the market and buying out players is the new play.

  • @willystyles07 He's actually a really good drummer, from what I've heard from him; he doesn't show it much, but he has some serious chops when he chooses to use them. I was watching a video that was titled something like "Best metal double kick song intros", Nickelback was there beside Behemoth, Nile, and other such bands, and it wasn't out of place at all.

  • and for that youtube commercial daniel adair receives a complete set of dw drums

  • great drummer shitty drums.....

  • 3:43 "we talked about wood(s)" lmao

  • DW classics series is by far the best line of DW...in my opinion..i know it's a mater of taste, but still..

  • the 5 people that disliked this were pearl reps.

  • hes good but he doesnt deserve number 1 drummer on drummerworld the rev does cas imean he had the best style but adair is second its i think he number 1 cas of nickelback is easy to like

  • @illtaketheblame1 nickelback sucks, the rev is amazing

  • @axedstoninst u say this band suck, but that doesnt stop u from watching the video in this first place, before u decide to make stupid accusations get your own story right in the 1st place

  • @aftershockburn yes, i do say they suck, and i didnt watch it. i paused it and trolled, this guy is a disgrace and i dont know why DW wants him as an endorser, the guys an idiot.

  • @axedstoninst Have you ever actually heard the man play? Try listening to literally anything by Martone, and maybe you'll figure out why DW endorses him.

  • @bak174 its not that hes a bad drummer, its the fact that his band is aweful wanna be rock n' roll trash

  • @axedstoninst If your a popular drummer you'll get an endorsement, its not always about skill. Shit meg white is a paiste endorser.

  • @axedstoninst i agree i was tryn not to upset any nickel fans lol

  • Респект!Молочага!!!!

  • It's too bad they've priced themselves right out of the "working man's" market. I just purchased a 6 piece Tama Starclassic B/B kit (3 high/2 low) 8,10,12,14,16, 22...no snare for about 2K. The same configuration for a DW was is about 6K. They are nice drums but I really don't see or hear a 4k difference.

  • I wanna shag him!

  • wats the first song?

  • @AshtonMontgomery the song is called "Something in Your Mouth" off their album Dark Horse. Same song at the end.

  • @DrumWorkshopInc k thanks, great name haha

  • @DrumWorkshopInc when endorsed, do they get their kit for free?

  • @masterbeat04 it depends on their endorsement level. But yes, Daniel got his kit for free.

  • @DrumWorkshopInc does that mean if its a lower endorsment level, the endorser will get some kind of discount?

  • @donnyfox123 correct. lowest level is just discounted pricing. There are many levels in between. Most include at least one free kit.

  • @DrumWorkshopInc ~ Pitch Test..:lol ~ MLB aye? Love you guys..

  • Go listen to the stuff he played with Dave Martone. He's better than I thought he was. Way better.

  • when does the new kitbuilder come out

  • @JCustomZ sorry for the delayed response...it's been out since NAMM (almost a month now). dwdrums(dot)com/kitbuilder

  • Too much talking, no playing. FUCK

  • @mattiethedrummer616 hey!, look at the bright side bro, at least you get to stare at that beautiful kit there in the back :)

  • @Bubbmann- ok 1) what sort of name is Bubbmann? LOL!

and 2) if you think think that then stick your opinions up your ass and keep off the video asshole.

  • Nickelback sucks and this video doesn't help. Compare this video to the other "It's a DW" vids. I mean I can talk about what color my drumset is too and just let it sit there in the background

  • cool do you have a pearl drum set besides a dw

  • Comment removed

  • the 4/6 of the drum kits I've had, were dw, the last 4 that I've had.

  • Dear DW, why do pearl drums suck so much?????

  • What Finish is that.? i saw mike johnstons and loved it, i cnt figure it out.

  • @IchMagSechs this one is Limited Edition John Good Exotic - Natural to Candy Black Lacquer Fade over Exotic Twisted Tropical Olive with Chrome Hardware :)

  • Nickelback is horrible, but Adair seems like a cool guy.

  • put it on 1/2 speed, sounds funny as :P

  • he is probably one of the biggest sponsors that DW and Sabian have.

  • Nickelback owns! I started playing for 6 months, im buying my first drum soon, and hope to be good, I love Dw.

  • i sincerely prefer the tama superstar hyper drive feel and sound...and also the tama starclassic performer..i prefer the sound

  • Dominic Howard needs one of these videos! He is a beast.

