While there is no excuse for running, that cop should be fired and locked up for vehicular assault. He purposely hit the guy and admitted it on the video. That, in and of itself, is enough to convict him. He should lose his badge. Send this video to the newspapers in the area that this was done in and see what they do about it. There is a video of him driving through an apartment complex and through a playground attempting to run a guy over. Don't worry, he was acquitted from all charges when someone took him to court. Our friend is still on the force.
I thought this was pretty commonplace... if somebody is on the run with a gun or knife, I think it seems like reasonable force... otherwise the cop would have to get out and chance on foot in the dark, physically take down an armed suspect and risk getting hurt or killed.

i know how it is, also since California is in an economical crisis, the state encourages giving people fines, even high school students are fined for being late to school if it happens a third time in a single semester, they also make a small percent off who ever they ticket as reward. i see them literally hiding behind cars and bushes almost everyday as early as 6:00 AM

I thought this was pretty commonplace... if somebody is on the run with a gun or knife, I think it seems like reasonable force... otherwise the cop would have to get out and chance on foot in the dark, physically take down an armed suspect and risk getting hurt or killed.
