I was wondering what type of pencil you were using hear along with the materials you use are I am really interested in starting to build up my instruments and I feel you would know just the right utensils to use :) Please respond if you can I aspire to have the talent possess one day!
The forehead is too small, the cheek bones jut out too much, she looks too angry, her hair looks like the head of a duck, the eyes don't look like eyes and the eyebrows aren't a realistic shape.
Well, then, why don't you go see Rosemary Brantley at the best Fashion Institution on the west coast and apply to teach Fashion Illustration there. I am sure your work ins always symmetrical & perfect right!
Don't get all pissy about it, I'm just giving constructive criticism. Nobody get's it perfect the first time pencil hits paper, but when you see the flaws you go back in and correct them. This lady didn't bother and the flaws are pretty obvious.
you do know that she's using prisma right.... i mean... you can't really erase that much and the proportion is suppose to be fashion.... not normal ugly people. and also, the ear may seem a bit far but the video is tilted at an angle. she's just perfectin every way possible
^^ Actually, I think it has helped my drawing. For one thing, her style is the style I like and I've gotten a lot better at drawing clothes. And my proportions have improved.
buy magazines, cut out the photos you like, get a spiral sketch book from the drug store and some rubber cement glue.. make yourself and idea book for inspiration. It will be there when you need it. Add photos & fabric swatches to it, song lyrics,etc.. whatever inspires you.
Nah, I just enjoy her book and wanted to share. I've only seen the book a couple of time at either Borders and Barnes and Nobles. Since its a school text book, you're more likely to find it online. I got a used copy on Amazon for pretty cheap. ^^

The ear is way too far away from her eye and the jaw is too big, but still her work is pretty awesome.

Yes, totally agree, at least with the ear bit, I didn't notice the jaw thing but I don't plan on replaying this.

As with anything, however, drawing still takes lots of practice. ^^

Sometimes I can't begin drawing, I don't have any ideas...
And I have a bad habit: I always smudge the lines on my paper and I always rub out those lines, and my drawing looks like...