  • First of all I love my 7 pc. DW kit, I will not ever buy another company's drums but DW.

How come you don't have the 9000 pedal for leftys?

  • @thundersnare thank you! We actually DO make a 9000 pedal for leftys. You should be able to buy/order it from any authorized DW dealer. Cheers!

  • @DrumWorkshopInc Thanks so much, I got my 9000 series LEFTY pedals and can I say...LOVE THEM!!

    DW you're the best!

  • PEARL REFERENCE

  • i want this lol but im so poor =/ lol ima sell my organs and buy this set =]

  • Omg your here too?

    No they don't pay people

    Camco never heard of them!

  • Too baD DW is the most overated drum that ever was manufactured. They copied the great Camco drum line from the shells to the lugs. In fact they bought Camco drum Co as I recall. I used to have a Camco endorsement. Camco drums shit on DW. ASk anybody that has Camco drums. Why anybody would go from Sonor to DW ? It has to be about money. Sonor shits on DW as well.

  • @drummerforreal1 Well Camco no longer exists so what's wrong with continuing a good product, and it's not like DW tried to hide the fact that they got the lug idea from camco. Don't be a hater! Everyone has their preference of drum equipment, but DW is far from overrated, I've owned Pearl and Ludwig kits and DWs are the best drums i've ever played. And NO i'm not endorsed by them AT ALL!

  • @thundersnare Nothing is wrong. But Camco drums sound better. So do Sonor. So do premiere resonators. So do premiere genistas.

  • @drummerforreal1 then I guess we'll agree to disagree. I suspect you are from europe since it seems you favor european drum companies? As drummers it's great that we have so many chioces, I just hope that you have actually sat down and played dw drums before comming to this conclusion, for I have played premier and sonor kits and still feel that dw are the best drums I've played in my 26years of professional drumminng.

  • @thundersnare couldn't have said it better ;) It takes all kinds... We're proud to carry on the Camco lugs, and we strive to make the highest quality drums and hardware possible. By all means, play what you think sounds best for you.

  • @DrumWorkshopInc Thanks so much I have my new Lefty 9000 pedals and absolutely love them!

  • @Drumworkshopinc

I think not paying your endorsers is a great idea!

You make the best sounding drums :P

  • The drums are nice, but I'd prefer the drummer. Damn that's one hot hotty. :)

  • nice guy, decent player, but nickle back ?? meh..!!!

  • it seems like people switch from sonor to dw or tama to dw

  • DW is my second fav.DW is great but im loyal to Pearl.

  • Damnit. Why are all these good drummers going with such a terrible, over rated brand? Thomas Lang switched to DW from Sonor, that was a BIG mistake. Dereck Roddy did the same thing.....oh well.

  • Is Derek Roddy using DW now ??

  • @PB0277 we are happy to report: YES! Derek Roddy Plays DW Drums :)

  • @DrumWorkshopInc lol

you're nicking all sonors best endorsees!

  • @DrumWorkshopInc WOW! Thats a lot of artists youve converted! The biggest surprise was Thomas Lang who was a huge endorser for Sonor just like Derek Roddy was! Are they both using the 9000 pedals as well?

  • @circleslammer Derek uses his own Axis A21 Signature Derek Roddy pedals.

  • @ryder187mac huh, i thought he would be using the dw9000 pedals since they are better in my opinion. thanks! (i wonder how many trolls i just fed with that statement)

  • @circleslammer A few too many as Axis are commonly considered to be top range pedals. Except that DW9000's are a completely different pedal, shortboard and chain driven as opposed to light direct drive longboard :) In the end it comes down to personal preference, and pedals really don't make a big difference, it's the drummer

  • I was considering buying dw drums until I am now aware that nickleback is being sponsored by them.

    ohh god.

  • @DarinHunsinger actually dipshit dw endorses daniel adair NOT NICKELBACK

  • i love that he is canadian

  • What finish is the kit in the background? Beautiful!

  • I know the photagrapher :))

he sold me an amazing kit!!!<33

  • After watching this the (15th?) time :P, I noticed how awesome Daniel is. Come on, how many professional players play a regular 5 piece, almost like how every body starts out :)

  • If you are a decent player.. you can play any kit ...but ....a great skinned and sounding kit bring the fucking player out in you ..for sure!

I am giving DW there new Catchphrase -

" DW - Brings the player out!" "DW - Just add ability " , DW - Find the Player within !" , DW - Release the inner drummer" , Dw - WE made the KIT ..You bring the HIT!"

