  • I have a wave radio also,,,,,, i love how it sounds, for being such a small unit,,, it fills the entire room with nice warm sound,,,, HOWEVER,,,, i just do not like the fact that it's only able to be used by the remote control,,,,,, if you lose the remote ,,,you're screwed,,,,, they oughta put at least put some of the controls on the unit itself,,,just for that reason i think,,,,, but other than that,,,,, i still love my wave radio,,,,,,

  • Indeed!

That design decision was brought to Bose's attention (I'm sure they know about the "issue") through the Bose Idea Exchange quite often actually.

I have two remotes; one in the box hidden and one ready for use ;).

  • Please do so, I'm interested. For me to be convinced I would need more than the ("It's a paper cone"), instead I'd expect laser inferometry results, material analysis and really scientific, quantitive and objective stuff.

Saying "the paper Bose uses is shitty" also holds little merit as I am unaware to the actual type of paper and its composite materials.

    Anxiously awaiting (Y)

  • Can you provide scientific proof that a paper cone is worse musically than other materials?

In a subjective manner, could you also explain why some higher end 'audiophile' brands use paper cones for their natural characteristics?

  • all it is is a speaker with a 7ft glass tube on the end to increace efficiency, and have the sound "bounce" off the walls making it more sourround.

  • sp= increase.

No, it isn't "just" a 7ft tube it is a 1/4 wave transmission line enclosure. The labyrinth is the reason engineers live in our world. I would know..I am one. Sound reflects off of walls no matter what, it is literally simultaneous and exists within the sound decay of the room.

The wave music system has tubes combining to be 62" IIRC in length. PS, you can't take just any speaker and slap it on the end of a tube to get controlled sound and low distortion.

  • the 7 foot tube is only in the bose accoustic wave music system the big funky stereo looking one bigger than the table radios

  • I know. That is why I said wave music system. The lines go: Wave Radio Series II, Wave Music System, Acoustic Wave Music System.

  • damn how can a six inch fit in there

  • yeah condogman is right with the bose wave radio in a free space it sounds better becuase the wave radio has all the bass sound coming from the back of the wave radio

  • ive seen the inside of this radio they have a subwoofer in a tube and thats how they do it

  • so they lied lol i had a feeling cuz if one speaker is doin high notes how is it also gonna do low notes lol

  • right the big sub inside handles the bass and the 2 other speakers handle the stereo mids and highs

  • how big is the sub

  • ive never took one of these apart or seen the sub up close but ive seen the infomercial for the Bose music system and they say the pipe is 7 feet long and its coiled up inside and has the actual sub speaker inside im thinking its prob a 6 inch maybe i really dont know

  • It's a 4.5" driver similar in specs to the Bose 802 Series II loudspeakers.

  • I also work for Bose here in Birch Ru, MI. Lifestyles are a big hit here and Wave Music Systems are very nice to have. Can't wait for my discount to kick in as i am only 1 month away, then hello WMS! Also, you should not surround the WMS as it was in the video, try and have it more in an open area for better sound, alos i noticed a lrage floor plan, try and move to an Acoustic Wave for even louder bass, more clarity, and overall better performace.

  • Truuuust me I am aware of this ;). I actually restored a pair of my Father's 901 Series IVs so the WMS handles those areas that the 901s can't reach-there are few ;).

  • 901s very good choice sir very good indeed.

  • What awful music!

  • Yeahhhh, that's my Mom's music. She was playing it and I could feel and hear bass like there was a stereo in my room. So, naturally, I figured I'd give it a try and give those a glimpse into waveguide technology (TL math wayyy refined).

  • you should play different types of music like rap rock hiphop and pop for example, play some popular songs that you hear on pop radio today, lol play justin timberlake's song sexyback lol, or tom sawyer by rush just to name a couple good songs and shoot another video

  • I'm looking for a new digital camera, but I will take some more videos, no doubt.

  • that would be cool im looking for a new digital camera myself, are there any good ones out there for a resonable price, i want to be able to take pics and shoot video and edit those clips for youtube

  • If you have the dough, any of the top four models from Canon all have amazingly good sound quality and picture quality. I was very impressed!

That said, I made my videos using an inexpensive Kodak.

  • im not looking for like 10 MP 5 MP is fine for me i just want to take good pictures and shoot and edit video for youtube so i want to stay away from the cameras that make videos in the quicktime format b/c i dont have iMovie i use windows movie maker and WMM doesnt like quicktime videos so id get one that uses a WMM friendly format like mpeg 1 or avi or like my old camera .asf (windows media)

  • i like justin timberlake my love

  • its a cool tune

  • if anyone that of him as my love thats not what i meant i meant the song he made lol he aint my love lol

  • Dude I know its all good

  • lol u rock dude u madd nice on youtube i think ur one of the nice pplz on utube

  • hell yeah will I try to be nice there is alot of ppl on here that got nothing better to say in ppl's comments, i am not one of them im a madd nice youtuber, and thanks for the you rock comment

  • lol tahnx dude man i would love that bose system i want to get it for myparents cuz they need a new radio for there room with good sound

  • this system here would replace the old sony system in my living room it needs work

  • hahah, well at least you are enthusiastic about their stuff! I hear Bose (the R&D center) is especially exciting to work at.

  • Yeah i work for the sales team mainly AWMS,WMS and companions but i just think they are an amazing company and the products are the best.
