  • Everyone needs to find their blue bayou...very befitting for where I find myself on my life journey

  • 38 dislikes by "La Hermandad"

  • It's funny how this was considered rock back then, now it's too country for today's mainstream country radio.

  • ROGAN

  • What a voice - what a woman !! Unique !

  • Watching this at this advanced age, it is easy to see why I was obsessed with Linda when I was 17!! She is the goods!

  • Queen Of Rock is Anne Murray....or is it heavy metal?

  • @Quick420ful anne who?

  • gorgeous voice

  • Real nice tune like sweet wine just gets better.

  • IT DOESN'T GET ANY BETTER

  • This Girl is sexy wearing clothes!~

  • Miss Aquilara and Miss Spears eat your heart out!

  • Now that's what I call, 'a sexy performance' = > straight from the gut ... straight from the heart :)

  • I'm left handed, and politically left of centre, but one has to draw the line somewhere.

  • OMG! I LOVE this song! It was one of my mother's favorite songs. I remember being young & at LEE's Hawaiian Island in Clifton, NJ. with my family in our "happier days". She asked me to go up & ask the band if they could play this song. They did. She sat there & rocked gently to it as if "Linda" were singing to her. I'll never forget the twinkle in her eye and smile on that little lady as she listened to this song. EVERYTIME I hear this song-I think of my mom-"Blanca Rosa" I love U Mom! R.I.P.

  • Bellissima voce

  • what a voice! :-)

  • MAN ON FIRE Brought me here!

  • This is certainly the best Big ' O' version of Blue Bayou.....and believe me Linda Ronstadt has really excelled as a great singer.

  • I am the only one old enough to remember this song in the house. Whats worse is I was only 5 when this came out.

  • Have I gone deaf ?? I can't hear Linda !!

  • wish she had not gained the number of dress sizes she had. please linda get back to your greayerst form insinging and stage presence.

  • @BernieUWS

I beg to differ. She is larger, but, really, who cares. Her voice is incredible! The Stone Ponys were fantastic, she was great with Eagles, I could go on, but won't. Listen to the voice, friend.

  • i love her so good man .. !!

  • This song is an ABSOLUTE favorite of mine (Linda's voice is PURE gold).

But listen to this woman's sweet voice:

    watch?v=zBy9t171DEM

  • Linda Ronstadt's best song... Blue Bayou..... Such strong emotion from the heart, a beautifully powerful song that will stand the test of time. A superb job! Great vocals! I wish more artists today would concentrate more on their singing ability rather than the theatrics and gimmicks that accompany most recording artists of today. Linda sings her soul away.

  • This is a video of my daughter Valerie , done at our annual Soup Kitchen BYOB fund raiser. Give a listen .

  • i grew up wt this song :)

  • is beautiful i would like to have in spanish

  • Linda......Oohhhh.......Linda !!!!!!!!!

  • I grew up with all this stuff cuz my mom had a massive album collection.

  • your wrong it's because of her that the eagles even exits. do your homework. It' more like what she could have done for joe w.

  • @CORPERTINA wow, you learn something fucking new every other day...i never knew that..that's the power of the 70's music era. im glad i was apart of it growing up.

  • The eagles were her backing band before they got big. Imagine what walsh could have done for this woman. I love her.

  • One of those most unforgetable best loving songs

  • Aren't The Eagles her back up band here?

  • AMAZING voice I feel the energy in her voice

  • I'll tell you: It's difficult to equal the quality of Roy Orbison, yet, Linda Ronstadt pulled it off. I think Roy would've approved too.

  • @kja427 i agree

  • I lUUUVVV Linda

  • I still don't believe why she is not inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, I guess because she is half Mexican.

  • Wonderful . . . however many times you hear it. Roy Orbison must have been thrilled too - like the rest of us. The 37 dislikes were listening to something else.

  • Sigh!

  • I'm there

  • No solo la cancion.. que lo vale¡¡. Tambien su nombre: LINDA resulta bello. Bravo Linda¡¡¡¡

  • Wow her voice is amazing....

  • Mă întorc într-o zi

    Fie ce-o fi....

    multumesc ...superb

  • Linda... How sexy was that!...

  • PITA!!!

  • LOVE HER !

  • alguien sabe que fue de esta gran cantant?

  • @MrElmarijuano420 Vive en California y es una activista conjuntamente con Carlos Santana.

