Acid House was far bigger and more important than punk rock... the UK government did not try to regulate against punk rock - watching this in hindsight, Ross shows himself to be totally out of touch (raving WAS a major youth rebellion and it sailed straight over his head), and Tony Colston Hayter comes across as a dapper.
I don't mean to sound like a git or anything but I hate it when people start clammoring at the same time. I can't understand what each person is saying!>_<
she comes out here as the most sentient intelligent human - i remember watching this LIVE and Ross was on his TV career last legs before he was revived by the incredulous BBC ! in the 2000s........ this was such a pre-prepared hoax of TV for a lame show that surely YOU, yes you incredulous viewing UK public cannot see that????????????
@jkiddscot At least this show was less predictable than Friday Night With Jonathan Ross. And Ross is criticised on air for his hypocrisy in helping Phil Collins to plug his latest record on his show and then banging the drum of youth rebellion. Can you imagine Ross taking criticism like that on his own show today?
I'm unconvinced that Phil Collins is satan. Still, Siouxsie is right about the gatekeepers of the music industry being the ones to stifle creativity.
