Mic is damn good but I'd have to put him behind Les Claypool who is Behind John Myung as being the best IMO, but honestly they are all about equal they just have different styles.
i think pennie is fantastic too. they both bring/brought really cool aspects to the band. songs like time consumer are perfect bass-drums mesh but hearing songs like mother may i live with pennie is a real treat. they both rock except i think josh has kinda lost his mind

i realy doubt that was on purpose sounds like he lost his snare count to me , i dont realy care if i get more thumbs down . he screws up at 1:09 i realy doubt that lose of time was on purpose
Damn, I just listen to Josh Eppard's new ban The MOURS and holy shit, the song I heard was "Christmas From Hell" and it has a total "Blood Red Summer" catchy feeling to it.
Todd + Eppard are just too perfect together. When it comes to overall skill Pennie beats Josh. But Josh just has the rhythm and sound (he makes that hi-hat his bitch when he plays) that Chris will never make. I'd take him over Pennie any day but nonetheless, Pennie makes me happy when he plays.
@21rush12 I gotta disagree. Pennie may have some serious ridiculous technical licks. But the role of a drummer in a band is not to dominate the entire scene and showboat. Josh has a class that is unmatched in many a drummer these days. Look at the relationship with Mike Todd he's got going. It's totally insane.
When that relationship exists, nothing else matters but the music. And that's what live playing should be about.
Forget tricks and licks :-) forget "training and technicality".
well mic and josh were both sent to the earth by the god of rock to conjoin into a musical duo of ass-raping funk. thats why coheed will never be as good. mic and josh are too natural together.
and pennie just came in and fucked it up for everybody.
Have you ever jammed out with anyone before? If you have, then you'd understand how natural it usually comes to the musicians playing just to get into the groove of things.
yea definately...things just begin to flow and its cool because if your all in a somewhat equal state of mind things will all come together and hit when they need ot hit and all that....i love it...and this is fuckin awesome
Did Michael fucking Todd just comment on your video?! ^ HOLY SHIT!

one of the greatest crimes to humanity is breaking up this rhythm section. its a shame that heroin had to go and tear eppard from coheed.

There's something about Joey Eppard's main guitar riff in this that is eerily reminiscent of Stevie Wonder's Superstition.

yeah what i ment was that one person probably started it and then the others picked up
BlaQNeenjah 3 years ago
Ok..I still don't get how that isn't obvious. Joey starts playing, Josh and Mic jump in, once again jam.
CoheedMars90 3 years ago
yeah im sleep deprived and i dont think im making much sense so how about we leave it at JOSH EPPARD AND COHEED ARE GOD!!!!!!!!!!