  • I was lucky enough to buy one of Daniel's snare drums (long story) when he changed over to DW. I bought a Reference Series Pearl one from him and he signed it for me and was THE nicest guy and very modest and humble. He really is the nicest guy in rock.

  • D Dubs haha

  • I noticed they never say what "the previous set" is. Of course I know what Daniel was playing. Hehehe :P

  • do you give a free setup to any person you endorse?,...or are there different levels,...like say if a metaler wanted a 10 piece setup?

  • @punkrockdrummer1990 there are different levels of endorsement. We do not pay any of our endorsers (never have, never will), instead we give them drums and hardware, and/or discount pricing. Different people have different allotments. But let's say a metaler like Derek Roddy wanted a 11 piece exotic kit. We'd give it to him. ;)

    Hope that answers your question.

  • @DrumWorkshopInc What if a less famous drummer asked for a set like derek reoddy would he get it for free? Does your level of fame matter?

  • @maggotvenger94 the less famous drummer would probably have to be freakishly good ;) Odds are, if you're freakishly good, you have some level of fame. Indeed, endorsement deals are about brand exposure and therefore fame matters. But you never know, there are always exceptions...

  • @DrumWorkshopInc ok:)

    Thanks for the answer :D

  • Haha, Nickleback is not a good way of promoting a musical instrument! :S:P

  • Hey DW if i want to become a endorser do i have to be already known and famous or do i just have to be really REALLY good. (by the way i was planning on never buying a drum set that wasnt DW my whole life but for my first set i couldn't afford a dw set so right now i use pdp platinums)

  • @tameemz90 that's a great question! Being known/famous usually means you have other endorsements and a touring schedule. This helps a lot. It also helps for you to be FREAKISHLY good. But if you ARE that good, you're probably famous. If you're not famous, and THAT good, I would suggest putting together a band, make a record, play some shows, and get famous. There's always the GC Drum Off too! Thanks for your passion to play our drums. The PDP Plats are a great bang for the buck! keep plyn

  • to get a successful endorsement you just need to be able to advertise the companies equipment, everytime someone sees daniel adair play, they see he uses a DW kit, hear a DW kit, hence people wanting to buy his equipment.

  • Thanks DW! I would love to make it big one day!

    Thanks again nick.

  • Hey DW, what does it take to get an endorsement from y'all?

  • @ZackaryBratton546 basically you need to have a serious record deal, tour dates, and some other endorsements from well-known companies. Then fill out an app you can find on our website. YouTube is not allowing hyperlinks at the moment, so the way to get there is dwdrumsDOTcom then go to "Info" then "Frequently Asked Questions". There you will see under General Questions:

"How can I become an endorser?" That should get you going. Best of luck! We wish we could give free drums to all!

  • @DrumWorkshopInc THANKS!!! for responding to me you guys are awesome for answering all these questions on here NIce job

  • i would like to no his newest one and a rough price.

  • @Jcozzi89 The last kit Jose got from us was a Gold Flake Lacquer Specialty with Gold Hardware as seen in our DW Artist Wallpaper.

This price does not include the Rata Toms or Snare Drums, but includes an extra kick. Here's the sizes:

    5x8, 5x10, 6x12, 13x16, and 14x18 toms, with a 18x20 and 18x22 kick.

    [insert drumroll here.....]

MSRP (list) = $21,575 and the "Street Price" estimate is about $14,000.

This does not include any stands, pedals, cymbals. Cheers!

  • Hi DW, could you give me a rough price on daniels kit please? Thank you.

  • @1DrummerNick my pleasure! MSRP (list) is about $10,700 which translate to an estimated "street price" of $6,400. This does not include pedals and stands/rack, but does account for the Edge™ snare drum.

  • great video your a great player always love your band.please check out my video on youtube.d.w drums attic from new brunswick.please commen on it.

  • I love this dude how he plays, but i think he plays DW because dw pays him more to play their drums, just my openion, i guess is just biss : )

  • indeed

  • actually, DW does not, and never has, paid any of our endorsers to play our drums. We do give them free stuff, but not a dollar.

They play them because they like how they sound.

    (careful...supper hokey motto coming)

    That's why we are "The Drummer's Choice®"

    muahahaha ;)

  • do you know does daniel use all sabian symbols?

  • Comment removed

  • hey dw is there any way you guys could give me specs like sizes and the shell type and all that stuff of jose pasillas kit i love the sound from it THANK YOU SO MUCH IM GONNA ORDER MY NEW KIT FROM YOU GUYS SOON THANKS!!!!