  • am I missing something why no sound

  • This is my most favorite Linda Ronstadt song. I never get tired of hearing it.

She wasn't called the Queen of Rock for nothing.

  • @southroncross Well, it's not exactly her song, but her performance is flawless!

  • Great song by Linda, but crappy audio on the posting!

  • One of the cutest women ever. And a voice like an angel.

  • This was the first version I heard of this song when I was young. It's great, but later I discovered Roy Orbison's original and well.....Roy is even better. But I still love this one. Shame the sound is a bit distorted at the louder parts.

Where has Linda gone by the way...

  • it does not matter what sort of music type i listen to on you tube and i listen to anything from metal to this. people cant express themselves without saying moronic insults and swearing. its not shocking but just sad, the world needs to chill out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! happier times linda bring em on!

  • Hermosa,al igual k en MARIACHI!!!!

  • she screams in the song but still also sounds like shes singing, and i guess she is.

  • i loved linda when i was a kid, wanted to look like her and sing like a magical angel like her.

  • That is soooooooooooo sexy......

  • goes to show that ronstadt fans have class......LR greatest singer ever!!!

  • This is what i say to my fellow golfers when I drive past their long drives. Blew By You.

  • @concreteoutlaws ..........lol...beautiful..!

  • what a voice, and she was so cute and adorable. she's not aged very well though, sorry.

  • @brainsareus ......what an asshole thing to say..!

  • @NonStopRocker maybe so,but i calls em as i seez em. i'm not trying to be mean. i do respect the talent. get a reality check, rockette.

  • I concur...often its best to just shut up...the world is sick enough...must we cont to say everything that comes to mind.damn ...where do we draw the line from children with no boundaries to adults who.s job is to mentor and teach our kids boundaries... and you title yourself brainareus....im gonna pray for you.

  • @NonStopRocker i've thought it over, you are right. i was a petty asshole. i apologize to you, and to linda.

  • @brainsareus ...Its all good.....I too, shouldnt have called you an asshole..sorry....thanks for writing..!

  • Why is this so dark. The original played around 1974 on Donnie Sutherland's Sounds Unlimited was a lot lighter. It was the same clip. I remember it clearly, especially those tight jeans to be honest.

  • missing you

  • t heres no point with the advertisements..america is in a sessiion:p....anyways i heard this beautiful song on MAN ON FIRE withDenzil washington..great movie too..

  • Perfect x

  • Prof Robert Sapolsky on bass.

  • I'm blue by you because you never called, Linda.

  • WOW!

  • epic song

  • whats with the CRAPPY long adverts

  • The sad 27 dislike sobriety and just made an error did you know her first language is spanish! Pure joy live in concert in 70's clear strong voice caused tingles in spine

  • magic

  • i can take it, is it just me or did she over belt this one

    just wondering

  • Love her voice, love her songs, love her, hate her political views!!

  • Sometimes a Voice/singer and a song just go together, Ronstadt in my opinion could sing the phone book and I would listen But she OWNS two songs Blue Bayou and Your No Good.... a third might be Silver Threads. I'm sure at some point she got bored with singinging them but you could never tell it because she is a true professional and gave every performace her best ...

  • I see I'm not alone. I meant every word.

This song really is an absolute, unique gem that never lost it's beauty since the first time I heard it on the radio and I stopped in awe to focus and listen.

But my sincere thanks Linda and anyone else who helped make this song.

    LOVE IT!!!!!!!

  • I totally agree with the comment above. I have always adored this song. It always made me think of the Blue Bayou restaurant at Disneyland... Memories..

  • Love the cow bell!

  • This reminds me of the movie Man On Fire. I love it so much.

  • @morna45 She is still alive?

  • @Lindawatcher Oh yes...Alive and kicking a**, as they say...thanks for asking.

  • Her voice is a national treasure. I love all her songs. She really knocks me dead with the songs from "Canciones de mi Padre". Wow.

  • Honest to God, if I had just 5 songs to play on a deserted island (till' I died there).

This is ABSOLUTELY one of them. Would not have ANY trouble picking this one.

    No Joke.

  • Linda Rondstadt es una bella mujer, pero eso sólo es un pequeño atisbo de su formidable talento. Maravillosa interpretación.

  • but this one sounds better than the original.

