  • Get a real bike!!!

  • What kind of pipes are those? I have been looking all over for pipes for a 650 and all there seems to be out there are the V&H shorties, nothing like these. What gives....

  • my granddads verago sounds a hell of alot better with straight pipes

  • Niice Johnny Reb Cowboy boots!!

  • very cool

  • that sounds way quieter than my stock gutted pipes on my vulcan 900 custom

  • sounds good

  • Can you get thise pipes in black? Because i'm trying to keep my bike all blacked out. Can't find any sites that have anything for the 650 for exhausts. Only the short shots and some othe rlame looking pipes. Want something nasty with attitude. Those pretty much do it. Wonder if you can put tips on them too.

  • What forward controls are you using? I have an 09 650 Custom and the stock controls are too damn cramped for me @ 6'1" Yours look a lot like the Jardine set I was thinking about getting. How much of a change are they from stock, what did they run you and were they worth it comfort wise? I'd love to know. I need to find a seat and controls that I can comfortably ride with since I can't afford the Raider just yet.

  • I am 6' and the forward controls helped with the ride quality. When I had this bike in 2005 that was the best investment besides the exhaust. Jardine is an excellent set but I believe the ones that I bought began with an "M", I apologize it has been so long since I bought them. The ride is more comfortable with the controls. The Granucci seat I had was not that comfortable but it was very low profile.

  • i like the way that looks, i wanna do almost the same thing to my v star 650 custom except i want hard krome 2.75 big straights exhaust, and a kuryakan hypercharger, with a back rest.i love those bars where did you get them at?

  • It has been such a long time, I can't even remember. I sold this bike in 05, and I truly regret doing so, I put soooo much time and money into it, oh well thats in the past and on to bigger and better bikes!

  • I'm currently using the stock pipes. i was thinking of switching them to teh stright flow type. My friends told me that i will lost the low and torque and the pull between gear. is that true ? will the stright pipes give me better top end power?

  • That sounds like what i'm after ;)

  • I love the pipes. Would like to have a set for my V Star. Were can I get them or are they custom made?

  • ware can i get pipes like that?

  • renrebel13 : ware can i get pipes like that?

    make them. it aint hard....

  • Love the sound and pipes.

  • Are those Kuryakin zombie mirrors?

They look sharp. I'm not big into Yamahas...

  • what are you into? what do you ride? I read harley but no vid on your profile....

  • I'm into Harleys - I have a Sporty - don't have a vid. Is that a problem?

  • Is not a problem. I dont have a vid for my yamaha. Harleys are nice, but their way out of my price range..

  • Well, ride safe. It took a while to save up for mine - and the wait was worth it. I live in Milwaukee - Home of Harley - and it's great to get involved in all of the bashes that they throw. This year, The Boss is playing for the 105th. Looking forward to it.

  • Post more clips of your bike - it sounds perfect. Any other mods contributing to the great sound?

  • Oh, so THAT'S what Heaven sounds like!

  • It looks like the pipes are blocking the battery compartment...Is it harder to get to the battery?

  • Where did you get this pipes man! they're awsome.

  • hey man check my 650 ...tell me what u think ....... thanx

  • that sounds fucking sweet

  • Yes I did, I was going to do it myself but Yamaha has small thin covers over the jets, and I did not want to screw the jets up so I took it to my local Yamaha dealer and they did it for $100, it rode alot better after I had the carbs rejetted.

  • Yamaha told me they aren't allowed to rejet pipes. What state are you in?

  • I am in TN, I went to a yamaha dealership and they rejetted it for me, I did not want to screw anything up, so I a had the mechanic at the dealership do it. That is weird that the dealer won't rejet the carbs for you, maybe they don't know how

  • Im in California stupid laws here that could b the reason dunno.

  • Well it did run without the carbs rejetted but I also installed the air cleaner which was required to have them rejetted and it was stalling alot. If you can find a mechanic or if you have some knowledge of carburators then you can order the jet kit and do it yourself. I did not want to do it because I had never worked on carburators before. I think the jets cost around $60-$70

  • Could you take a video of a drive by on this bike? It sounds very powerful.

  • WOW!!! Where did you get those boots?!?!!?

  • I got them off of ebay, look for Dingo motorcycle boots, they are sweet

  • howdy,

I tried fiding the pipesat both links you posted but i couldn't find them, do you know what they're called?

  • Highway Hawk straight turn down pipes

  • They are called Highway Hawk Turn Down Pipes. The video does not do them justice

  • Those pipes sound awesome. I thought they looked ugly in the catalogue but on the bike they look great.

  • hey where did you get those pipes at? they are sweet, and about how much did they cost ya?

  • I believe I got them from either cruisercustomizing . com or classiccruiser . com, its been awhile since I ordered them. They cost me around $550. Both of these websites are great for parts and accessories.

  • Yes it is a 650

  • They are made by Kuryakyn, I got them off of ebay for a little over $100 and I think you can also order them off of their website.

  • what size is this a 650???