  • hi there, we'd be happy to, but Jose has a collection of kits. Is there any specific kit you are referring to? Or are you just looking for the most recent one he's gotten from us? We're excited to make your kit for ya!

  • I've had my Pearl forum series kit for a year and some months now as my first kit i've gotten a lot better and prob in a year or so i'll look into a new kit and im thinking DW or Truth

  • HE HAS A WIFE :@

  • sellout

  • i wish he would take his glasses off so i can see his beautiful eyes.

  • Hey DW, I know that Jen Ledger of Skillet is endorsed by you guys and I the love the sound of her gold colored snare she uses live. Do you think you could give me what the size and stuff is cause I love the sound of it and would like to find one like it... Thanks

  • they don't answer....

  • yeah they did, they sent it as a private message

  • ok :D

  • K Drum work shop, first off I just got the PDP X7 7 piece kit, all i can say is, you, guys, ROCK, holy crap its one of the best kits ive had in a long time, you guys are always in my favour, keep up the awesome work guys! (Y)

  • WORD! thanks for the honest props Friend. We always do our best to deliver the higest quality product for the lowest possible price. It's not always easy, but it sure feels good to hear the success stories from happy customers. Play em loud and proud!

  • I have been following DW for quite some time now and I have to say, I'm impressed. But I need an honest answer to this simple question: how much would a four piece (possibly five piece) DW JAZZ series cost? Also, Is the snare included, if not, how much would the snare's price add on? I'm also from Canada so how much would that translate into my currency? Thank you very much; your products are beautiful pieces of art and fantastic sounding instruments.

  • How much would a custom PDP double bass kit cost ?

  • do you guys have any factorys on the east coast

  • we do not :-/

The one and only DW factory is in Oxnard, CA.

  • hey i was wondering what the best dw/pdp set is for $4500 or less?

  • yikes. the best? That's all subjective my friend. You can easily afford a custom DW kit for $4500. Next you have to choose what series (Collectors, Jazz, Classics, EcoX) or PDP. You can get a top-of-the-line PDP kit for under $2000. What kind of sound are you going for?

  • @DrumWorkshopInc experimental metal/punk/ska

  • right on. your best bet is probably a collector's series ssc kit. That's going to be the most versatile and give you that clean punchy modern low-pitched sound (enough adjectives?) that will do your genre justice. If you're looking to save a little bread, PDP is a great low-cost option. Platinum kits are about 500 miles away from being DW kits (they are made in ensenada mexico with all the same materials and standards...just less custom options).

  • @DrumWorkshopInc great, thank you

  • today i went to a local drumset, played a six piec double bas drumset set, dw with the uhhh gold glass finish, they are amazing!!

  • @MrJordan707 one very similar to the one behind him in this video. cheers!

    --dw--

  • Hey guys at Dedub!! Thanks for such wonderful drums!! Can i ask you though, are the Pdp kits made by you guys?? I hear they are but would like to know for sure!! I really hope so!!

  • Absolutely! They are made at our factory in Ensenada Mexico with the same standards as our California workshop. They really are GREAT drums for the $. But don't take my word for it. Go to a dealer and hit em ;)

  • I did, i didn't wanna say it my last comment because i wasn't sure, i thought i twas only a rumor but when i started my us tour last year i bought and fell majorly in love with it. I now use one of the old cx kits... I used to play a Pearl Refenerence... You know how beauitful they sound... My Pdp, sounds a billions times better. I cant wait to hear how a Dedub sounds with my tuning! Oh and for the record, thanks so mush for the 9000 pedals! Ten years playing and i never felt something so good!!

  • pdp is a subsidary company of dw.

  • I've got DW 9002 and i love it SO MUCH! My next drums? ONLY DW!

  • Does he move from Pearl to Dw?

  • if i got sponsored by a company, id definitely choose DW!!!

  • @cordogg1 They choose you, not the other way around.

  • yeah, wicked video. i love my dw's i cannot go back to any other brand...

  • Thanks for the compliment! DW loves you back, and we're stoked to have the best customers in the biz!

  • you guys should get some vid of deen castronovo!!! he is the man!

  • Just do a search for him here on YouTube then, there are tons of videos of him playing.

  • I agree ..these videos don't make much sense without us hearing the person playing the kit ..

  • Yo i love dw drums but i would like to hear Adair play the drums so i could hear what he's talking about!