  • ROY ORBISON IT'S THE ORIGINAL VERSION

  • 24 people have sand in their vaginas.

  • what a stunning woman to listen and look at ! Wow.......

  • How can anyone hit the dislike button. A Roy Orbison song sung by Linda Rindstadt. Driving down a lonely hard road at dusk heading for home or anywhere. How can anyone dislike this song.

  • Ahhh such a talent and so nice! Can listen to Linda all day, x

  • Linda remains one of the best and most versatile female artists ever. She had a HUGE pop belt like this. Then, she could do all the big band stuff with the Nelson Riddle Orchestra. At the same time, she could do classical legit stuff like Mable in Pirates of Penzance. Amazing.

  • a angels voice sing again

  • where are you you sing like a angel

  • When you are classically trained (opera) like she is, you have an incredible range and powerful voice. She's amazing. I love how she was constantly morphing in her music...from Stone Ponys to country flavored Heart Like a Wheel to music from the forties on What's New to Spanish music to duets....you never know what you are going to get, but you know it'll be good if Linda is singing it!

  • Man, can she belt.

  • God's gift to singing

  • That is God given TALENT, an absolutely beautiful voice, there are no words to describe her aptly.

  • this song fits real well in man on fire UP THE IRONS FROM LOUISIANA

  • What a hauntingly beautiful song - one that belongs in my list of songs that never fail to relax me when I hear it.

  • An absolutely beautiful youg lady with a wonderful voice singing her little heart out. Che Buena, fantastic.

  • Personally i think she is one hell of a "spunk rat" and a great singer to boot. she really is beautiful and so sexy

  • to me this is one of the all time greatest songs ever written (thank you Roy) and Linda's put the cherry on top!!

  • wow songs back in the days sound almost the same as recordings when played live

  • Stephen Kings Dreancatcher brought me here.

  • great

  • To any that deem it necessary to criticize this woman and her voice and talent, I can only say one thing...."FUCK YOU"!

  • This song came out in what....75 or 76. Her voice still gives me goose bumps. She is, and always will be one of the greatest.

  • Wow. Pure and unadulterated talent. Imagine, getting in front of a microphone and singing your heart out without weird costumes, special effects, and backup dancers.

Blessings, Linda, for all the great music and memories you've given us.

  • In the movie "man on fire" Denzel Washington has a gun to head as this song is playing. He pulls the trigger and the bullet doesnt fire, very chilling.

  • classic...

  • Love Linda! I truly gifted singer!

  • when ppl criticize linda they are only ragging on themselves. she's genius.

  • there should be a petition to induct this talented great singer into the rock n roll hall of fame! LONG OVERDUE!

  • @clouds882 As well as Ann Wilson. I agree.

  • classic !!!

  • nice

  • I salute Linda , I could listen to this song, her version, over and over again all day.

  • Linda's version and Roy Orbison's just blow me away. Man, can that lady sing.

  • Roy Orbison is great, but Linda R. owns this song.

  • simply amazing voice....this is my favorite off all her songs...

  • I just love the range she has basically going from a whisper to belting out and backing it down again.

  • i remember you when i listen to this... (sigh)

  • Linda Ronstadt, Happy Birthday!! and many many more. Thank you for your music. I have enjoyed it for many years.

  • Love her sound, never got the real credit for how good she was.

  • At :55 after 'back some day' she turns to breathe, i've never heard linda gasp during a song , not that i have a problem with some singers gasping but she's a real pro who knows how to keep it soooo pure, i'll never get tired of Linda's voice

  • cc sabathia just did a little blew by you 98 mph heater to finish the game

  • With this song and others (such as "Long Long Time" Linda Ronstadt is uniquely the epitome of perfection with each and every lyric. The twenty indefensible idiots who punched "dislike" on this rendition of "Blue Bayou" are stark reminders of a polluted and imperfect society, one that Linda blessed with rarefied talent and grace.

  • @RichHaney Not that I disagree with your view of Ronstad, but 'twenty indefensible idiots' might be as justified as you. The description might apply to many of the 2530 people, though!

  • thanks linda , many a nice thought

  • Man On Fire (2003)

  • I love this rendition of this Orbison classic.

  • energy! thats her! very natural!

  • Roy Orbison would have loved this I'm sure...

  • With lyrics before me,LR's singing has left me dazed.thhanks for this amazing upload.
