unions need to get in step with the economy. if everyone else has, on average, had a 10% drop in the income in the past year, they will not support a union's bid to get a 2 or 3% rise. They will feel as though they should not have to pay for someone else to get a pay rise when they have had a pay drop. Ironically, and as unions know, the mob rules. The union will be impacted by the power of the people who make up the broader populous. Be mindful not myopic.
