  • WTVD has a similiar radar (also 1,000,000 watts), but the difference between them and WRAL is WTVDs First Alert Doppler XP is NOT Dual Polarimetric.

  • As much as i love WRAL, they really dropped the ball in the 2000 snowstorm that paralyzed most of central N.C.

    They were forecasting 6 inches of snow in the sandhills, they ended up with 20+ inches instead.
