You people are really insane! Why the hell would you brush a cat's teeth? Remember, they are cats not people! I don't see any wild animals running around with a tooth brush and a bottle of Listerine tied to their necks! Geeze, get real!
@Dortmunderstrasse Um, you brush their teeth so that they don't rot out of their heads. Cats teeth are just like ours, subject to collecting plaque, developing gingivitis, cavities, etc. Most wild animals don't live long enough for dental hygiene to really matter (plus their natural diet is better for dental health). Domestic pets have pretty long lifespans and live on canned food/kibble...they'll lose their teeth if you don't take a little care. This is just common sense.
wow u make it look so easy, and ur cat is beautiful. I have 2 moggies, my younger one just lays back and lets me do it but my 3yr old who has had to have a dental b4 kicks up such a fuss, its hard work
thats great that you take such good care fo their teeth. I've been trying but its really tough. You brusshed the s**t out of them things tho..my god!! Not a bad ting but those must be some really healthy teeth

how often do you brush them?
Kathyrula 2 years ago
It's suggested to do it at least once a week, every 2 or 3 days will be better. I give them dental treats when I don't brush their teeth.

I have a 15 pound cat and he hates getting his teeth brushed. I have to wear latex gloves so I don't get scratched.

I so wish my cats would let me do that. Way to go. Your kitten will never have tartar. Excellent pet care.
